  1. I would expect if the Ipswich sale doesn't go through then a BSPL "lease" arrangement for a season will be attempted to ensure 5 teams
  2. I would expect if the Ipswich sale doesn't go through then a BSPL "lease" arrangement for a season will be attempted to ensure 5 teams
  3. I saw him say last year he was keen to get back in and it won't be with Wolves anytime soon if ever so this might be his chance
  4. Also Adams is an experienced administrator as well as a Team Manager and that might be useful to Ipswich this season He's not the best TM around anymore but I think he'd be ok short term
  5. I have heard a rumour that a team manager will be returning to the sport after a few seasons away if the Witches take over goes through
  6. If you look at an aerial shot of MG you wouldn't know there was ever a track there as the grass has grown. I presume you'd start from scratch with a new base, top layer then all of the fence posts etc. Part of the starting area was concreted over to make a presentation area for the dogs. No idea about the electrics The good thing is that the pits are still there. Significant investment required but certainly capable of being done
  7. He has the lease though and still does despite closing the greyhounds. Let's hope when something happens as it inevitably will the Council do the right thing by the Pirates but I'm not holding my breath
  8. To me at the absolute outside you might try and get an Iwade type set up but anything more might be a stretch. I know a few people have enquired over the years but nothing has ever come of it. No idea who owns it but I don't think its any of the stock car companies that are well known
  9. I live nearby. Its basically a dirt track in a field, theres no room for a separate track so would need to be shared with the cars. I'd say it wouldn't be impossible but it would need huge investment. Northampton is miles better
  10. I'd say 90k is much less than it would cost to put the required infrastructure in to Northampton but if it's neither then its a moot point
  11. Mildenhall is similar plus they would at least benefit from local derbies with Lynn and hopefully Ipswich
  12. So there can't be a 6th team then as they've missed the declaration?
  13. Binding declarations aren't made until the AGM....usually
  14. He certainly owes me nothing as I don't support Ipswich A sports club is not a normal business, if you think it can be closed down without explanation then fair enough Imagine if that were Ipswich Town for example
  15. He is the not just the owner of the company but the custodian of a sports club with thousands of fans. He owes them an explanation at some point but presumably he'll wait and see how the various possibilities pan out before he does that which is fair enough
  16. This weeks Speedway Star suggests that Doyle is restricted to the Polish league and 2 other leagues in 2026 (Polish league and 1 other league in 2027) Hasn't he already signed in Sweden and Denmark?
  17. Yes Wolves and Peterborough next Protection normally is for 3 years
  18. Leicester have just confirmed Fricke has left
  19. It doesn't have to be the stadium he just doesn't run the Witches. The BSPL won't deal with anyone else unless Louis authorises it
  20. If he closes then the rights are still protected for 3 years after closure so essentially you have to deal with Louis and can't swerve it
  21. I'm amazed that anyone is prepared to pay anything. He would be lucky if someone leases it for a season. I'd snap their hands off unless he knows something we don't
  22. I live locally to RH. If anything has been said I've not seen it. Either the owners will have to willingly reinstate the track or the Lea Valley Park will have to force them. I'd say Mildenhall is the most likely if its not Northampton
  23. I'd imagine much will depend on what security of tenure the Witches have at Foxhall and how any buyer perceives the future of speedway The fact that Ipswich may be able to show historical figures that are positive doesn't mean the future ones will be I certainly wouldn't be punting 200k at this time or indeed anything substantial
