Well the last couple of years we've went with largely unknown 3 pointers.... Maybe we'll pull another rabbit out the hat this time
-
Me personally wouldn't mind seeing Richard Lawson as our number 1, I know he's not everyone's cup of tea though

When Is A Rider Considered Too Good?
diamond_ren replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If it's good enough for Sweden. . . . -
1) R Lawson 8.28 2) M Campton 4.69 3) K Howarth 6.86 4) L Bjerre 7.44 5) R Bach 7.85 6) S Lambert 3.00 7) A Compton 4.36 42.48

I think Lindgren's more frustrating than anything else, you seem him some weeks at brough and he's flying and he looks unbeatable the next he struggles to beat opposing reserves or takes 1/2 rides to get his setup working properly or whatever.
-
customer relations is absolute zero - That just about sums up British speedway though, the promoters don't give a monkeys about the fans
-
Yeah I see him most sundays too and wish he was riding for us lol, I think unfortunately for Rene the injury put him back a massive amount which is not surprising, such a shame really.
-
I don't know? More wishful thinking to be honest but isn't he Peterboroughs? So i'd say we have as much chance as signing him as anyone else. He does need to "come home" though lol
-
Assuming the points limit stays at 42.50 what about this. 1) R Bach 7.85 2) L Kerr 6.09 3) A Rosen 7.00 4) S Robson 7.20 5) R Wells 7.81 6) C Schramm 3.52 7) S Worrall 3.00 How good would that team be at brough? it'd be untouchable and very entertaining.
-
What about, 1) Doolan 7.51 2) Bellego 6.36 3) Smith 7.15 4) Aspgren 6.74 5) Alden 7.37 6) Carr 3.00 7) Compton 4.36 Total 42.49 Pretty strong side and guaranteed a strong reserve all season with little pressure on carr

Who Will Be Diamonds Number One?
diamond_ren replied to bri1966's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Quite a bold move from Richie to be honest as he still has a bit to learn but fair play for showing the ambition..... Hope it works out -
How do you get that average for Chris Mills? Do you either times by 60 or divide by 60? Like the EL/PL
-
About as the same chance as smolinski becoming world champ i'd think lol

Pearson Defends The Play-off... Desperate
diamond_ren replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Why not have a trophy for actual league winners ie Birmingham? And a trophy for the play off winners? Thus keeping the league winners happy, the bspa happy because the play offs attract big crowds.... Simple solution surely? -
(Happy I don't have to go to Newcastle again this season! Buck wild track - Morris) (good to know it hasn't got any better since 07 - Holder) (No different in the 90's :-) Rossiter) (it's impossible to be a nice track, ever! - Morris) (surely it's the worst track in the PL?!? - Leicester start marshall)
-
I thought we've signed him on a 2 year deal?

Ipswich 2014
diamond_ren replied to cowboy cookie returns?'s topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Er Lewis Bridger springs to mind lol -
Same here him and Schramm at reserve would get you points all day without using up to many points for team building
-
Steve Worrall is finishing the season flying got to be worth a shout for next season on a 3.00 looks a bargain too.
-
Yep where was Dyer? Bet he rides for Poole tomorrow night Can't say Lemon was much better to be fair sadly looks like he is on the way down now. Pretty forceful ride from Lemon in heat 11 (I think) left Schramm nowhere to go. Ostergaard and Summers apart Redcar were dreadful and the less said about Kus the better

Why? It was embarassing to be honest! For Andrew Tully to fall off end up half a lap behind Compton then to get up back on his bike and pass Compton again was truly embarassing. How long has Compton been using speedway as a hobby now? He's never improved.... Got worse if anything and he was tailed off by miles in all of his rides. Congratulations to Newcastle, although unfortunately the meeting became a non contest when Lanham & Barker had to withdraw hope they are both ok. Why? It was embarassing to be honest!
