  1. Another reason the sport is an absolute joke. How can a rider just leave a club with no repercussion? I get that it's in the riders interest to ride at the highest level they can with the most amount of meetings possible, but it still makes the sport look very amatuerish and doesn't help a club like IOW who are trying to build up an interest. Stuff like this doesn't help and only turns people away.
  2. Does anyone know if they film Scunthorpe's meetings?
  3. Could potentially see bellego come in? Club asset and on some cracking form. Would be a fantastic move for both club and rider.
  4. About an extra 2 points though if he does though. Could have potential to build a whopper of a side, but as others have pointed out it only matters if they can get the right rider in
  5. Could be an advantage to Berwick if Dany does miss this meeting really. With Bridger and Carr getting Significantly lower averages (well, unless they both have an absolute blinder over weekend) Gappmaier will stay on his 4 point average as he'll have only done 3h & 4a, giving Berwick a shed load of points to play with as long as they act fast. That's if I'm working it out right. Dead confusing this speedway malarky!
  6. It's all good and well you saying that, but he can't just pull money out of his arse. If he gets rid of revelation he needs new bikes, a van, mechanic, possibly even a workshop. It's not half as simple as you're making out. Unless there's some very generous backers up in Berwick then he could be stuck.
  7. Obviously long term it's the move to make, but he'll need the initial money to replace everything Revolution has, by sounds of it he'd have to essentially start from scratch. He even said in last week speedway star his comeback would be impossible without them. It'll be interesting to see what happens regardless, hopefully he'll get some help elsewhere as clearly this Revolution speedway experiment just isn't working.
  8. Question is, can he afford it? If I'm remembering rightly Lewis Kerr dropped Revolution speedway last season when he moved to Scunny and ended up borrowing Andreas Lygers machinery.
  9. If you're going off the averages flappy posted then it's wrong. Lambert can't drop below 3.
  10. Berwick's team was very much built for Shielfield. It was never going to dominate away and to lose so early on their home turf is very damaging. They need at least a change or two, it's clearly just not a good enough side.
  11. Wasn't hard to see that wolves would be suffering at reserve compared to the rest of the league's. Could go with a three man change, taking out Skornicki, Clegg and Greaves and bringing in Lasse Bjerre,Roynon/Morris and a 2 pointer.
  12. You've built a very popular side. I nearly posted the exact same team but had to go back to the drawing board certified seeing you'd posted it yourself!
  13. Dan Bewley Alfie Bowtell Jack parkinson-blackburn Ben Hopwood Danyon Hume Tom Brennan Kyle Bickley 38.99
  14. Would you have to bring some proof of marriage to get the offer? And what about gay couples with children? Would they be charged full whack?
  15. Fantastic gesture from the club for the first meeting of the season to be free. Hopefully will garner some good coverage from the press and pack out the terraces.
  16. Whilst Leicester haven't got the best team in the prem, they'd absolutely demolish any team in the Championship, especially Scunthorpe.
  17. Think a lot rides on how well Pickering does for whether Edinburgh will be successful this season. Looks a solid side to me though, good heatleaders, the best number 7 in the league and should always have a good number 6 too in either Clegg,Riss or Pickering. Should be a play off contender at least I'd say.
  18. Just seen that and completely agree. It looks great. Top marks to the IOW promotion, clearly took the crticism and done something about it, which can't be said for a lot of promotions.
  19. Looks tons better. Such a step up from last season.
  20. Looking mainly for Sheffield DVD's or pretty much any team meetings past 2000's and beyond. Drop us a pm if you've got anything to sell and I'll get back to you.
  21. Well I agree with you- merchandising wise I don't think they'll be selling much with that devil on it! But they're both bad in their own ways for me. The Plymouth logo is poor quality whereas the iow one is just confusing. Show that to anyone outside of speedway and they'd never guess they were the Warrior. But the point is it's supposed to be a sports logo for a professional speedway team. could you actually imagine a serious sporting team like Manchester United using some crap 3d rendered photo as their actual logo? They'd get laughed out of the league. It's stuff like this that really drags the sport down, it's alright to us that know and love the product, but your logo can be the first impression, and for the majority I don't think it's going to leaves good one.
  22. Wasn't exactly the point I was getting at, but at least with the storm logo it looks visually appealing, and there's not gonna be many who would make the correlation between the two unless you go snooping. Sheffield did the same taking 'inspiration' from the West Tigers in the Australian rugby league for their logo redesign.
  23. Well this seems to work fine http://www.plymouthdevils.co looks awful, but it does work I suppose.
