Good luck to the lad. Hopefully he'll be better prepared for the championship this season.
-
It's in this week's speedway star.
-
Does Fit but I think just from last season with Jan we learned the importance of having a really strong reserve. Would be way too much pressure on Georgie.
-
More just of an "I wish" situation. I think you've actually got it spot on with the team you posted.
-
1. Howarth 2. Bewley 3. Wright 4. Bates 5. Bjerre 6. Shanes 7. 2 pointer- jpb, Bickley, Brennan

Nathan Greaves? In the main body of a Sheffield team? No thanks!
-
Bloody hell! £50!? I'll sell Spin King senior copy for the low price of £45! 😂
-
Cracking season for him. But still didn't look particularly comfortable round Owlerton on his visits. There's far better options than Nathan out there imo.

I was on about the 2 pt average situation. I've seen its mentioned in a few threads, but can't see any actual evidence of where the 2 pt limit has been scrapped. -

Where's this been said? Can't see anything about it on the bspa site. -
Shame about Lasse. Was really hoping we'd be able to keep the pairing with him & bates at 3&4 going.

Would come in at 42.45. -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2018

Allen is an absolute bargain on that average. Felt like Josh needed a season away from Scunthorpe, but I suppose with it being his testimonial season he was only ever going to end up at one place. -
I understand not having Garrity, he is a risk, but I honestly think Sarj on a 3.20 average is absolutely worth it. Obviously had a terrible season, but I think he'll absolutely bounce back this season coming.
-
So we've got a 42.5 limit. Wouldn't mind something along the lines of 1. Howarth 2. Campton/M Riss/kurtz 3. Bjerre 4. Bates 5. Garrity 6. Sarjeant 7. Wood

Think we'll have to agree to disagree! Proctor for me is at his level, I can't see him improving on his average. Whereas Jason on pretty much the same average can easily stick a point on it if his heads in the right place.
-
I'd rather take a chance on Garrity rather than having Proctor back.

I've got it as Eagles69 the winner with a total average of 55.68. -
If there's one thing Auty needs it's a change of track, and I wouldn't say he should come back to Sheffield either.

Leicester Lions 2018

Anyone know if Leicester has any restrictions on days when they can/can't race? -
I think that's what's to be presumed. Would make sense with them waiting on Grajczonek to decide if he's riding championship next season. Think a spanner could still be thrown in the mix if the set race nights comes in for the Premiership, can't see us changing race nights from Thursday with the restrictions we have.
-
I get the idea, but I think it'd kill off a lot of casuals and possibly even some of the die hards in the sport. But completely agree with you with regards to marketing, it's one thing the sport in a lot of clubs cases are absolutely garbage at.

Let's get real. if Sheffield wanna go up they'll go up, if they wanna stay down they'll stay down. Regardless of the result of this meeting it has absolutely no final say on what we do. In reality what comes from the AGM will more than likely decide our fate. If it's going to to be fixed nights of Monday & Thursdays for the premiership then we'll more than likely go up. But daft conspiracy theories from the tinfoil hat brigade don't help, especially after the incredible season we've just had! I'm not the type to say "be lucky you've just got a team to support"- often that's just covering up for promoters short comings- but we're bloody lucky at Sheffield with what we've got and should always have in mind the way it could've gone had it not been for the Bates', Peter Mole and others behind the scenes who haven't just saved Sheffield speedway, but made it the force it once was.
-
You lot are absolutely delusional. If it was a fix do you really think that they'd have set it up to be battered at home on telly? Really? Because that'll do some wonders for the crowd going forward. If it was a fix we'd have seen it a lot closer and then get slaughtered in the 2nd leg. But if it makes you feel better then keep the crazy conspiracy theories going! It was a pointless meeting to begin with, but hopefully we'll see a response on Thursday in a meeting that does have some meaning...
