Well we did have a good 5 minutes of heavy rain. But it's stopped and cleared up a bit now. -

I'm across the road from the stadium and it's been lashing it down all morning till around 9ish. Cleared up a bit now with just a few scattered clouds. Should be on as long as their is no more heavy rain -

Right... Do Entertain us. Tell us why it'd be 'the biggest injustice in Speedway' if Belle Vue didn't make it to the final? -
Belle Vue V Sheffield Playoff Semi

Well according to the first press release to when the merger was announced- "I'm also pleased to announce that we will keep our own identities. We'll run under one umbrella, so the team will appear as Scunthorpe/Sheffield in the league table, but will race as Scunthorpe Saints at Scunthorpe and as Sheffield at Sheffield, probably resurrecting the Prowlers nickname. If, for argument's sake, the Isle of Wight come to Scunthorpe, it will be Scunthorpe who will go to the Isle of Wight for the return fixture but if Buxton go to Sheffield, then it will be Sheffield who go to Buxton”. I myself have enjoyed the merger. We've seen some great up and coming talent at Sheffield and hopefully it will continue on to next season -

Where was it said that the team would be named Sheffield/Scunthorpe Saints, other than speculated on here? It was always planned to be the Saints at Scunthorpe and the Prowlers at Sheffield. -

Seen him do a few second halves at Sheffield. Both Nathan and Robert Lambert certainly look a talent for the future. -

Great win for Scuntfield. Looks like a great performance for Birks getting a full maximum and Steve Worrall a paid maximum Well done lads! Although it's sad to see Roynon having to withdraw from the meeting, hope it's nothing serious. -

Sheffield/scunthorpe Vs Buxton/stoke

Good performance from the Prowlers in both meeting, with a little bit of help from Redcar! Obviously the conditions had an impact on the quality of racing but we did have the odd few races which we're spectacular! Have to say it's a welcomed change to see the odd National league meeting at Owlerton and I for one really hope the connection between the two clubs continue on to next season -

Colts V Scunthorpe 23rd March

I'd be absolutely fine with it as i would have the tigers to follow week in, week out and still get a small amount of national racing. I think the main reason I'm frustrated is because there's been a perfectly good reason set out and whether we like it or lump it, they're a business first. At this time I'm just glad I've got 1 team to follow! and I'm very grateful of our own management for keeping the Tigers going I have a lot of respect for Rob Godfrey, he's built a successful speedway venue from the ground up and one of the most exciting speedway tracks. But at a time when speedway isn't as profitable as it once was and when everyone's feeling the pinch to save money then it's understandable for him to take the help from Sheffield and take some weight off his shoulders. I'm sure it's not a decision he wanted to make but it'll probably be for the best in the long run. -

But it's purely for financial reasons! if the club would've carried on losing money with the Saints then they may be no saints at all and i think it's unfair to expect the management to try and keep two clubs afloat. I think some of you need to realize just how lucky you are you've got your own track, training track, the scorpions and still get a bit of national league racing as well, i bet plenty of fans who're without a teams would kill to be in the position your in , but it just isn't enough is it?
