Just seen Sky sports first advertised fixture for this year Belle Vue v Poole on the 30th March. That does not appear to be the date on the fixture list, and its a Wednesday, I wonder how many more will be changed.

Yawn....boring

I think you maybe conveniently forgot the word "hoped"

Been to Bulgaria, and the places and more you mentioned, sufficient to say that I would prefer Newcastle to there, and yet I have never been to Newcastle.

I agree somewhat with your comment regarding CH, and the World championship, but when he was riding for the IOW, did not the other riders in that team have the same opportunity to progress , where are they now ??
-
Anybody know when this tribunal is actually going to happen

I think you will find that all teams except one had points deducted, it just so happened that KL had raced more matches against Birmingham, so the effect was actually the same for all teams. Under different circumstances most teams could of won the title, but I will concede that certainly up until the injuries started, that KL were the best team in the league. Good luck for next year.

Just spoke to my ex in Poole at the moment and it is absolutely lashing it down there

If the damage done to the track was on a perfectly dry usable surface, then I think that most fans would agree that it was then the clubs fault, however the complexion of the problem does change somewhat when the existing state was that of mud and slime, and attempts to remove this resulted in unexpected damage to the first bend. Maybe this could of been "patched", but as both sets of riders were less than keen to ride, and the repair would of been ripped apart quite quickly, what was the point, potential carmage methinks

Poole Speedway 2014 Elite League Champions !
hrhbig replied to markyb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Never realised before, how many track preparation experts there are in this country, makes me wonder why ANY meeting is called off due to a waterlogged track, just get some of them along and they will make it safe and raceable, in minutes, easy peasy. -
Maybe they would put on a good show like they did tonight, and make you really happy
-
Maybe tonights meeting cheered you a little

After reading this (mostly invented supposition) I conclude that your season has not been a happy one

The Future Of The Elite League

Cor blimey every good socialist knows that the only way to balance the books is to borrow your way out of debt, after all why solve today what you can get others sort out later. -
If you look he dropped from 15 to 19 on 1st June , from 19 to 20 on 1st July, and to 25 0n 1st Aug, so not really a "sudden" drop

I am afraid you are. With the easy accessibility of the Internet every small and large thing that happens immediately becomes "public domain", things like this happened in the "old days", but of course really all the public rarely got to hear about it. As for promoters making money on the backs of the customer, look at Birmingham if you want to see what not making money brings forth. When I first went to Speedway in the sixties it was quote "dying on its feet", it still seems to be here, but yes it is a different product these days Well Happy memories anyway.
