I have a fear of getting injured doing something else,the likes of gollob, adams comes to mind and sort of puts me off doing something like motox even if it’s just for fun, I am stupid enough to do it but it’s the getting injured doing something out my chosen thing stops me,riding a speedway bike getting injured doesn’t even cross my mind because it’s sort of my thing that I’ve always done if that makes sense

Racers don’t think about another accident though, the mentality you have is it will never happen to me and if it does you deal with it and think it will never happen to me again, when I finished it wasn’t through injury although I did finish with a back injury in my last meeting but I knew I couldn’t finish until I knew I’d had enough, I’d sratched that itch but even then a few years later I started riding in the veteran stuff

Hope he doesn’t retire if he not 100% sure about it because I know this will sound alien if you have never been a racer but injuries or not that itch is a bitch and will always be there when you don’t retire on your own terms

They did for a year with Dave Goddard commentating, think it was on 11sport about 5 years ago

Yes I went to a play off few years back v tarnow, it was a last heat decider to stay in extraleague,the noise from the crowd as the green light came on for final heat was something else,couldn’t hear the bikes,it was a 5-1 to falubaz and the stadium went nuts, never experienced anything like it

The tank has to breathe so there is a hole in fuel cap and the vibration of the engine makes a bit of fuel come out that hole when tank is full, some fuel caps have a bit of pipe some don’t, it doesn’t go back in tank
