  1. We're over limit with holder in team. So wouldn't be possible.
  2. Can't see how we're going to fit in Tai, Jack and Tobi realistically. Would take dropping either picko and Ellis for tai and a 2 point rider or making 3 changes.
  3. Well there's your first problem. You're comparing 2 completely different levels of sport, which is completely unfair. The Ektraliga is the most professionally run league of the speedway world, because its the best paid speedway league in the world and the best attended speedway league in the world. For them racing in one league pays well enough for that to be their full time job. For a good amount of Biritish riders its either racing in multiple leagues or having it as a part time job. And these riders are massively important in the current state of speedway, there's less riders to go around so obviously the sport needs to give them some incentive to keep racing. If you keep giving less, then dont expect riders to show up and put their lives on the line. I agree to an extent guests do need to be used less, the situation with Kennett was a farce last season, but Poole using Complin is no different to whats been happening for at the very least the last 2 decades of the sport running and is far down the list of things the sport needs to fix.
  4. For all the whinging about Complin guesting for Poole, there has been very little solution been given, and the majority of solutions given being an absolute load of crap. At the end of the day riders are for the most part paid for points, and at this level it isn't always the best paid job. So if Lee can earn some extra money taking a guest booking, then I can't see the problem? And its hardly something new, guests have always been part and parcel to speedway, a necessary for a dangerous sport where injuries arise. The way I see it is Poole shouldn't be punished for a rider getting injured, so the suggestion that they should have to field a lesser averaged rider because they're at reserve is ludicrous. And if a rider can earn extra money, they should also be allowed to.
  5. Sounds like Pickering will be back soon enough. I know Kings Lynn fully intend on reintroducing him into their side, but surely if it fits then we should be offering him a place in the side to replace Bellego?
  6. Yeah and Kenny Carter turned out to be completely mentally stable...
  7. I think Redcar have put a nice subtle touch on their race suits which helps with that issue. Each rider has a different colour just above their elbow to help differentiate the riders. Nothing massive, but a clever idea from whoever designed their race suits!
  8. Surely there's got to be a point here where Holder could take out a lawsuit against Chapman? There must be some form of verbal or written agreement between himself and the promotion and unless he has signed for Ipswich, then all of his preparation for the season is going to go to waste. Once again the sport is an absolute shambles.
  9. I thought she did a grand job when I went to see Sheffield there. Could be 3 years of experience to where she's improved, but I found her level of interaction and talking to the fans to be spot on, which is better than 80% of announcers who absolutely love the sound of their own voice.
  10. First off, i hope Rew has a speedy recovery But that track cannot be fit for purpose.I know you've gotta have a screw loose to do the sport, but surely any rider with a slight bit of common sense should have took one look at the standard and put their bikes back in the van? It just screams an accident waiting to happen, I know riders want to keep sharp over the winter but racing on that is beyond stupid.
  11. Looks the weakest of the sides assembled so far. Banking on either Sedgmen or Allen to really hit the ground running. Either should be fine as a 6, but have my doubts when they'll be needed in the main body.
  12. Not an overly impressive team. Think it's one that'll get absolutely found out away from home and could really struggle in the reserve department. I know there was talk of Schlein coming out of his retirement, but I didn't think they were being serious! Hopefully he can carry on as he did for Poole.
  13. I mentioned In the sheffield thread as I believed the criteria is- 1. Be under 25 or have less than 3 years experience in the top league And 2. Have a Premiership average under 5.5 or championship average under 6.5 So rightfully Flint is in
  14. Like when Cooper beat Greg Hancock in an outing just before signing for sheffield, if my memory serves me right! Looks to be a very good and capable rider, and with this being said I'm not knocking the lad at all bit he did finish on a 7 point average. Which in all honest is a great feat in his first season, but arguably there's riders in the national league that averaged better than Ace but couldn't cut the mustard in the championship. I just really hope the lad doesn't feel the pressure and can focus on developing and improving, but I do think when you're riding for a club like Glasgow that are really focused on winning the league that can be quite difficult.
  15. That is Olly Alexander and the show is Ru Paul's drag race. I'd say it's just a random top given by a stylist. Funnily enough it's just a stretched out photo of Martin Goodwin from an old speedway star
  16. Would be a bit left field but impressed enough before his injury. Would rather give Gilkes a go than Bailey or Kemp.
  17. I'll stand to be corrected but I thought the rules were 1. Be under 25 or have less than 3 years experience in the top league And 2. Have a Premiership average under 5.5 or championship average under 6.5
  18. I wouldn't think so now as he's 26. But surely Ipswich will go with Anders Rowe?
  19. I think we can guess the top 5 pretty easily. But the last 2 are where its gonna be interesting. Seems a lot of talk that Kerr won't be back, Mountain seems nailed on for leciester and I'd be surprised if we brought back Sedgmen really. Berge would be the dream get. Excellent round Owlerton and garnered plenty of experience in Poland now, he should make a mockery of his average. The other option would be one of the Cook brothers at Poole. But realistically could either hold their own as a number 6 in the top league? Another could be looking at someone like Knudsen at Berwick. Impressed in his short stint and looks to be one of the better Danes but he does have a lot of other commitments on the continent. Then it's now the spanner of the rising star. Mountain won't be eligible and Dan Thompson will be back at Leicester I'd imagine so we'll be looking at someone new. For me out of the list, Flint would be the stand out and could see him absolutely thriving round Owlerton but I cant see Wolves letting him go. Its a question of looking at what's left, Rowe will be at Ipswich, Jenkins will be at Peterborough, Gilkes or Bailey to Belle Vue. The best of the rest with reluctancy, would be Kemp. Feel as a rider he just isn't suited to our track and backs out of battles. But beggars can't be chooser
  20. That'd be a brilliant side with the limit in play. Can see loads of improvement.
  21. average will Jorgensen come on? Very surprised Berwick have retained Knudsen, should prove a great signing for next season if the rumours are true of a lowered average limit
  22. You've got a short memory old man and are a fool if you don't want Howarth back on that average for next season.
  23. Thank it'd be a massive mistake for Berwick to run with Ace. Unless the points limit gets dramatically reduced. Being realistic, Berwick won't be running with a top heavy side and if thongs stay the way they are then it runs the risk of Berwick going under the limit once again.
