Will always remember Bjerre's move against Sayfutdinov (Coventry) in heat 15 at Lynn, was some awesome racing! He was crazy good at home that year!
-
How much I would love to have Nicki in the team... sadly just can't see it happening, too many commitments!
-
So are most of us expecting the team of Iversen, Schlein, K. Bjerre, Porsing and R. Lambert to be announced tomorrow?

Elite League Draft Riders
justspeedway replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I honestly don't know what the process is though when you have an english relative and what this entitles you too, it has been a loophole in the PL for a while now when Aussies with a close english relative can come in on a lower average, and it looks at present that this ruling hasn't been changed.. In regards to the draft I thought (could be wrong) that at some stage the riders on the draft must have been in the NL and he obviously wouldn't have been. I should imagine he will have a contract somewhere abroad again also. -
Elite League Draft Riders
justspeedway replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well he has won Aussie titles already! tbh I can't see how they can successfully get him into the draft list what so ever… more chance of him doing a Lambert and getting named in a 1-5, just my opinion. Even if a miracle happened and he was on the list would he be happy on that points money? unless of course he is given a "deal" -

Todd came in on a 3 and also had a small stint in the NL when he first came over, yes they are brothers and have an English grandparent I believe. -
Personally can't see it happening, you never know but would be surprised to see Doyley at Lynn! I do think KL would be crazy not to have Rory in the team and hopefully Mads and Niels to join him
-
Honestly don't have a clue how Rose was announced at the beginning of the draft, as at that time was an unprotected second round pick? But boy am I happy he is! To get both Lewis's in the team is brilliant news! edit to add a mock up team how about: N.K. Iversen, R. Schlein, M. Korneliussen, P. Ljung and R. Lambert = 31.53 I would like to see Kozza and Porsing back but just thought I would make a team with a different direction with trying to put Ljung in the team.

Unfortunately I take it, it's because none are in the 1st ten. But yes as I say if an EL team has young assets then they should be able to have first choice of all of them not just one or even none in your case being protected.

Because only assets in the first round of picks can be protected, he is in the second round. -

They are all on the same deal -
Yup totally agree, as my previous point already said should be fair to all EL team who have young assets but instead it looks like only one asset per EL team is protected. Any way it is what it is nothing can be done about it I personally don't hate the idea, yes I reckon it will weaken the league but I think its after about 2 or 3 years when we should be noticing a bigger difference as riders are developing well. I hope they try and make a big thing of the draft though I am sure we will simply only see a press release the day after, something like streaming it online with someone dread I say it like Pearson making a show of it would be fantastic but I should imagine the fast track draft lacks the finances and resources to make it any thing more than a group of people in a office pointing at paper shouting out names.
-
Gutted if the Swindon Advertiser is actually right and we only have one protected pick, Busters hard work of having a NL team only equals one pick I think is unfair! Any EL team who have a NL team should have first choice of any of their riders/assets in my opinion.
-
Who else has a feeling that we won't hear too much about confirmed riders until we have found out for sure if there will be a TV deal or not?
-
Hope so I get very impatient especially with other teams naming riders. In Buster and Rob we trust, hopefully fans forum soon!
-
Personally think you are going to be close, though KL management do like to add in a surprise every so often. If not Stead (he is on a very good average) then maybe O. Allen or R. Wells. Very much hope to see L. Kerr and R. Lambert as our reserves (L. Rose wouldn't be bad if not). Be awesome to keep Niels, Mads, Rory and Nicklas sadly think Ritchie will go to the Aces plus he wouldn't fit in with that 4 mentioned. Exciting times! lets hope we hear some news from the club soon.

