Attended all the GP's in Daugavpils,good track purpose built stadium,better than anything we have in the uk, bit of a journey to get there.4 hrs + plus on the train from Riga. Should sell out as they have had at least two 10,000 +plus crowds for there polish league meetings this year,one meeting quoted as 12,500.Stadium capacity is around 15000

Hi, I can confirm ticket prices are as follows 55 euro grandstand 28euro family ticket 55euro I have recieved my tickets, the price I was charged was as as follows 2 @ tickets 55 euro 110.00 euro 2 @ delivery 19.49 euro 2 @ extra charges 6.60 euro ----------------------------------------- total charge for 2 @ 55euro tickets 136.09 EURO (bargain)! Plenty of hotels in UDINE, though most on the expensive side, I was expecting the tickets to be hand delivered by Miss Loren in person but it turned out to be the old guy who I call the postman

Just visited the TICKETONE web site.You have to register with the site before you can purchase tickets,which is normal for most GP internet ticket sites.however some of the wording concerns me a little when reading the terms and conditions you have to agree to when you register.It states that the provision of data for registration with the site is voluntary,but is necessary to gain access to the site and the services of ticketone.and without consent access will be denied.therefore you cannot purchase tickets.it also states that your personel information given may be shared with third parties and used via text or internet contact. this means that registration with the site implies your consent to the processing of personal data given. does this mean that you can expect to be flooded with unwanted e/mails every time you turn on your computer?

No!!!! the coach was full of locals, some standing.very cramped,very very hot!A least you can get up and walk about a bit on the train.Friend of mine tried it last year,told him not to.He said it was like sitting in a greenhouse,squeezed into a seat with no room to move.as said train is slow but there is room to move about. best of luck

Try www.travel2baltics.com Been to Daugavpils since it started and there is a large coach station in centre of town, go all over baltic states .seen coaches to lithuania from there.If going the other way you mean Riga there are about 4 trains a day.takes about 4hrs 30min, web site LDZ latvian railways.train very slow but punctual.hope this helps you. best wishes

Just got back from Poland,broke my ankle in Prague,now in plaster. Arrive at hotel in Wroclaw feeling pretty pissed off.Then when checking into hotel had my wallet credit card bank card driving licence and £800 stolen..returned to hotel after GP on sat feeling like sh!.Taxi pulls up outside hotel and Scott gets out of it.He came straight over and said how sorry he was to here about what had happened to me.and asked if he could help in anyway.This guy has just had one of his worsed nights in speedway,and he is asking me if there is anything he can do to help me. The guy is gutted,he knows things are not going well for him at the moment ,he knows what he is going to get in the next issue of speedway star and on the speedway forums.And believe me it hurts him a lot more than people think.In almost every english sport we build our sports people up,then after the honeymoon period we sit back and knock them down at every opportunity.Speedway people know that speedway is more about what is going on in a riders head when he goes out onto the track than it is with his bikes. I have no favourite rider,I just want to watch good speedway,thats what I pay to see. So when Scott and Chris go out on to the track at Poole on wednesday,they should be greeted as Tomas is greeted in Poland.The sooner they get some of there confidence back the better they will be,and the better we will feel.Don"t knock people when they are down,you know it only makes you feel worse than you do already.

Hi, anyone out there got any information about hotels/accomodation in Pardubice heard hotel LABE was as good a place as any. also heard some parts of the town are to be avoided. Any tips/information would be appreciated,as i have never been to this meeting before Thanks in advance!

Contacted them about 3weeks ago.I already had seats booked in block M7 Cardiff but they told me I could cancel them and they would sort out some seats for me.I am now a little worried that I might have given up some decent seats and I might end up sat in the third tier with my telescope!

If you book your flight with a credit card please make sure that your flight transaction for 1 ticket exceeds £100.under most credit card terms clause 75 states.Only transactions over £100 will be covered.I don"t know if a booking of say 2 @ £50 tickets booked on the same credit transaction will count, as they may treat it as 2 bookings.at£50 per booking.and therefore not eligable for a refund. Yes ticket sales are way down,and take a look at some of the hotel prices in poland,sweden,denmark and c/rep.most of the hotels are nearly double what they were 4yrs ago.it don"t take long for them to catch on.If all the hotels are empty and there are no shops left in Cardiff by the time June comes around might we see Clint Eastwood walking down the middle of the high street like in the movies?,he drinks rye if you bump into him. F1 no HONDA Rallycross no Suzuki or Subaru what next no Meridian,if there aint no shops or hotels they won"t need lifts shops 50% off,closeing down sales,buy Woolworths for a £1 Speedway buy your tickets at 2008 prices now before we reduce them. Hi,stayed in Polonez Hotel about 3yrs ago,cheaper than most in Poznan.not exactly 5 star but it serves its purpose.no bar.show your passport at desk in casino which is in the same reception area,you can get a drink and i found there money exchange rates pretty good.they think you might spend it on the tables!.typical casino, free coffee and sandwiches served by some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in Poland. polonez@orbis.pl

