  1. Big thankyou to Fricke and Lawson for their efforts last night. Was Peter York on the centre green as the presenter kept calling him William Lawson!! Apart from a couple of races between Perry and Garrity in hts 2 and 12 the racing was so poor. After 3 defeats including the embarrasment of losing at Birmingham, we are back in the title race for 3rd place!!!! Being realistic, we are and will be too inconsistent this season and wont reach the play-offs - with Belle Vue and Lakeside my tips to be the semi final fodder for Poole and Kings Lynn. Still with less than 3 seasons left, any away win will be enjoyable.
  2. Got to be doubts about the track after the stocks last week. No Howarth and Garrity far from fit. Easy 10+pt win for KL
  3. Bet he wont have too, as reading the stadiums statement there wont be any more speedway meetings to call off. Very sad state of affairs and hard to take in as my club crumbles into oblivion.
  4. I always thought with a draw the away team got 2 points. Do we know why that has changed according to 15.13?
  5. Maybe Mallory Park!!! Has just been taken over by Stuart Hicken and Eddie Roberts from Real Motorsports and are Speedway fans. Looking to make full use of the 300 acre estate. They actually reopen next Saturday March 1st where there will be displays of classic F1 and rally cars, vintage racing backs and speedway machines. Present on the day will be Tom Sykes - world superbike champion and Tai Woffinden.
  6. Was watching Sunday Brunch this morning and before an Ad break they played a video of a new song from You me at six called Fresh Start Fever. The video story seemed to focus around speedway and the action footage looked like it was filmed from a very wet Rye House. Do we know who the riders were??
  7. The only reason he put nearly a point on his average was being able to increase his home average to 8.41 His away average was only 5.41, which is very poor considering he averaged 5.96 with Swindon in his first season
  8. Why should it surprise or bother you so much where Workington get the money from. I would be far more concerned, that a rider we are being told is a nailed on certainty for your 2014 team and dating your team managers daughter, has told Ford to swivel. IF we do get fined, it is so worth it.
  9. 1. Ward 9.07 2. Grajczonek 4.48 3. Morris 5.90 4. Howarth 4.28 5. Kildemand 8.25 Total 31.98
  10. Have to agree with Shovlar. Not a good GP with only 3 or 4 decent races. Poor commentary and poor camera work throughout. Hampel makes one of the meetings rare passes over Emil and nobody even saw it. And as for them harping on that Emil could affect the semis when he only had 4pts. Even when they were lining up for heat 19, they kept going on about Emil...and he wasnt even in the race. So glad I recorded it.
  11. even the dancing horses at the olympics were more entertaining than any part of that meeting
  12. Makes a complete farce for those who bet on those 2 heats where both Aussies and both Danes cheated people out of their money
  13. And in 2 heats you see why this sport is a complete joke
  14. Just think of how many riders turned down a wild card spot before Llung because money and politics is more important to them.
  15. Just like to say a big thankyou to both sets of supporters for helping to raise 358 pounds towards the Troop Aid charity this evening. Also thankyou to the Birmingham management for allowing us to do the collection.
  16. According to Torun website, meeting is off and re-scheduled for Tuesday. Yet Zielona Gora site is saying they are confident meeting will go ahead despite the rain. Can anybody confirm either way? Now confirmed by both sites
  17. Current standings... Crump.......146 Emil...........120 Gollob........110 Hancock.....106 Jonsson......92 Bjerre.........85 Lindgren......82 Pedersen.....80 ................................ Holta...........77 Andersen.....70 Adams.........63 Ulamek........56 Walasek.......50 Harris..........48 GP Challenge 1. Zetterstrom 2.Holder 3.Hampel 4.Lindgren 5.Harris I can see current top 10 being retained with Holta and Andersen (currently) being given 2 of the wild cards. Also reckon Zetterstrom will possibly not take his place in the GP and with Lindgren almost there, BSI may call it as Holder, Hampel and Harris as qualified from the Challenge, therefore having to avoid giving 2 Brits a wild card. The last 2 wild cards will IMO be Woffinden...to ensure 2 Brits in the series and a toss up between Zagar and Lindback. AS we have seen over the years, a lot of who gets in is purely political and financial, otherwise they would not have 4 places available to whoever BSI want in the GPs.
  18. Odds on we will come 3rd anyway at Peterboro and from what Bridger hinted, Richardson will be at the race-off probably in place of King.
  19. Agree with those who say the Nicholls/Sajfutdnov incident was nothing more than some adrenalin over flowing in the heat of the moment. As for Ashley Holloway...takes a cheap shot at Nicholls and kept on running, 2 words....GUTLESS COWARD
  20. Good meeting with some decent races on a track that held up very well for a change. Some dubious ref decisions and handbags between Nicholls and Softnuts. Fair old scuffle with some p@ssed up Poles and some English fans on the upper tier. Some entertainment from some Glasgow fans trying to dance to Bay City Rollers after one or two bevvies over their limit. jason Crump never looked like he would lose it tonight. Laughing so hard at Lindgren falling off the back of his bike pulling a celebration wheelie after the final. Harris and Nicholls riding so much better. And all for £17.50....thanks Eddie
  21. Sorry for doing this so late. Pedersen 60k captain Andersen 45k Lindgren 30k Bjerre 30k Safutdinov 25k
