  1. Don’t believe everything you read about the poles, why is Jason Doyle not leading the world championship ? Or to.be honest not at the top of his game ? His equipment is the best and his training is at the top so what’s changed ? It’s his mindset, he is NO1 and with it comes a change in mindset, not diet or fitness and that’s why it is so hard to to do back to back titles, notice woffinden has the well known fitness coach Pete Adams back in his corner at GPs, speedway is a head game, personally I just think we will get the same results we would of anyway , in Wroclaw we should be able to get on rostrum as it’s woffinden track and lambert can cut it in poland, I don’t think Cook can but I just think he is too nervous and too wound up to be able to make an impact and you don’t change that with fitness , one place I do think they will make an impact is raising the profile on team GB cause the world is full of that type of people who believe all the add ons is the way everything should be
  2. You will get better results if you employ a headshrink and a good tuner, that’s all that matters in speedway always has always will, your not on track long enough for the rest to make a big difference, if this althlete thing works for an individual rider then great but it’s not for everyone and any motorsport competitor will tell you, you can have the best equipment and have the best team around you and be the fittest athlete in the world but if your head is not 100% you won’t win anything and that applies even more in speedway cause all that belief has to be packed into 100 yards to the first corner and no amount of physical training will get you to that. The two heads are everything in speedway, the one on the shoulders and the one on the barrel, get those right you will go along way
  3. Got to be honest I just don’t get what they do, I understand what they want to achieve but I find all this althlete stuff a massive bore and really I couldn’t care less about it, I don’t like rossiter as GB manager but he is the manager and to have all these people dictating what goes on is wrong, it’s rossiters job and his job only and also to have seemingly one rider dictating how things are is also wrong,
  4. The empty seats will only come as surprise to bsi, when will speedway realise it is too expensive in Britain, be it bsi or bspa
  5. I’m not going not because it’s BV or because it’s the SON and I’m not impressed by either it’s because it’s a Tuesday and more importantly it’s over £100 for me the Mrs and our son in the seats and that is too much
  6. Maybe but talking to a few the other night they said no they wouldn’t be going, I hope it’s a big crowd as it hurts to see small crowds at speedway . Have you any information of how ticket sales are going ?
  7. One thing the SON has got going for it on Tuesday night is the weather forecast
  8. Along with Gollob it was Bydgoszcz that was the track that brought polish speedway to the rest of the world ,as you say sad to see it like this but as much as Tomasz made the track famous it could be argued that it’s his relative that has made it what it is today
  9. This goes back to the old argument of type of fans who watch speedway, fans like me are interested in that kind of thing but the majority of fans haven’t a clue about the mechanical side of the sport and are not interested, my Mrs is your typical speedway fan and switches off when i explain about the technical side, it’s not a motorsport it’s a sport on motorbikes, I don’t get the moaning about pearson and Tatum, just turn the sound down, although I watch the polish even though we have BT
  10. So on to Tuesday, last night just didn’t do it for me at all but will Tuesday be the saviour of the SON ? I’m one of the very few people who are totally uninspired by the NSS, it’s a great track but the stadium is bland imo but anyway I’m trying to be neutral and give the SON a chance so Tuesday will have to be something special ortherwise scrap it and bring back the SWC, I’m not really bothered if GB get through as i I’m not a fan of two of our team and that’s putting it mildly ,I just want to see a good meeting, good racing and a tense finish, hopefully a good crowd but for me it’s too expensive to attend, so let’s see
  11. I’m watching on polish so no idea what Kelvin and Nigel are saying
  12. If Gino doesn’t ride again USA can’t qualify under the format
  13. I hope it isn’t a shambles, I want it to be a success but I do want the SWC back, this for whatever reason doesn’t capture the spectacle for me, let’s just hope for some decent racing and on Tuesday a decent crowd
  14. But how are the staff supposed to make it pay? Do you know the cost of a uniform and the bus fare to the cinema for the staff, if you want the best staff at the cinema you need to charge £20 per film and only show it on a Monday and Wednesday as of a weekend the staff work in sainsbury’s, also the camera can be very very dangerous so the staff risk their life everytime they show you a film
  15. I meant for your £19 car park ticket they make you a car park attendant for the night as part of the deal not you get a parking space, that's 2 belle vue fans today that I have had to explain to , must be my accent
  16. So I’m told it’s £25 on back straight and £19 on car park on third and 4th bends, not sure if you have to park the cars too as part of the deal
  17. Yes I know but british speedway is perfectly experienced in overpricing it’s product, hence why the person would suitable ,humour is never good when you have to explain it
  18. At over £100 for seats for me ,the Mrs and our son I think I will give it a miss, if anybody thinks that’s a bargain there is a place on the british speedway management comitee waiting for you
  19. That was me, the VIP tickets just mean the seat but as we found out it had a restricted view and we couldn’t see the one bend at all, we were led to believe with vip we got food and parking but that isn’t the case, that another thing altogether ,just have the normal seats the view is amazing where ever you sit
  20. It makes you wonder why gomolski and smolinski signed for falubaz and they don’t get a ride when they would of been pretty much gaurenteed at tarnow
  21. A genuine question is anyone on here going to the SON at belle vue on Tuesday ? , don’t know if it’s just me but it all seems rather low key and doesn’t seem to have captured the publics imagination
  22. Also a factor is personel any business would certainly vet the people who they are investing in
