There's a huge difference between a stadium and derelict industrial land. 1 they will probably have other plans for it 2 if they were prepared to entertain the idea they'd want full commercial rates (see Perry Barr offer to Tolley to rent the whole stadium once the dogs were going) 3 there's no guarantee of the speedway being able to obtain planning consent which could tie the site up for many months with no guarantee of success

My money is on Leicester

I suppose the salient question is does Sheffield Speedway in its current state stand on its own two feet

Are there any more Tolley's out there? Guess we will find out soon enough

Presumably until they can get costs under control they won't be sanctioning anything that will potentially cost money. Not very exciting but it might save the series in the long term
