Sheffield v Wolves 24/07
noaksey replied to Tommy Sweetman's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Perhaps he's gone to see Uncle Matt for the weekend... -
Who would be the promoters of Cradley I wonder?
-
Presumably there'll be no statements on the future of Monmore until they get planning for Dunstall
-
I'd expect Wolves Council to be very supportive but if that would extend to financial contributions in this climate I'd be very surprised. As someone else mentioned a couple of the sites rumoured aren may not be in Wolverhampton BC anyway
-
Speedway isn't 1 day a week now either more like every other week unless a NL side is run as well
-
I seem to remember he was on the verge of packing it in before, possibly due to the covid situation. He's certainly earned his retirement if he does stop this time
-
Nothing lasts forever Parry has been fantastic for us, even if the coach business carries on in some form there's no guarantee that they would continue the sponsorship all supposing there's a team to sponsor
-
moved to London in the 80's went to Hackney and Wimbledon regularly Moved to Hertfordshire went to Arena regularly and Rye House occasionally Loved going to Exeter My inlaws are 20 mins from Armadale, my "local" track is Peterborough and I'm a Wolves fan.....
-
House!

If you need/want a new team manager Rosco is your man
-
Thursday night is top prize at the Bingo
-
It's certainly possible that the section 106 agreement could include a payment to help relocate the existing facility but it's pretty unlikely if the developers of the showground resist, then the local authority really are prepared to dig in to try and preserve the speedway
-
Hope you have more luck with this than your Barker to Wolves itk....
-
So he's left because Buster is asking too much money? That presumably has been the case all season so what's happened now?
-
How long is the domestic TV contract?
-
I agree, it's hard to see past an aggregate defeat to any of the other potential semi finalists but we live in hope
-
It's Eurosport though not British Speedway, presumably the viewing figures and/or the financial climate have prompted a review of their coverage and it appears this season it's being very much done to a budget. On the basis that any TV income is better than no TV income I doubt the BSPL would get the gloves on about this even if they were bothered about it
-
Belle Vue would pick Wolves on current form I reckon
-
Thanks that's much appreciated 3pm
-
Keep us posted please. I'm travelling long distance but won't risk it if there's a likelihood it'll be off
-
This is correct, as far as I remember it's owned by Ipswich Speedway Limited which is nothing to do with the Witches.
-
The latter is an interesting point, other than insolvency has a licence ever been cancelled?
-
And there's no regulation that stipulates reasonable prices in the event of a sale (the original question) so I've no idea what relevance your point is of course any buyer needs to conform to the league rules
-
Its a private business same as any sports team he can ask whatever he wants
-
Presumably Tomalin would have to pay him the 40k first, he isn't going to leave his 40k there on the basis that any new promoter gets through the rest of the season without incurring debts (presuming there are none currently)
