  1. Many people would retire with this over them but then again many people would never get on a bike again after their first fall ,the fact that he is undecided tells you in his mind he has unfinished buisiness , there is not right or wrong decision , life is full of would of ,should of ,could of , if the desire is still there then I think he will race again but whatever his decision he has proven to be a world class rider and entertainer
  2. really hope this works out but still say the trust should look at a couple of its members like the clown who walked out last week and was practically crying to get back in , actions like this are not doing Cradley any favors
  3. Although the bikes they ride today are not exactly versatile when the tracks are less than perfect and there is some rough tracks around I believe some riders need to have a good look at themselves , if someone were to propose a more stable easy to ride bike but they would have to sacrifice a couple of bhp to achieve it the riders were be in uproar , you can lead a horse to water etc etc
  4. councils would kill their own family's if you line their pockets , he has been doing this long enough to know councils can be bought , he is an arsehole and a liar but he isn't stupid
  5. you also have no idea about Chris Harris fitness either , speedway is a head game , the head of the engine and the head of the rider , being race fit with a strong head will get your further than being a super fit althlete , some riders like doing the fitness thing some don't , if it makes you happy then great but if it doesn't then it's works the opposite way and your head is not right and you will win nothing
  6. I will give you darcy ward before his accident
  7. your not on your own , in team sport team identity is everything but speedway has become a team sport with no team identity
  8. cant stand the bloke but as I see it we are at rock bottom and have nothing left to lose so might as well let him have a go , his idea of speedway isn't the sport I was brought up with but maybe he can make speedway into a F1 type of sport he desires which I have no interest in, I'm getting to the point of past caring now
  9. although that's not the answer to speedways problems there is a hell of a lot of truth in it
  10. I like buster but the sport I love is a total shambles and I have never felt so detached from it ,It has no direction or fun and for a team fan no purpose , is buster to blame ? Well maybe not entirely but he is at the top so he has to take the blame
  11. They are trying to find a site for a permanent gypsy site , let the residents know they are considering that site they will soon be welcoming a speedway track
  12. Not sure if we are going this year , will decide on Friday , feel like we are getting shafted for disabled tickets , two years ago we took our disabled son for the first time , when booking tickets online we were told there was only one seat with the disabled ticket as every other seat was sold so we got that and my other half had that ticket , we were told the next closest ticket was in the next block around 50 seats away and it was £85 ,I had the ticket only to find when we got in the stadium there was plenty of empty seats around my son and I sat in one of them , so basically I was ripped off for a expensive ticket. ,last year we brought the disabled tickets again but this time we managed to get them all together only to find when we got in there our seats were taken by another family and they had exactly the same tickets as us ?? We were moved to some other seats by the steward , to me the whole ticket selling is a scam to get you to buy more expensive tickets by telling you seats are not available when clearly they are
  13. and if you look at the plans that's where the 1st and 2nd bend are supposed to be
  14. no it's because he is not 100% commited ,you can tell by his first corners , I think life (his baby etc( is diverting his focus , there are people in the sport who are good at getting into riders heads and you may not see them but they are there , there is a huge difference between being Mentally fit and totally commited. It's not difficult to race a speedway bike once you know how to but to race into a first corner with 3 other lunatics inches from you and keep the throttle open is something you can not learn in a gym ,especially when it has bitten you before and you have ploughed through the fence and every rider has done that, if a rider believes being a super fit althlete gives him an advantage then great , what works for one doesn't work for all I remember reading chris holder saying In the year he was world champ he had never been to a gym in his life it's just not for him
  15. my point was riders just need to be race fit not althletic fit , it doesn't take a great deal of fitness to race speedway , there are riders about who live in the gym and are extremely fit but are nowhere near the top of the sport because they don't have the mental focus needed ,we could be spending our money more wisely, the only difference noticed in team GB at the World Cup is a random bloke kept appearing in the team photos , I also think woofy is a good case in point at the moment , super fit , best equipment ,best team but struggling to make the semi finals in the GP s , why?
  16. you would be surprised what some of the poles are like away from the track , yes they do train and they are all fit but they understand the mental side is more important , speedway is a head game not a fitness one, I have mentioned this before , you have the right bikes and the right head and desire you will win , you have the right bikes, the fitness the team, everything but you haven't got the head you will win nothing , this has been proven time and time again , kasprazak is the obvious example , he has everything bikes, team , fitness , money , sponsors and is a world class rider but he has days when his head isn't there and he struggles to beat his own shadow and it doesn't matter how many times he goes to the gym or whatever food he eats , it's the mind that wins races, riders might talk the fitness healthy lifestyle but they eat crap like the rest of us and they spend more time on a plane than they do in a gym and most of the training they do is riding motox
  17. To say certain members from the trust and the current 3 promotors are not the best of friends is a massive understatement , what is put out in press releases is just spin as is the crap which is put out in the local papers every year about finding land , this is a genuine chance but to get somewhere but imo personalities on both sides need to change to get anywhere , yes they need work together but will they ?
  18. One thing the World Cup did show is all this healthy crap does nothing , get the right engines and a shrink and you may get an improvement , speedway is all about what's in the head of the engine and the head of the rider , not what's in the crank cases or the belllly
  19. its amazing how seemingly open doors can slam shut when a word from the right person in the right ear takes place , everyone wants Cradley back but not everyone has the same agender and a clash will be and already is in exsistance , as I've said before the trust needs to use its fan power to stand a chance , although I do believe the trust also needs to look at its own personality and who is fronting it but that's just my personal opinion
  20. yes it would for all Cradley fans but do not underestimate the power of some people within the sport who may have a more selfish agenda
