It's pretty basic, not enough room for a separate track so would need to be shared with the cars I'd say it's worth an enquiry especially if the Rye House revival doesn't happen

Wolves Speedway potential new stadium???

As the guy stepping down wasn't in charge when the original decision was made I wonder if we asked him -
"What about the meuller, the wonga....?" 🤣

Eurosport, terrible professionalism.

Anyone know when the domestic speedway tv contract is up or has a break clause? -
Not the news that anyone wanted then
-
Let's hope whoever this steering committee consists of they've got enough finance or sponsorship lined up to underwrite the costs of running a team Wishing them every success

I think a premier league Wolves team running at Perry Barr on alternate Mondays with the Brummies would lose a significant amount and wouldn't do Birmingham any favours either -

If they were going to look at running elsewhere then presumably they'd have tried to get that off the ground in 2024. It's probably a sure fire way of losing money so I can understand why they haven't Finding land, getting permission, partners and finance for a multi purpose motor sport site then building it and running it must be the outside of all outside chances Whilst Monmore is still there and most of the track intact it remains the best chance of something happening in my view however slight that chance might be -
Cardiff GP 2025 Cancelled

Not a word about the thousands who have booked hotel rooms/travel etc If there was any doubt about the viability of the event why announce the date? Shambolic -
Even if it survives a council meeting what will happen if it gets appealed to the planning inspectorate?

There's a fair bit if derelict industrial land around Wolverhampton but it'll all be privately owned. South Staffs has never had a speedway track and I'd be amazed if their planners would be in favour of one but you never know. The required highway works for the site in question add another huge complication. I'd imagine the promotion will issue an update presumably between now and the start of the 2025 season but it's unlikely to say much of note -
Interesting re Musielak, I wonder who Oxford might go for
-
The top 3 look nailed on barring disasters It'll be a good scrap between Leicester, Lynn and Oxford for 4th, any one of them could get it but if Oxford do get Musielak it should be them
-
By a miniscule amount starting from a low base, Tolley also admitted that signing Freddie didn't particularly result in increased crowds He doesn't need ex Wolves riders and staff just good riders and staff
-
They had several ex Wolves last year, made virtually zero difference to attendances sadly and this wouldn't either
-
Be a good scrap for 4th between Leicester, Oxford and Lynn I reckon
-
Agree with all that but we are where we are, do they try and preserve what is there now or do we just accept the natural order and work out what to do when 5 teams are left? Tricky
-
The problem with the football analogy is that those teams will never run out of opposition to play, that's a real possibility for speedways premier league. Leave Birmingham and Lynn if you like to it but don't complain when there are only 5 teams left
-
Indeed, the other option is effectively rider control but nobody bar the bottom 2 clubs possibly would ever vote for that. When the likes of Birmingham do finally pack it and the top clubs have nobody to race but themselves they can't say they weren't warned

Who is worse?

Many are selling assets (East Herts my local council being one) few if any are buying them but there's always a chance
-
In what context is a section 21 notice relevant here?
-
I'd be surprised in this financial climate if the Council has the money to buy anything unless there's some possibility of today's equivalent of council housing being built on it
