  1. They obviously don't but it's time they got the message. The last away match I attended was Kings Lynn v Coventry and I won't be in a hurry to go back for the 'B' fixture. 40 minute delay waiting for the sun to go down - okay that's reasonable but if it's a regular problem why not start at 8pm instead of 7.30pm? Standing around in a bitterly cold wind was not much fun. Heat 11 Iverson took out Chris and Danny on the 1st bend so the race needed to be re-run but not before the 2 Bees riders sorted out their damaged machinery. So why not bring the interval forward one heat to have it during the delay? But no we have to wait and then have an interval after the next heat. Drives me mad all this messing around. Just get on with it! 15 heats - no interval to keep the match flowing.
  2. Drizzle is a light liquid precipitation consisting of liquid water drops smaller than those of rain – generally smaller than 0.5 mm (0.02 in) in diameter.[1] Drizzle is normally produced by low stratiform clouds and stratocumulus clouds. Precipitation rates from drizzle are on the order of a millimetre per day or less at the ground. Owing to the small size of drizzle drops, under many circumstances drizzle largely evaporates before reaching the surface and so may be undetected by observers on the ground. Definitely detected more than drizzle falling into that big puddle on the centre. But hey ho...... never any point in arguing with a man because I've learnt from experience that they just make up any old rubbish to get their point across. So okay it was just drizzling with rain all night and the riders are a load of wimps for not completing the 15 heats.
  3. Well you can bet your life it won't be for Coventry so that narrows it down a bit. Better leave Taffy at home as dogs aren't allowed.
  4. What's happened to SCB? Not like him to miss the chance of a good argument by ignoring questions asked.
  5. Who is this Adrian Flux? I noticed it had changed from the Norfolk Arena when we were there last Wednesday.
  6. Drizzling? It might have started off like that at 7.30pm but it soon became a steady downpour throughout the match. It was also chucking it down all the way home to Leicester. So what you are saying then is you'd rather it was called off altogether and there was no attempt to try to run it? If so you wouldn't be on here complaining the promotion had taken your entrance money with no intention of running the meeting and left us standing around in the cold and wet while a decision was made. Or another option - call it off about 4pm to stop people travelling as the weather forecast was poor. Take your pick. I was also under the impression you've been coming to Brandon a few times this season so which of the last 2 matches out of the 3 you've attended have you not seen the match completed? As far as I can see they've all run their course, apart from the Chris Harris Testimonial which was rightly called off way before the start time.
  7. I didn't know Hans was going to be missing. So if guests are allowed for both riders Leicester will be strengthened then. What's Rory doing at the weekend? He seems to like riding against Coventry.
  8. Are you still banging on about this? Not seen anyone agreeing with you yet as it was the obvious decision to put us all out of our misery. And think of a better comparision because the one you've given is stupid.
  9. Yes, bit of a worry this match as Swindon always seem to be our bogey team. Perhaps a bit of rain (but not too much) might be in order to put the whingeing Aussie off again.
  10. Okay I'm being a bit thick I know, but that's not really anything unusual so I will ask......what the hell is the 'surprise evacuation procedure test'?
  11. I didn't and neither did the couple I was standing with. I changed my programme number 7 from James Wright to Steve Boxall at the beginning of the match and presumed that's who it was all the way through, especially with confirmation from Peter York. Oooops!
  12. How did you smuggle your own drink in? There are notices everywhere saying no food or drink to be brought in but I didn't know this before we got there. Mind you if they had searched my bag I wonder what they would have made of the two Pigs Ears I'd got in there.
  13. There was plenty of time for all this before the match started and during the long delay waiting for the sun to go down. Have they all got weak bladders that they can't last a couple of hours? I drove from the Travel Lodge at Long Sutton, watched the match including 2nd half and then drove back again, all without the need to visit the loo. Drives me mad all this pratting about with long drawn out meetings.
  14. Weatherwatcher....really? You produce a list of British tracks including Weymouth, Hull, Isle of Wight, Newport, Exeter, Oxford, Reading.
  15. My pet subject - drives me mad all this hanging around and then having an interval. If they had to have one why not before heat 11 when there was yet another delay while the 2 Bees riders sorted their machines out following the first bend crash. It's not set in stone it has to be after that heat surely?
  16. Got to agree, although this was my first visit to Kings Lynn for while so I can't compare this meeting to any others this season. Mind you looking on the bright side heat 15 was a cracker and the meeting was actually on after a dodgy looking weather forecast so I'm happy tucked up in bed in my Travel Lodge room.
  17. That's not a sting. Bees to lose by a lot more than 8, but then I'm always pessimistic because it's a nice surprise if they do better.
  18. Any relation to Brady who rode for Peterborough on Sunday?
  19. Well, I'm on my own and I still enjoy it. (Can't count my companion as she goes to sleep.) It's easy to make friends at Speedway and I've made some already at Peterborough who sit in the row in front of me. We've even become friends on Facebook now.
  20. You weren't there were you spencebel? Sorry if I missed you. I bumped into Dave Burden, who is a Rye House fan, hobbling around on crutches. Hope the operation goes well Dave. Also Thomas's dad - get well soon Thomas - miss seeing you at Peterborough. Met Julie Blackwell (on the gate) for the first time and even recognised her from her Facebook photo which is quite an achievement for me.
