Footwear In The Pits
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to Hamish McRaker's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
being a spanner man ,trainers are good enough for the job , wouldn't wear flip flops myself but if josh feels they good for him then fine with me , I wouldn't wear high heeled shoes to drive in but some women do and its been like that since god was a national league rider , pete adams is often seen smoking next to bikes in wolves pits -

check out the gloves the riders are wearing these days they offer little or no protection, they are like socks -

ah bless your such a softee, I have news for you , thousands of people die everyday, it's the way life is, reading your posts recently you sound like a real bundle of joy to be around and do you really think thrill seekers like speedway riders care a hoot about wearing proper footware ? Or any sort of health and safety for that matter -

I should of said if you were to hit the limiter it would be dangerous because if you hit the limiter during a corner the bike will straighten up like hitting a rut but the limit is set at 13,100 I believe and even the top riders in the world only hit around 11,000 during a race so it doesn't really do anything except maybe on the start line, if your bike hits 13,000 during a race then your set up is wrong and your in danger of your tyre disintegrating after a couple of laps

GTRs do have Rev limiters but they are rarely hit and hitting one during a race can be dangerous

Tickets For Prague
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to Tricky's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Pawlicki makes a perfect start gets a warning , Doyle goes through tapes but gets no warning ,think this rule needs dropping -
Tickets For Prague
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to Tricky's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Pawlicki should never have been on a warning , it was a perfect start , ref could of used video evidence , his exclusion should of been his warning . Woofys gating needs sorting , he is dropping the clutch very late and it's costing him, he has the speed on his engines -
I see it one of 3 ways , either they are general thieves who don't know what it is and therefor it may get dumped and found ,or they are professional thieves who wait a while and then find out the owners and contact them offering the bike back at a price saying they have found it in a shed or somewhere and if the police are contacted the bike will disappear or it's someone in the speedway community that puts new gaurds and covers and sells it back to speedway community

Presenters And Announcers
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to LondonSpeedwayFan71's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
chris is arguably the best speedway has had and so what if he spoke his mind , speedway needs people like chris it reminded me of Austin powers whence was from the 70s and put in 2017 , he was cringworthy -
nicki pedersen has started using them in Poland and Denmark until his crash

British speedway fan average age is around 50 and numbers are dwindling by the week and not being replaced by the youth supporters , look at the crowds in Poland ,full of young fans average age 20 boys and girls , all wearing team scarfs on their wrists or team tershirts , so who is doing things right ? You may not like the answer cause it doesn't appeal to you but as far as I can see there is no next generation speedway in Britain, 42,000 fans attended 4 polish extra league meetings on Sunday and 2 of them were live on tv ,plus all the other polish league that took place , how many attended British speedway last week ? -

first your not always checked before meeting for carb , the SCB are not that stupid , second your spare tyre has to be used and is marked by machine examiner , no other new tyre is allowed in pits and they will make you take it out the pits if you have one fitted to a spare wheel ,you can use a r/r new tyre as the team is permitted 7tyres , this may of happened back in the day but cheating is a bit more less obvious these days

Chris Holder Average Farce At Kings Lynn
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
yes , speedway is and always has been a head game , you can have the best equipment money can buy but if your head isn't 100% on it you won't get to that first corner first and the higher the standard you race at the more it will punish you , every rider will at some point hit a mental rut and it is harder to get out of it than it was to get in it . I believe this is where holder is at the moment, I also think he needs a change of tuner and maybe try a GTR or at least something different but that's his decision -

I was watching a second division meeting yesterday at rawisz , must of only been a couple of hundred there but they were chanting away for the whole meeting , looking like they were having a blast i believe this is a huge factor missing from British speedway , it used to be such a social sport
