  1. Allen is an absolute bargain on that average. Felt like Josh needed a season away from Scunthorpe, but I suppose with it being his testimonial season he was only ever going to end up at one place.
  2. I understand not having Garrity, he is a risk, but I honestly think Sarj on a 3.20 average is absolutely worth it. Obviously had a terrible season, but I think he'll absolutely bounce back this season coming.
  3. So we've got a 42.5 limit. Wouldn't mind something along the lines of 1. Howarth 2. Campton/M Riss/kurtz 3. Bjerre 4. Bates 5. Garrity 6. Sarjeant 7. Wood
  4. Think we'll have to agree to disagree! Proctor for me is at his level, I can't see him improving on his average. Whereas Jason on pretty much the same average can easily stick a point on it if his heads in the right place.
  5. I'd rather take a chance on Garrity rather than having Proctor back.
  6. I've got it as Eagles69 the winner with a total average of 55.68.
  7. If there's one thing Auty needs it's a change of track, and I wouldn't say he should come back to Sheffield either.
  8. Anyone know if Leicester has any restrictions on days when they can/can't race?
  9. I think that's what's to be presumed. Would make sense with them waiting on Grajczonek to decide if he's riding championship next season. Think a spanner could still be thrown in the mix if the set race nights comes in for the Premiership, can't see us changing race nights from Thursday with the restrictions we have.
  10. I get the idea, but I think it'd kill off a lot of casuals and possibly even some of the die hards in the sport. But completely agree with you with regards to marketing, it's one thing the sport in a lot of clubs cases are absolutely garbage at.
  11. Let's get real. if Sheffield wanna go up they'll go up, if they wanna stay down they'll stay down. Regardless of the result of this meeting it has absolutely no final say on what we do. In reality what comes from the AGM will more than likely decide our fate. If it's going to to be fixed nights of Monday & Thursdays for the premiership then we'll more than likely go up. But daft conspiracy theories from the tinfoil hat brigade don't help, especially after the incredible season we've just had! I'm not the type to say "be lucky you've just got a team to support"- often that's just covering up for promoters short comings- but we're bloody lucky at Sheffield with what we've got and should always have in mind the way it could've gone had it not been for the Bates', Peter Mole and others behind the scenes who haven't just saved Sheffield speedway, but made it the force it once was.
  12. You lot are absolutely delusional. If it was a fix do you really think that they'd have set it up to be battered at home on telly? Really? Because that'll do some wonders for the crowd going forward. If it was a fix we'd have seen it a lot closer and then get slaughtered in the 2nd leg. But if it makes you feel better then keep the crazy conspiracy theories going! It was a pointless meeting to begin with, but hopefully we'll see a response on Thursday in a meeting that does have some meaning...
  13. Is raining pretty heavy now. Hopefully will ease off in time for it to go ahead.
  14. Good to know. Was gonna say, with an expensive team built there's absolutely no way they'd be able to carry on with crowds like that.
  15. Meeting got a lot better after the brief shower hit the track. Is that a typical crowd for the showground? Must say I was really surprised by the lack of people there.
  16. I really don't think Wood would leave Eastbourne high and dry to go and sign for Berwick. You can make a case for Bowtell, but definitely not Wood.
  17. We're way over the points limit, so we could only make like for like changes. Ain't really anyone out there to justify dropping either of em.
  18. Shame with the situation with Shanes, he'd have been the only real worthwhile signing out there and unfortunately will more than likely not be happening now. But we do need to make a signing and only riders I can think of out there really are the likes of Stoneman or possibly Knight if he'd be on a 2. Or we could look further a field at one of Spiller brother's? Although I'd imagine if either wanted to ride in the British league's they'd be over here already.
  19. Well I've worked it out at 5 for his Poole commitments. Not sure on his grasstrack though.
  20. Says in this weeks speedway star that we're looking to bring in James Shanes. Just depends on how many dates he'd miss with his Poole and grasstrack commitments.
  21. Well if you don't like it,go and get your updates from elsewhere...
