  1. They will tell you that’s the foundations for the new stadium
  2. We need to get to a point where sponsorship pays the bills so the admission money becomes a bonus and therefor we can £10 to get in, I keep hearing people say that there is no sponsorship around and that’s just not true it’s just they won’t put it in too speedway and that’s where we should be looking, why won’t they ?
  3. That’s because 1. the product isn’t right and 2.the regular price is too much
  4. Was that reply meant for me ? As I have no idea what it’s meant to mean
  5. The motox track is a big eyesore but I suppose if it another income that keeps speedway going then so be it
  6. I’d say more getting on for 1000 at the Torun GP, not so many at the other 2 you only have to go into the town after the GP to see half of british speedway and I’ve seen that many british riders, promotor’s, sponsors and fans on our flights that sat at Bydgoszcz airport 2 years ago I jokingly said to the Mrs if this flight crashes british speedway will stop
  7. And this comes down to points I’ve made before, riders attitudes need to change and there needs to be strict controls on bikes, sure riders will kick and scream as they always do but there is no other way, their way of I want my living and all the trappings that go with it and I don’t care where the money comes from has all but gone bankrupt, it’s them who have pushed the costs up with their excess not the fans, the sport is living beyond its means and has been for a while , nobody wants to see riders earn less but this is the real world not the protected bubble that riders and their sycophants live in and it has no more money
  8. There will always be riders, maybe a different mentality riders but there won’t be fans, riders of today are total greed and some only choose speedway as their motorcycle sport because they get paid for doing it, you only have to see some of the debates I’ve had on social media with riders who I now well to see they don’t give a damn about the future of the sport or for that matter the people who pay for it
  9. Every year in speedway rules are made to please riders, the sport is effectively run by riders , the fixed race night to please some top riders and to avoid the clashes in the cancer that is doubling up so riders can still double up, not giving a thought to fans just worrying about their bank balance, until people realise the sport is there for fans we will keep making stupid decisions and killing the sport bit by bit, the next AGM should have the words TEAM and FANS on billboards across the room maybe then someone might grasp what the sport is about
  10. I would of excluded Bartoz, nobody is at fault but had Pepe kept the throttle on he would of wiped out walasek so he shuts off and naturally turns to inside and Bartoz Wipes his leg out but no intent and nobody really at fault
  11. Brilliant end to an average meeting , lindgren brilliant in final, not sure woffinden will be congratulating him though
  12. Both magic and nicki both tried to play the ref , both could of stayed on but choose to try and get a rerun , ref right both times
  13. One of the biggest problems this sport has got and as had for a long time is no regulation on equipment , if GM were to make a new super short stroke 100mm piston 60stroke engine and it proved to be faster but it doubled the cost, every rider would get one and speedway would allow it because it fits in with the vague regulation we have now, so it doubles the cost overnight but has no benifit to the sport at all, it doesn’t bring one person through the turnstiles and this has been happening since the street engine in the 70s and not just with engines, there should be a technical committee that looks at new products and that product should have 3 questions asked of it. 1. is it a safety benefit . 2. Does it do anything to improve the sport,. 3 does it reduce costs for the competitor ,if it doesn’t tick at least 1 box its get thrown out
  14. I meant the sport is costing more than the income it’s generating and the riders are fueling that by demanding this and that, saying they have to have this and they have to have that, it’s no good putting it all in to be the best if there is nowhere left to be the best and that’s where we are heading
  15. So it said on polish press a few weeks ago
  16. So what special parts were in lindgren’s engine ?? It was the chrome coming off the big end pin , we have been through all this before and you just ignore the facts and only hear what you want to hear, still waiting for your ideas as a way forward , you just keep burying your head in the sand like the others
  17. Not true , that’s just in the head of riders and it’s that mentality that’s pushing the sport out of reach financially
  18. It won a GP and as shown in my last post and proved by lindgren was reliable and cost effective, it’s down side was getting it to perform (set up), what else did you expect it to do ?
  19. i was reading yesterday some posts from graham hurry saying that paul used a GTR last season, did 22 meetings without any service work and he actually made a bit of money although I doubt he was on a crap deal but the point is the engine, there will be riders who are lesser standard or equal that spent £££££ with englebert fancypants engine tuning and lost a fortune and cant make it pay and will tell you a million reasons why they wont use a GTR, there is a lesson there somewhere for not just riders but speedway as a whole but don't expect it to be learnt
  20. Speedway was the loser because it had a chance to address the cost issue and mechanically at least get a sound footing to build on, unfortunatly the sport is riddled with people with their head buried in the sand like you who can’t ever see the bigger picture and offer nothing more than cheap jibes
