  1. Who would be waving this cash plus a new air fence and whatever other works would be needed?
  2. Chances of land owners changing their minds are few and far between Every Oxford is seriously outnumbered by those that don't Fair play to the Save Panthers group though for a great effort and whilst the site is undeveloped (as with Brandon, Monmore, Newcastle) hope however small remains
  3. The venue I'd heard mentioned would require some serious upgrades in respect of the safety equipment. i wasn't referring to Buxton
  4. I've not heard Buxton mentioned. The one in question would certainly need some serious upgrades if there was any chance which I'm guessing there isn't
  5. The licence is protected for 3 years after closure in normal circumstances After that anyone can apply
  6. Or possibly a track currently operating at a lower level? Big infrastructure costs though whichever way you turn
  7. If they can't get a PL off the ground and 1 league is out of the question they'll have to try and run challenge/individuals to keep things going As said upthread taking a year out might not be an option for the landlords bar Kings Lynn
  8. A former promoter making a return to the sport?
  9. Perhaps he's delayed it as a deal is close to being concluded.... Fingers crossed if so
  10. Quote from Jamie Swales in the Star The AGM hold up is to do with the Premiership the championship will go ahead as planned If it is decided that there will be one league then effectively the Premiership will come to us
  11. Louis has failed to enter in to the spirit though and people are backing his right to do that. Why shouldn't the championship teams do what suits them?
  12. Maybe the current championship teams will resist that and if necessary form their own league under a different authority if required?
  13. Not a chance CVS would be interested. You could try Peter Adams but I'd be surprised if he were interested
  14. Like who? Maybe if the BSPL agreed to underwrite the stadium costs in the event of a default
  15. Or maybe a former promoting colleague of Busty's.....
  16. Then eventually the whole thing will go broke so the choices are Overpay and go broke Pay what you can afford and reset the whole sport on a semi professional basis if that what it takes. It might not work but it's much better than going skint
  17. If admission prices turn out to be too high payments to riders will have to reduce wether they like it or not
  18. As the current custodian of a famous sports club he certainly owes the fans of Ipswich an explanation however I'm guessing that he feels the next step is that there should be some sort of statement from the BSPL regarding 26 which I understand. Hopefully after that he'll give his reasons to the Witches fans
  19. The thing is its a sports club not just a business, there are thousands of fans in Ipswich so he owes them some sort of explanation at some point
