  1. and yet we have a country that billionaires from all corners of the globe want to buy into our football teams (some not even football country's )and if that doesn't spell corruption nothing will
  2. some does and I know that at least one team in Poland the riders receive a substantial fee from the local council, a stadium like Torun is in design very basic and simple but wow, the place just oozes atmosphere and is even when empty a place that is amazing ,belle vue is your average althlectics track stadium design , I just feel it could of been a lot better than it is , it doesn't make me want to go even though the 2 times I've been the racing has been good
  3. me too I won the 50/50 draw , think that's the first time I've won anything at buxton including my racing there 😀
  4. Love the new stadium look at Wroclaw , every time I see these polish stadiums I think about belle vue and they had a blank canvas and that's the best they could do , I was there a couple of weeks ago , great track but stadium is imo bland and doesn't make any atmosphere
  5. his look apeals to the yuff apparently and him not appearing on question of sport is more to do with the BBC having their heads stuck firmly up their own backsides
  6. the warning may be for stopping the race but woffinden jumped twice trying to anticipate the start , the fact that he impeded himself doesn't matter , he was trying to cheat and he was the one who made vaculik jump, unfortunately the ref was his usual useless and warns the wrong rider, got a feeling we are going to see some tactical twitching on the start line when a rider knows the rider next to him is on a warning
  7. Doyle and vaculik both on warning , woffinden twice jumps the start and no warning
  8. this is so true , when I put on the buxton air fence meeting I had this very idea but I just didn't realise riders would be so reluctant to get back on a bike , I think I tried around 100 ex riders from all different era's and some just refused saying they will never get back on a bike again , some said they wouldn't race but would do a couple of practice laps , it took me by surprise as I thought they would all jump at the chance , I agree it's a great idea though
  9. yet thought kylmakorpi rode for Sweden but never his homeland at world level
  10. but they didn't ride for one.country then ride for another, my point is Schlien has ridden for aus and isn't there a rule that says when you have ridden for your country at World Cup level you can't represent another country ?
  11. if he wins the British final and he has every chance it means the BSF will go into meltdown with the 2 aus/gb riders at Cardiff lol
  12. schlien has rode for aus at World Cup and isn't there a rule which says you can't swap country when you have done this?
  13. those engines have gone back to their owner as we just couldn't get round the ignition problems with them , Adam has now purchased 2 GMs which unfortunately he hasn't got to use yet as wolves replaced him before he picked them up , however if you look at the scores he got when the engine did work you will see Adam still has it even at top level ,
  14. i have banged on about doubling up since it became the norm, it is a total farce If a team sign double up riders ,promotors should be made to reduce admission price per meeting by a £5 per rider for every time a rider misses a meeting cause riding for other team excluding young British NL riders
  15. In a lot of various sports unless your at the top a lot of competitors have other jobs but for some bizzare reason speedway riders seem to think because they can race speedway they should earn a living from it ,unless at the top be grateful you get paid to ride your bike , you could always get a job in the real world 9-5 , nobody is forcing you to ride ,for 20 years I had a blast , the time of my life and looking back it proberly cost me to ride but so what , I earnt a living outside speedway and always have done , I don't begrudge riders earning a living at the top but the money just isn't there for everyone and attitudes need to change
  16. irrespective of my various rolls I may of had in the sport I am just a fan sick to death of doubling up , speedway is a team sport and when you ride for a team , you are that team not just when it suits you , as much as I know how much riders are paid here and abroad im not interested in riders earnings or if they can make a living at speedway , what I am interested in is speedway and it's future
  17. i know exactly how much riders earn , I also know how much it costs to ride , I could go into some exact figures but I'm not going to as it's not my place to put riders earnings in to public demain
