  1. Then the club won't have any complaints when people don't bother
  2. No guest facility for a rider who hasn't ridden for you
  3. If Birmingham are banking on decent crowds they'll need to find some parking from somewhere otherwise people won't bother Perhaps another discussion with the One Stop Centre?
  4. When I looked at it a BSN season pass equated to approx £30 per month if you count the season as 8 months. At the time TNT were asking around the same monthly cost. Obviously you get lots of speedway with BSN but other sports with TNT. I certainly wouldn't be paying £60 per month for both although it does appear that some have been successful at getting cheap deals for TNT
  5. But at a similar monthly cost to the TNT deal* so not ideal for those who can't or won't pay that sort of money each month. *You do of course get more meetings with BSN
  6. That would be a tough ask I guess, sponsors are hard to find at the best of times and this seems like a significant amount for this level of speedway. We can only wish them well
  7. Borrowing a significant amount of money from an external source doesn't seem to be a good fit with the fan ownership model Presumably "the fans" would then be responsible for paying back the loan regardless of what happens
  8. Risk capital partners own the stadium
  9. Thanks, is the barrier taken down after each meeting?
  10. New air barrier and extensive padding for the RSJ's and concrete wall sounds like an incredibly expensive but necessary requirement. I note the reference to a foam barrier at Lynn, is that the actual air fence or the protection underneath it?
  11. It's pretty basic, not enough room for a separate track so would need to be shared with the cars I'd say it's worth an enquiry especially if the Rye House revival doesn't happen
  12. As the guy stepping down wasn't in charge when the original decision was made I wonder if we asked him
  13. "What about the meuller, the wonga....?" 🤣
  14. Indeed but many people presuming it'll be on TNT, might be another shock coming with no domestic speedway on TV.
  15. See the post from Flagrag over in the News Section No decision yet on where the domestic speedway coverage will appear
  16. Anyone know when the domestic speedway tv contract is up or has a break clause?
  17. Let's hope whoever this steering committee consists of they've got enough finance or sponsorship lined up to underwrite the costs of running a team Wishing them every success
  18. I think a premier league Wolves team running at Perry Barr on alternate Mondays with the Brummies would lose a significant amount and wouldn't do Birmingham any favours either
  19. If they were going to look at running elsewhere then presumably they'd have tried to get that off the ground in 2024. It's probably a sure fire way of losing money so I can understand why they haven't Finding land, getting permission, partners and finance for a multi purpose motor sport site then building it and running it must be the outside of all outside chances Whilst Monmore is still there and most of the track intact it remains the best chance of something happening in my view however slight that chance might be
  20. Not a word about the thousands who have booked hotel rooms/travel etc If there was any doubt about the viability of the event why announce the date? Shambolic
  21. Even if it survives a council meeting what will happen if it gets appealed to the planning inspectorate?
  22. There's a fair bit if derelict industrial land around Wolverhampton but it'll all be privately owned. South Staffs has never had a speedway track and I'd be amazed if their planners would be in favour of one but you never know. The required highway works for the site in question add another huge complication. I'd imagine the promotion will issue an update presumably between now and the start of the 2025 season but it's unlikely to say much of note
