Bye bye Ullevi & the Olympic stadion
Sulli replied to f-s-p's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hopefully Avesta then Ryan can win it again -
Because the Spanish have no idea about speedway. Well, the ones I stayed with didn't anyway. It was interesting trying to explain it to them though, especially as my Spanish is very limited

We've hit the agree to disagree tedious stage now so it's a case of let's see who's the blinkered fool? Only time will tell <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For once I agree with you, only time will tell. So until that time, I'll say good luck and I'll see you on the finish line

I have complete faith in JC (that's not our Lord but pretty close) given a clear run but there's always e/f, dropped chains, tapes, a Mick Bates/Tony Steele type ref's performance, and not forgetting the smooth controlled riding of the likes of Pedersen & Andersen etc to consider, so a note of caution is sensible. Lukas have an amazing one Good one! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You forget knocking people off and getting excluded and ultimately eliminated just thought I'd remind you of that one. Lukas has the ability to do well, he just lacks confidence.

The praying has worked for the past three years so why shouldn't it work now? As you have wrote hopefully, am I to assume you don't have complete faith that Crump will be No1 this year? I want Crump to do well so I can win my bets, and solely for that reason. Either that or Crump to have a bad GP and Ryan, Lee and Lukas to have an amazing one then I'll win for sure!
-
If the past three years are anything to go by then Crump, once again, will wear the number 2 on his back next year
-
Yea but he isn't world champ yet, there's still time for him to cock up. He may be taking a beating this year but he'll come back bigger and stronger next year, just you wait and see
-
Please enlighten us, who would this be!?
-
Why not garf ?? It was the highlight of the last GP...ok I'm going to shut up now before anyone shouts at me! I think it will be: TRick (he surely has to win one soon) Sullivan Nicholls Hancock Ideally, Ryan would be on the top of the podium but I'd better not say that or I'll get called biased
-
Just thought I would start this thread as no-one else seems to have, wel from what I can see. 6 days to go so place your bets because the Slovenian GP is coming to a TV near you soon. Who will be crowned the king of the track this coming Saturday?
-
After lots of posts about who people don't think will get called back, I was just wondering which 5/6 riders (I can't remember how many it is) do you think will get called back for next years GP?

Hans Andersen surely secures GP place in 2005
Sulli replied to JT's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Surely they can't say that he can't be in the GPs next year because he's Australian? They have to base it on performance because that could be claimed for being racist? I personally don't think Max should be picked because his performance has been bad, ok I know Ryan's hasn't been great but it should go down to something that they can base it on, ie GP wins, rather than where they're from? -

Well I'm going by the one I posted originally because that was the one in the Speedway Star and on the GP website -

The line up on Rune's website contridicts what I wrote earlier. I must admit when I worked out the line up after the Danish GP, I got the same as what's on Rune's website but when I got my Speedway Star through yesterday it told me different (what I posted earlier) so I trusted them because I thought they'd know better than me (if that makes sense ) -
Gothenburg GP in doubt
Sulli replied to FlyinRyan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What happens if its called off? Does it get postponed to next week like last year? Taken from the GP website: '2003's Grand Prix at Ullevi ended in a big fiasco. The race was abandoned as the track was in a condition too bad for riding. This year it is going to be different. Last year, Dane Ole Olsen was brought in to fix the track for the weekend after. This year, BSI has had him lay the track from the beginning. It is now 15 meters longer than the one from last year and has better water resistance. - It is got a better surface with higher traction. It is a great track, says Olsen. BSI head chief of the speedway Grand Prix, John Postlethwaite, is also quite happy with this year’s preparations: - It is fantastic. We have invested a fortune in this track, he says.' It sounds promising but the rain spoils everything -
I would love to go, only problem is I'm not in Gothenburg I'll just have to settle for watching the GP tomorrow on TV

Thats not a good thing Why's that then? He's the best and it's about time he won it. If he wraps it up early then all the better. Plenty to race for for everyone else. Yea he may be the best rider and i think he deserves to and will win it but i would like to see it go down to the final meeting like last year instead of one rider being streaks ahead with no chance of anyone catching him with several meetings to go, if that makes sense Sort of the Hans Andersen GP Qualifier final theory? I think there's a flaw in that one I can understand where you're coming from but being a Ryan supporter with not much hope on that front this year I just want to see a good battle for the title - hope Crumpie comes out on top this year though. -

I think if Crump win this one then he will almost definitely have the championship in the bag
