  1. That's not a sting. Bees to lose by a lot more than 8, but then I'm always pessimistic because it's a nice surprise if they do better.
  2. Any relation to Brady who rode for Peterborough on Sunday?
  3. Well, I'm on my own and I still enjoy it. (Can't count my companion as she goes to sleep.) It's easy to make friends at Speedway and I've made some already at Peterborough who sit in the row in front of me. We've even become friends on Facebook now.
  4. You weren't there were you spencebel? Sorry if I missed you. I bumped into Dave Burden, who is a Rye House fan, hobbling around on crutches. Hope the operation goes well Dave. Also Thomas's dad - get well soon Thomas - miss seeing you at Peterborough. Met Julie Blackwell (on the gate) for the first time and even recognised her from her Facebook photo which is quite an achievement for me.
  5. Chris 3rd, Scott 2nd in heat 3. Chris 4th, Scott 3rd in heat 13 so no. Someone is going to be pleased. Not according to my Birmingham friend as he said Danny would come last and he was right. He's a bit like Rory - don't use him in heat 15.
  6. Same as Sunday then with all the speakers off except the grandstand. I hope Mick has got a reduction in the rent. Didn't anyone else notice the tactical thinking going on in heat 10? If Danny hadn't come last in that heat Belle Vue would have had the chance to use Scotty with a Badger hat (as my friend calls it) on the best gate in heat 11. I guess what is done is done and we still got our 4 points. 3 points...... mdmc82.
  7. No start line girls? I hadn't actually noticed they weren't there. Agree with everything you've said though and well done to the referee for keeping the meeting running smoothly. The only downside was the tannoy playing up again and wasn't working for half of the match on the 3rd/4th bend. Enjoyable match with some good racing so well done to both teams.
  8. Hans off. Hopefully he is happy at Coventry as he has come back for a second season.
  9. Thanks. He should have a good career in Speedway if he stays level headed.
  10. He's not so bad these days as he doesn't commentate on the last lap (or two) of races. I've got quite used to him at Coventry this season with David Hammond in the commentary box. Well, he's given his views now and agrees with the meeting being stopped, but he would say that wouldn't he?
  11. That's the problem and what racers & royals is pointing out. It should say 25th.
  12. Not sure but I did spot Steve Shovlar and Starman. Greg Hancock looks more like Norman Wisdom every time I see him on T.V. lately.
  13. Bloody Poole again. Is there nothing they're not good at?
  14. Blimey I thought I was slow walking back but at least I've got the excuse of two dodgy knees. Spoilsport - you've edited the time on your post now.
  15. If that's the case I hope they will also look into how many are treated for smoking and alcohol related illnesses.
  16. Yes it was, apart from the Ipswich match which wasn't so good as the track looked overwatered and their riders weren't too keen, with the exception of Danny King and Cameron Heeps who got stuck in. Got me worried for a minute when I read 'No more Sunday afternoon racing.' But scrolling past the photo I see it's now 5pm which is still okay for me but I wouldn't be so keen if it was 7.30pm as I don't really like driving on the A47 in the dark.