HI everyone, Firstly I would urge everyone to visit www.veltins-arena web site,where the stadium owners put foreward the advantages of useing there arena. Following there assessment of the stadium in 2003 UEFA and FIFA decided that they could not give the stadium there top 5 star award. NO! WHY YOU ASK? Because they felt that the stadium warranted at least a 6 star status plus on there scale. The stadium owners state (that thanks to its independence from the weather the arena always draws a large crowd)in the knowledge that the event will take place,with no regard to weather conditions outside the stadium. The stadium has been copied all around the world,and is now the bench-mark for stadiums being built everywhere.It is said that it ranks in the top three stadiums in the world today. So where did it all go wrong? As many have said BSI/IMG will now keep very quiet,other than to tell us what a great finish to the GP calender they gave us in Poland,with the atmosphere in the stadium boosted by some excelent races and the added bonus of the local boy comes good in front of his home fans.What a climax to the season they gave us,we could not have asked for more,then more back slapping or stabbing,and then what they are going to do for us next year. These people travel all over europe every year staying in the best hotels(I know I have seen them)eating in nice resturants, all paid for by Joe speedway public,you would not believe the work these people put in for the likes of you and me,only to be slagged off when something goes wrong, how ungrateful are we.When we should be throwing ourselves at there feet with gratitude. I for one will never forget how they toiled for us in Gelsenkirchen,I saw them in the hotel bar on the friday night, there IMG shirts covered in that dirty shale stuff.Some of you people out there don't know what a hard days work is, you should be so so grateful to these people who have devoted there lives so that you and I can watch speedway. For me ,I have my ear to the ground, there are rumbles,maybe legal points I need to explore, It maybe months,years even.But when the dirt hits the ground,all 4,000 tons of it,I know who it will fall on.

NOT SHOUTING/ CAPS LOCK DOING AN OLSEN/ GO TO VETLINS ARENA WEB SITE, THIS STADIUM CAN DO EVERYTHING BAR TURN ITSELF INSIDE OUT/ ROOF OPENS FLOOR GOES OUT INTO THE CAR PARK/SPECIAL AIR VENTILATION SYSTEM/ 2003 STAGED THREE DIFFERENT EVENTS IN 96 HRS ./WORTH THE MONEY JUST TO WATCH THE PITCH BEING MOVED OUTSIDE/DIRT DELIVERED MONDAY SO 5 DAYS TO GET IT RIGHT THEN.I WAS NEARLEY BEATEN UP BY A GROUP OF POLES 2PM SAT WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS CANCELLED AS WE WALKED ACCROSS THE CAR PARK BACK TO THE HOTEL THEY THOUGHT I WAS TAKING THE P,,,.A GROUP OF LAKESIDE SUPPORTERS ARRIVED CHECKED INTO THE HOTEL AT 5PM SAT.AT 530PM THEY CAME DOWN FROM THERE ROOM ALL DRESSED IN THERE ENGLAND SHIRTS CAPS ECT,AND STARTED WALKING OFF TO THE STADIUM,I RAN OUT OF THE HOTEL LOBBY AND CALLED THEM BACK, IF YOU COULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON THERE FACES WHEN I GAVE THEM THE BAD NEWS.THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS UNBELIEVABLE.MR OLSEN RETURNED TO THE HOTEL AT ABOUT 530PM COLLECTED HIS EVENING MEAL FROM THE RESTURANT ON A TRAY AND WENT UP TO HIS ROOM.NEXT SEEN AGAIN CHECKING OUT AT 1230SUN.A LAKESIDE SUPPORTER DID TRY TO SPEEK TO HIM AS HE LEFT BUT HE BRUSHED HIM ASIDE,JUMPED INTO HIS BMW AND RODE OFF INTO THE DISTANCE.THIS E/MAIL REALLY CAN NOT DISCRIBE THE CHAOS THAT WAS HAPPENING AROUND THE STADIUM AND HOTEL AS PEOPLE ARRIVED FROM ALL OVER EUROPE AT TEA TIME ON SATURDAY.I HAVE CONTACTED IMG ,SPG ECT BUT AS OF YET HAVE HEARD NOTHING.THERE STATEMENT IS TRYING TO IMPLY INCLEMENT WEATHER AS THE CAUSE,I THINK NOT.A FAILURE TO SEE THE STATE OF THE DIRT WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED WITH A 20PC PLUS WATER CONTENT WHEN IT SHOULD BE NEARER 5PC,IT WAS NEVER GOING TO DRY OUT IN TIME.SO ON TOP OF THE 700GBP I AM OUT OF POCKET, I NOW HAVE TO BUY A NEW KEYBOARD,GREAT, IT NEVER RAINS BUT IT POURS,SORRY THAT WAS,NT FUNNY

IT WAS NOT RAINED OFF!,I WAS IN THE STADIUM ON THE THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT UNLESS THEY TOOK THE DIRT OUT OF THE STADIUM AND LAID IT OUT IN THE PARKING AREA WHERE THE RIDERS HAD PARKED THERE VANS(AN AREA ABOUT THE SIZE OF TWO FOOTBALL PITCHES,PLENTY OF ROOM)AND ONLY 500MTS FROM THE TRACK, IT WAS NEVER GOING TO DRY OUT.THE WEATHER IN GELSENKIRCHEN AT THAT TIME WAS WARM AND SUNNY.PEOPLE WALKING AROUND IN TEE SHIRTS,I TOOK MY COAT OFF AS I WAS SWEATING WITH IT ON.THIS MEETING WAS NOT CALLED OFF BECAUSE OF AN ACT OF GOD(ALTHOUGH MR OLSEN SOME TIMES THINKS HE IS NOW SOME WHERE NEAR AT THAT LEVEL)NEVER SAW A PROGRAM IN 4 DAYS,GOT SEAT TICKETS [PRINTED] FRONT ROW BLOCK (P)FRIDAY!.MY 9th SGP THIS YEAR.8 LAST YEAR,FOLLOWED SPEEDWAY SINCE 1960.NOT STUPID EITHER.LEGAL ADVICE BEING SOUGHT NOW.
