  1. between me and Adam we have over 40 years racing experience but this engine is proving a testing time for us , the ignition system is in our opinion way to complicated for what's needed in speedway , the engine itself isn't too bad when it runs ok but for whatever reason it just develops a randem misfire and we just can't find out why , like I said at wolves on Monday it run perfect then at belle vue it played up , it played up at rye house before the meeting but ran ok during the meeting ? we have sent one of them back to Germany and brought over a GM and that seized but we will sort this and be back in the points soon
  2. Cov Comp has quite a few left but he is totally fed up with speedway as he is owed £s from last season by promotions who didn't pay their bills for the tyres and has been crapped on already by one promotion this season but hey ho the sport carries on like nothing is wrong
  3. I agree the lists do need to be cut down but I believe the person in question is a major player in publicity for belle vue
  4. that is terible if true and I also witnessed another long time belle vue person who is not an employee but I believe has and still does contribute to belle vue being questioned why he was on the list to get in ,sad
  5. the guy worked for BMW but it isn't a BMW engine , we have been having various problems with the engines or more precisely the ignitions , we are working very hard trying to find out what the problem is , last Monday against Coventry we thought we had cracked the problem and the engine rode faultless all night and adam got 2 wins on it , after the meeting we tested a GM Adam had brought over from Poland and did 6 faultless laps , then onto belle vue , we warmed both bikes up and they never missed a beat , he went out in his first ride on the German engine and we chose the wrong gearing for the engine and were way under geared , it was the same gearing as the rest of the team but it didn't work for us , so we changed the gearing and went out for his 2nd ride , as soon as I pushed him off the misfire was there but he still managed a 2nd on a misfiring bike , for his 3rd ride he rode his GM which seized on the back straight of the first lap so had to go back onto German engine for 4th ride ,we tried everything we know to get to bottom of problem but to no avail , this is just an explanation of what is happening it's not an excuse and we know we have to put this right , it is hurting us as much as it's hurting the wolves supporters ,adam has brought another GM and we hope to be back in the points soon
  6. Have to say the rider who I work for did 4 rides at rye house last week and the tyre was as good as done both sides
  7. yea yea all this takes away the fun from the sport , life is dangerous that's the point why don't all the fans go and stand in another place instead of the stadium or start wearing a helmet cause someone someday might just get hit by a bike , Jesus what year did we forget how to live , just for the record in the past I have spent 2 years working on the center green at speedway meetings as medical cover and never gave a second thought or even felt slightly endangered by doing it , it can happen but so can getting blown up by some nutter and that isn't going to change the way I live my life either
  8. yet another stupid rule in the already book of stupid rules , it doesn't add anything to speedway and doesn't bring one fan through the turnstiles , as for safety , speedway is dangerous
  9. Had a chat with Steve jenson in the bar after the meeting , came across as a very forward thinking guy and to me understands what speedway is .hope rye is a big success for him and last night was a good start
  10. and where are they going to stand ?? The first bend is planned to be where the big mound of dirt is and the back gardens are about 100 yard behind it and got to squeeze in greyhound track too and the 3rd/4th are going to be car park , the back straight is where the wall is so that leaves the home straight and with any stand there will leave hardly any room for terraces , basically everthing has got to fit into the current carpark with the one bend going over where the big mound is , going to have to be a very condensed stadium , going to be s real test for Briggs's dirt deflectors , stopping flying shale from shot blasting residents windows, I really hope this stadium is going to happen but the extensive house building going on doesn't instal hope, I understand they say the stand is built elsewhere but who exactly is laying the track ????
  11. In the wolves side of the pits at Poole last night there was 9 GMs , 3 GTRs and 2 of the German things skornicki uses
  12. i asked Adam last night ,he said he has never rode at rye house and he wasn't in Chris neath testimonial
  13. yes , Adam scornicki has 2 on hire for this season
  14. the other engine is not BMW , the guy who designed it did work for BMW but it has nothing to do with them , you don't plug it in to laptop to change anything , it' is still all mechanical but the ignition timing is changed by preset USB type plugs that you change when wanting different ignition timing , the engine has been around a few years now , it is a reliable engine , similar to GTR in that it is a twin cam , the oil stays in from service to service and it does 100 races between service
  15. sugest you have a chat with Adam about his views on his the importance of British speedway to polish riders ,even if he was world champion he would still ride over here, he was an elite league no1 in 2014 at Birmingham up till his injury and was the top pole over here , don't always believe it's the polish authorities that stop them riding here , although they do create problems and more so lately there has been instances in recent times that the rider just couldn't be arsed to come but the club said he was prevented by his polish club
  16. adam has always put British speedway first even when he was polish champion
  17. And as he is riding on a British ACU licence he could ride for us in SWC 😉
  18. The cut out , the primary chain guard , swinging footrest , pretty much everything else wasn't needed
  19. didn't see a lot of the racing but couldn't believe how smooth and fast Ronnie Correy looked , for a guy that retired over 10 years ago he looked totally at ease
  20. he is ok , a bit sore but ok , however the bike fared less well , bent frame, forks and front wheel
  21. Out of 50 top stars asked 42 refused for whatever reason , some maybe genuine but the rest is a disgrace and says a lot about the mercenary attitude of today's stars , as Paul ackroyd says evry rider should do it at least 1 in every 5 years