King's Lynn Stars 2013
justspeedway replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Very happy with the new team, shame no Wolbert plus would liked to have seen fisher, but we have got some potential blinders there on very gd averages, Schlein, Stead and Klidnt on them averages... Bargain (hopefully) Can't wait for the season to begin! Well done promotion! -

Slight tweak to have Matuesz at reserve (should make us stronger at reserve) 1. N-K. Iversen 8.84 2. K. Wolbert 5.4 3. M. Kornelluissen 6.7 4. T. Proctor 5.53 5. R. Schlein 7.33 6. K. Smith 3.73 7. M. Szczepaniak 4.93 Total = 42.46 -

A team I have quickly put together 1. N-K. Iversen 8.84 2. K. Wolbert 5.4 3. M. Kornelluissen 6.7 4. E. Kennett 6.25 5. C. Harris 7.91 6. K. Smith 3.73 7. A. Birks 3 (take it he would be a 3) Total 41.83 - There is still a bit left over to use so could change reserves etc to make it stronger,as they are potentially quite weak pairing. Wouldn't mind seeing Szczepaniak or Fisher (boo!) in the team somewhere. Edit: could swap Kennett with Barker or Fisher -
King's Lynn Stars 2013
justspeedway replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fair enough disagree with my team I have no problem with that - I used some Stars assets and riders the promotion like and who will probably not be in demand as much as some of the others so we have a chance to sign them, but at least be realistic when you post your own team, your team came to 47.37 (I take it you mean Kenneth Hansen? as I used his 2009 average from Peterborough). Okie dokie - I just went with a team I think we could afford and riders we could get hold of. Don't forget we had a racer in Mads, yet he didn't exactly light up the track with overtaking this season, like last year did he? in fact he was poor at home this season, yes I would prefer to see someone like Harris at Lynn with fantastic overtaking and yes riders like it at Lynn but because we won't pay as much as others it just isn't going to happen with a top end team. I think this season we have missed someone like Olly in the middle order who can gate and go and who will generally get you around 7-8pts or so at home, we have had the very inconsistent three of Magic, Mads and Dan and we just didn't have a clue what they were going to score. Considering Buster has already said Szczepaniak is an asset (rare for Lynn) and they have a view to use him in the future, hence I added him in the team. Yes I could go with a fantasy team with Harris, Woffinden and Niels as our 3 heat leaders and try and fit some lower riders in but I'm just trying to stay realistic. In my eyes if you want a decent 2nd heat leader like Schlein, Harris or Nicholls then sadly Mads has to go. -
King's Lynn Stars 2013
justspeedway replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A team I think we could afford: 1. N.K. Iversen 8.79 2. M. Szczepaniak 5.19 3. R. Fisher 6.02 (what average would he come in on, if PL -% he would be around 5.5?) 4. O. Allen 5.77 5. R. Schlein 7.23 6. K. Wolbert 5.03 7. L. Eklof 3.00 Total 41.03 A team I think would be strong at home in my eyes. Hopefully somethings would change so the team would fit, if the Fish's average dropped you could bring Nermark back in place of Matuesz but with O.Allen, R. Fisher and D. Nermark in the same team it wouldn't be too long until someone is seriously injured! I think I would rather give the Pole another go to be honest Daniel just is too crazy, I would have liked to see Kozza back in a D/UP to be honest but you can only do what the numbers let you. -

Ipswich 2012
justspeedway replied to cowboy cookie returns?'s topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Jonathan has said before that things are going well, and even if ticket sales were down a bit Lynn would still be ok. There is a good crowd at Lynn (not on sky though we easily missing at least 1/3 of crowd when they show up!), seriously though it the best crowd we have had in a few years now and they know the PL got stale and the fans got bored, this year has been incredible for us with the EL boys you get some cracking racing and awesome skills - on our track anyway ;-) . The Chapmans are very good business men, like for instance using riders based in the UK they are saving themselves a fortune on air travel etc, I could well be wrong but I think our stay in the EL will be a little bit longer yet... only thing that will change that will be if very very stupid ideas are passed at the AGM in regards to the EL. The Chapmans will do whatever is best for the club and I respect that and will always follow the Stars! Regarding more assets lets see if anything happens after the Pride of the East but mainly there probably will be activity during the silly season. Anywwwo I'll leave it there after all this is a Witches thread. -
