I agree, laguta is a brilliant rider and very fast but I’ve seen laguta when the track doesn’t suit him, you don’t see that in zmarzlik, there is plenty of riders who beat zmarzlik but those riders then go missing in the next round, even on his bad days zmarzlik never goes missing

We paid £45 for tickets last night and there were plenty of touts outside the stadium offering them for around £25 which I feel is value

I will never not be a fan of zmarzlik, his attitude to winning is matched by his talent and imo is by far the greatest rider the sport has ever had, his pass on Thompson tonight was just pure class, started a lap before by showing Thompsen his front wheel up the inside making Thompsen change his line leaving zmarzlik to go where he needs to get the speed to pass him ,irrespective of how good the opposition is or isn’t, it is arguably harder to beat anyone nowadays because all 16 riders have pretty much identical engines obviously with their own set ups which wasn’t the case back in the 60s 70’s 80s or any decade you care to mention, when the few had far superior engines to the rest of the field, speedway has had some greats over the years but imo none had the complete package like zmarzlik

The FIM have scheduled a secret meeting for tomorrow to see how they can penalise zmarzlik at the next GP

Think the guy stretchered off may have been a photographer who fell off his stool when the crash happened directly infront of him

There is a polish fan right where crash was being attended to by paramedics inbetween track and fence for terracing, the ambulance has left the track but he still down, nobody seems to know what’s happened to him rerun delayed while he being dealt with, got a stretcher for him now

Think that’s unfair on Kurtz, he is proving himself in Poland, he is a natural racer, I know it’s a massive task but 3 of this years rounds are his home tracks, you take your luck when it’s handed to you

He wasn’t there when 2 mins finished although as you say when he was chatting to Kurtz nothing happened for about 5 mins

A couple of them did try it on practice but I could see someone cutting your nose off coming off corner in a race

Decent crowd in, not sold out but good nevertheless, not seen many brits, plenty of poles

Can’t remember what the racing is like here but track looks very one line entry into corners and exit too

The stand on the back straight is a temporary stand, I wonder if it the one to be used at belle vue and discovery own it and rent it to the GP venues ?

Exactly this, we were right over the pits and zmarzlik was there waiting for what seemed like ages but the 2 mins had already expired, he was in his pit bay when it expired

Strangely no music or tannoy announcement in the stadium for the sprint, so nobody really knew what was going on

Zmarzlik says he was doing an interview when 2 mins was on but I think the interview was before that

While I get the anger from zmarzlik, he should just of sent his pit crew to argue his point and he should just let it go and do the talking on track, the only was to beat zmarzlik is to get into his head and I don’t think this will work but it takes his focus away

Phil morris says he wasn’t there when 2 mins clock ended of which is correct , he was standing 15ft away, bartoz pit bay is the closest to the gate stand of all the riders

Heated discussion going on between Phil morris and zmarzlik about not being ready to pick his gate, fact is this, bartoz was there and there was so much messing around (10mins) bartoz walked back to his bike which was literally 15 foot away and came back to the stage,where the was another 5 minutes wait before anything happened, it’s a shambles in the pits, lots of freeloaders standing hands in pockets, nobody seems to know what’s going on

So with an extra 20 points available for the sprint, that’s an extra 20 points for bartoz to win the championship by
