To be honest the national league or conference league as it was called then was a pretty good product from around 2000-2006 with teams like Weymouth, Wimbledon and Plymouth running infront of big crowds but jealousy set in from above and the bspl sent agent cook in to destroy the national league and reduce it to a training league and by the time I left it in 2012 it was pretty much on its knees to sadly where it is today

Not that’s it worth anything but my opinion is if we wait till January and then it’s announced a 5 or even 6 team premier with or without tv money then the speedway is in big trouble next year, nobody wants a premier league to see the same teams over and over, last year with 7 teams it was repetitive,let’s hope something happens in the coming week/s to force it to be 1 league and we can get on with making that keague work to the best of its ability, I’d of liked the top 5 teams to have wanted to have 1 league by choice but if it is forced then so be it, the fans want it and from what I hear British riders want it too

Exactly the way Mike lemon was talking in the star last week was like his life depended on the premier league, no matter what or how delusional it is it’s got to happen, I think if you had a piece of land at the back of your garden they would call you up to see if you could be the 6th team

Firstly just let me say I’m disgusted at the way the public is being treated by the bspl, I won't say this particular rumour because it betrays the trust of those at the coal face so to speak and they will know where it came from and wouldn’t tell me anything else, I also like to see if anyone else has heard anything along the same lines on here ,once something becomes public knowledge then I’m ok with it, what if the rumours are not true ? It spreads like wildfire and people end up with egg on their face

Well as one top rider said they won’t be available come January they will sign up for other leagues

I hear rumours which would make the whole 2 tier system is well and truly doomed, now they are only rumours so I’m not going fuel them until I know it’s true

I think the ideal solution would be to keep the big names, nobody wants to lose them but if it is the only way to go then so be it

Be honest, if you had a couple of million to throw at sponsoring British speedway, with the current state of the sport and knowing all your doing is giving it too the bspl or speedway futures (same people) to jizz up the wall again would you ? I know I wouldn’t not in its current business model

I’ve often wondered how much ford, bates, Louis, Godfrey, morris and the secretary’s wages come too every year ? Got to be honest I would do it for half

They are desperate so wouldn’t put anything past them

Yes if he would ride for rising star money because his performances during his stint in the uk just about warranted them
