  1. Great meeting , and congrats to Holder . I thought the crowd was way down on previous years , and the top tier on start/finish line was nearly empty from where i was seated on the third bend .
  2. Agreed. Here comes another dozen or so pages of gloating , real speedway fans ? As for the crap about him never being in control , never heard such crap in my life , he's one of the most talented riders out there . No-one likes seeing any rider get hurt , so those that wanna post bile carry on so we can all laugh at your sad attitude . Rant over .
  3. She could if she asked me nicely.............
  4. Anyone know what the weather is gonna like for tonight ?
  5. I really dunno why they ever bother having a rider/ref hotline , ever seen a ref change his/her mind when a rider challenges a decision ??
  6. Best u change your sig then . If i was French , i'd consider it racist , as you proved above
  7. You really have a chip on your shoulder . Whats racist about critising a ref who in many peoples eyes made a decision that favoured his fellow countryman ?
  8. If the move is pulled off with no contact , yes , But surely u dont think AJ bailed out on purpose ? The Sky rear veiw replay showed AJ having his leg taken away . Some u win , some u lose . Gollob got lucky IMHO
  9. Well of course AJ turned left , thats what most riders do when entering a corner , unless they either have (a) a death wish ( a desire to check out the air fence © maybe both Gollob made a dash like he always has done , and yes he was slightly in front , but carrying that speed he definately took AJ's leg from under him . The replays were conclusive. It was no dying swan act . It was blatant patriotism from the ref .
  10. Farcical , blatant cheating from the ref IMO . what part of AJ's leg didnt the ref see getting took away from him ? How many more times must they put up with his crap , biased decisions ?
  11. I quite agree . Daft though seeing Mroczka getting nothing from the same occurence last monday . Makes the sport look silly tho , petty difference in rules
  12. Hence why Ole Olsen never had any dirt down when he was in charge .
  13. Didnt Zorro win the Swedish title in the rain a couple of years ago ? Not sure which track tho .
  14. True , but its the bigger picture that pees me off . Look at the great riders from the states that we've had the privilege of watching over the years , and who do they have now ? Just Hancock at the highest level , and no-one else from the states anywhere near his level . Unless the authorities over here let US riders come over here on realistic averages , US speedway is dead . Sorry for airing my grievances on this thread , couldnt be arsed to start a new one .
  15. Will anybody be streaming these ? Am sure many here would be grateful for any links etc ?
  16. While there's no excuse for what he did , how come he gets a custodial , and that tosser Pete Doherty , who gets nicked every other week for drugs offences still retains his liberty ? Is it ok coz its rock 'n' roll ? Stinks like the bog door of a kipper trawler to me.
  17. Thanks for the pic Jim.I had the pleasure of watching Vaclav every week at Exeter during his career in the UK , and the man was fearless, not the best gater but brave as they come when behind, and he did use the fence to his advantage very often. The Green machine was the only rider who could challenge Vaclav as the best passer at the County Ground, and both more than worth the admission fee.
  18. Great footage, and have to say it looked a REAL racing track. How we could do with more tracks like that these days.
  19. The 'man in blue' enjoyed a good spell at Exeter later in his career , and believe me his enthusiasm was still very evident , not the best gater , but fearless when behind.A great servant to the sport.
  20. Me too. Needed Greg to score more than NP for a decent wedge , gotta blame Harris for letting NP pass him their last race
  21. I think this needs some closure. It doesnt matter what you , me , or anyone else thinks. He qualified, with the likes of Lindgren , Bomber, et al in the field. How he prepares for next season due to the GP's is up to him , and no doubt he will do things the best way he sees fit.How would you like to be told in your job that you are too old , even though you have just seen off all the competitors ? Do you see what i'm getting at ? Give the man a break. At the end of next season , it might well be proven that he wasnt up to it.But , he qualified , whilst other riders with 'more ability/younger' didnt. You cant win the raffle if you dont buy a ticket, he did and good luck to him.
