I really just put any of those 4 of examples of how it could be filled. Fully expect Skidmore & Worrall to be elsewhere but they were just half decent examples. Bellego could be a real possibility i think.
-
So from whats been said on here Berwick are basically looking at a team of- 1. Jorgensen 7.80 2. Mellgren 5.57 3. Doolan 6.95 4. rider up to 6.85-R.Worrall 6.84/Skidmore 6.84/Bellego 5.98 5. Alden 7.37 6. Wethers 4.96 7. Carr 3

Well, that's Paco out then! Shame but it's not the biggest loss. I'm pretty happy with how the new rule has worked out definitely suits our sort of team building for next season. Now we know the rules, let the speculation begin! 1. Simon Stead 10.41 2. Adam Ellis 4.55 3. Ty Proctor 6.68 4. Josh Bates 5.44 5. Jason Garrity 8.46 6. Arthur Sissis 3.71 7. Wajtknecht/Perks/Greenwood 3 42.25
-
And yet Paco outscored both Wajtknecht & Ayres in our challenge meeting against Cradley...
-
I'd say that's exactly what you need, that's if you actually want to bother proving your point...My point is are Branford and Clegg ambitious signings? You can't have it all with the points limit and Edinburgh proved it can work this season. One signing doesn't make a team, especially at reserve and if we can fill the rest of the spots with quality then we can afford to carry a rider like Paco. For me anyways if we could run with team of- 1.Kurtz 2.Bates 3.Proctor 4.Bellego/Jonas Andersen/Birks 5.Garrity 6.Sissis 7.Paco/Wajtknecht/Who'swinnin86's amazing rider who's on an average of 3.50 or less who'll win us the league - then we should do just fine.
-
Where's your suggestions then? Let's be realistic, if we're gonna run with Stead, Kurtz or Garrity we're going to have to run with weaker reserve. More than likely two 3 pointers. Edinburgh have run all season without a stellar reserve pairing and have one of their best seasons. I can't see how a pairing of Arthur & Paco is that bad of a sacrifice to strengthen the rest of the team.
-
What other 3 pointer shall we use then? Personally I'd say Paco deserves a chance at reserve next season, I think he was put in a tough position last season and didn't have the full opportunities that others had who started the season in March. Bit of a risk, but one I'd say is worth taking.

What makes you say Castagna won't be back? I'd fully expect him to be in our line up if we don't see a change in the rules.

After listening to talking tigers there's two things nailed on for next year. 1. Ash Birks is taking a year out and 2. We're more than likely to see a Premier League draft system come into place. Which does us no favours since we've got Castanga & Sissis on 3 pt averages. Very difficult to speculate on the team since we don't know the build up of the league or how it'll be set out, but I think we can say for certain that Stead and Bates will be back next season.

Would leave us 0.01 over the limit if it's a straight swap for Bellego. Off the top of my head, these are the available options below David average- James Wright Pepe Franc Rasmus Jensen Mathieu Tresarrieu Kalle Katajisto Steen Jensen -

So now we need two replacements! Gutted for both Stead & Bellego. Only person I can think of replacing Bellego for the short term is Garrity, but we'd need 0.20 from whoever comes in to replace Stead. Or we could wait till the averages change depending on whether they'd be a help or hindrance to us. -

A change in riding order for Sheffield- 1.Stead 2.Birks 3.Bellego 4.Proctor 5.Compton 6.Bates 7.Sissis Don't see the sense in putting Andre at 5 personally, but suppose we'll see how we go on. Can't see us sticking to that going into Thursday. -

Doubt that'll be a problem now. Suns out and forecast is good for the rest of the day. -
I was more in the mind of that it's less of a waste to just simply use them whilst Adam isn't. But I agree, questions need answering to why a fund has been set up to pay for a replacement pair that Palm Toft is using. What if he crashes before Adam's back? Do we then need to set up a 2nd fundraiser to replace the replacement kevlars?

Doesn't that sort of spell it out plain and simple '4.28 average' there's only one way Richard Hall is going and that's on his way down. A case of been there and done that on far too often of occasion and clearly has lost his focus on speedway. Unless we happen to lose Proctor due to the visa issues then Richard would be such a waste of points. -

I bloody well hope not! -
Because there isn't. If the rules are what they are, then Gino doesn't meet the requirement. End of.

So 6.09 to play with now. Most obvious choices are Compton (5.59) or Franc (5.67) -
Who else is out there though on that sort of average? I'd put him as one of the better options out there frankly for that reserve spot.
