there are riders using them with big service intervals , the problem wasnt its reliabilty or its service costs it was its performance or at least how to achieve the performance ,I understand that there are some using them in longtrack/ grasstrack in Europe , its obvious you dont like them and are finding some enjoyment in their failure to take off in Britain and in the bspa failure if there is one ,they could of been a answer but sadly it doesnt look like thats going to happen now

and then they had the gift of tomasz gollob who pretty much brought Poland to the front of speedway world, we have a similar sort of thing in British speedway called tai woffinden who does the opposite

not so much the bspas part because I dont actually know what the deal is but the GTR concept really could of been a way forward but the attitude of the riders and nay sayers within the sport wont let it happen

When I first signed a contract with wolves , I got the 5p which was on the bspa contract at the time , straight away they sold me for £250 to buxton and then because of owners changing tracks I got transferred to stoke with 4 other riders and fixtures and I remained contracted to stoke for the next 18 years where I was loaned out to Berwick , Glasgow , long Eaton for a fee and to any national league teams that had to pay ,stoke never stopped me riding for anybody but I always had to ask their permission if another team was interested

there were 2 used at Birmingham on Wednesday along with 2 jawas , seem to go ok, still say if it were SOHC it would be a different story now and if it was enforced as everyone had to use them so no one was at an advantage or disadvantage speedway as a whole would be on the way to a more sound financial step but as we stand riders rule and as such costs just keep going up and up and riders keep wanting more and more and well you get the picture , it needs leadership and strict rules and the GTR could of been part of it , instead we have no leadership, half arsed rules and tuners are still the winners

totally agree the polish system of reserves has made Poland the force it is at under 21 level and over 21 , I believe Britain should adopt the same system and I dont understand how opening it up to foreign riders is going to help polish speedway

Compare this to whats happening over here next year , nobody knows how many teams or what league or what make up of teams or even if there will be speedway in Britain next year or what the hell is going on , makes you really excited about british speedway doesnt it 🙄

more people suffer serious injuries tripping over their slippers than riders do riding speedway per year , while speedway is a bit dangerous its no more dangerous than a lot of jobs , the risks can be the same , in 21 years I never went to the tapes thinking Im putting my life on the line or this is dangerous ,I cant say the same while driving down the m1 in the heavy rain , nobody is forced to race, you have an accident at work or on the road and you will wait 15mins + for medics , have an accident at speedway and the medical crew are there in 30 secs, there is no better place to have a accident in a strange sort of way

if people really want to know then ask the riders themselves , lesser riders could always do with sponsorship but equally some could do with advice cause they dont always know how to use it

as Ive said before its not a secret its more a case of a private matter , if a rider wants to say then fine but I feel its not right for other people to divulge riders earnings , I wouldnt like people talking about what I earn .

I have a bit of sympathy for them as 5 are injured and injuries cant be helped but the other 2 going on holiday is just not on and both should be fined ,I dont care if its a re aranged fixture , they have all winter to go on holiday , just another example of riders taking the pee

i think the one of the best signings could be musielak , really came on this year and surely wont be staying with rybnik, be interesting to see who takes a gamble on nicki pedersen and it is a gamble

I just looked and it does say on the polish site that i read it that jack holder and Jarek hampel to leszno but I think they mean Kurtz

did I read jack holder was replacing Zengota at leszno or did I dream it ?

Why is there nobody in the seats ? Is it more expensive to sit there ?

Considering riders are supposed to be healthy eating athlletes these days there isnt half a lot of sudden illnesses especially on shared event days

Im sorry to say this but riders are just motivated by greed now , even at NL level they are demanding stupid money and dont ride when they dont get it

they could always get a job and live in the real world , I was having this Conversation with Skornicki on the way to birmingham the other night and he said about 40 British meetings was enough and even better If it were set days like Monday and Thursday as there are plenty of open meetings at the weekends in Europe if they choose ,

a crowd attracts a crowd attracts a crowd , put an empty bag on the street and people just walk past it , put the same bag with 20 people standing round it and people will stop to take a look , its at that point where the bag (speedway) needs to keep them there

For me tomasz is one of my all time favourite riders ,a real racer, YouTube has some amazing examples of his finest rides but also he is more than any other the rider the one that put Poland on the world stage and made it the force it is today , it is heartbreaking what has happened to him and I hope that in time a breakthrough is made and tomasz can get back to a sort of normal life
