  1. Think montain will be Leicester. Look at the averages, I think the likes of Berge, Andersen and any of the up-and-coming 2 points (Flint, Brennan, Kemp, Bickley) will be big acquisitions now.
  2. Nice of Lakeside to offer £7 off the admission. I'm sure everyone will be rushing back on Wednesday...
  3. Believe me, if I could've been at any meeting tonight I'd have been at scunny! The other half is a southerner and lives near Rye House so thought I'd take the opportunity to go watch some speedway with the season ending do prematurely at Sheffield!
  4. What an absolute disgrace that was. Felt like the fans were left (literally) in the dark for far too long and then to come over the PA and announce "we're sorry, we're speedway people, not electricians" is just shoddy. Had to take an 8 year old kid home bored out of his mind for a good hour waiting around and doesn't want to go back to the speedway now. And can you blame him? Tonight was the absolute lowest I've felt about this sport in a long time and that's bloody well saying something with the amount of crap we put up with in speedway. People can shoulder the blame with Rye House and they obviously had a massive hand to play in this mess of a so called meeting. But lakeside have to as well. The lack of worthwhile communication was bad just the occasional "we're doing our best" well, it wasn't good enough. I often see the phrase any speedway is better than no speedway thrown a lot around especially on this forum, but I can safely say I'd rather have none than have to put up with the absolute dross I saw.
  5. Now then, don't knock spin King senior. He's got 3 o levels. Proper smart.
  6. What a clown. You're making an absolute baseless and frivolous accusations that riders aren't getting paid. You're clearly either 1. A troll or 2. A moron. possibly both. I'm not blind to see that something's gone wrong this season and the promotion has to shoulder some of the blame. If I'm honest, one thing I am sick of is the promotion labelling fans who have gone genuie complaints as keyboard warriors and not having the back bone to take criticism. But I sort of get it when idiots are throwing stupid accusations like this around. It's like last season when people genuinely accused the promotion of throwing the Leicester meeting. It was completely baseless and didn't make any sense whatsoever. Much like if people are seriously suggesting the riders aren't being paid, you seriously think that would be kept quiet in this day and age?
  7. Because it's an absolute load of rubbish. The promotion have always been known to pay on time and fairly. It's probably just very sad individual putting up rumours.
  8. No word of a lie. The lights came on after heat 15. Couldn't make it up...
  9. Very disappointing. Last week could be sort of excused because of the weather, obviously the track is there for both teams, but it definitely favoured Lakeside. This week we had no excuse, with the exception of Kurtz and Lawlor the entire team was massively under par. Out gated and then beaten out of the first corner. Season is now absolutely over and we're just riding for pride now to finish as high as we possibly can. I definitely can't see the promotion taking a result like that and could well see a change or 2.
  10. Yeah. Because the 3 points scored from last time we were at Newcastle were a huge loss today.
  11. That's all well and good at home, but Lasse is a massive liability away. Its still a long season to go, so to write us off already is just wrong. Anything can happen, espcially in a play off situation, if we can bring in someone who can do the job home & away then Lasse should absolutely go or there's no point in the fans showing up!
  12. Wouldn't it be case he'd be on his old championship average?
  13. Truth is, I don't think anyone actually knows. I'm sure all will be revealed when we make our changes.
  14. I reckon it is the case thst it could be another facility. Surely they wouldn't be so stupid to throw away 1.50 knowing thst Shanes would up his average. Not only that. They've mentioned several times about reintroducing josh, but only when he was back and ready, even after we'd signed Jan.
  15. At least from what I understand, its a 28 day cover for Josh. So essentially we should be able to just bring Josh back in regardless of the average change.
  16. Think we'll just be in same position as we are with Jan right now. We either need to outright replace Josh or go back to r/r. Having a reserve at 4 is really dragging us down and arguably putting more pressure on the team than we had with just going with r/r.
  17. Did newcastle forget about the tac sub rule in place this season? Wouldn't have made a bit of difference, but was odd to see it not coming into play.
  18. 1. Jack smith 2. Danyon Hume 3. Kyle bickley 4. Georgie wood 5. Drew kemp 6.jason edwards 7. Leon flint
  19. How can we modernise the sport? With a remix of 'you are my sunshine' obviously!
  20. Jan graversen Lewis Rose Justin Sedgmen.
  21. We'll take Gleb Chugonov or Kostigov on a 5 if that's the case
  22. Think it's obvious we're playing the waiting game with Howarth. But question is, who's the other rider? If Edinburgh can have Andersson on a 5.20 then maybe we can go down a similar route?
  23. Fantastic signing. Will be a great reserve in the Championship, as we saw when he guested last season. Sad to see Georgie go, but wouldn't have wanted to go with both Smith & Wood. With Shanes I think we've got someone who can easily put on a point or two on his average.
