  1. Wow factor needs imagination , the three stadiums Toruń gorzow and Łódź are very basic in design, if you look a Toruń it is basically a roof put over concrete steps and the gap in between is just blue and yellow boards but what a place, BV is far superior in quality of build but doesn’t even compare in wow factor as Toruń
  2. It’s not envy, I just feel with a blank piece of paper and the money spent it is very underwhelming, it doesn’t say wow when you see it , take a look at Łódź new stadium, it’s fairly basic in design but looks amazing,, I think Ipswich since they had the extra stands because it reminds me of a bowl like odsal
  3. I did, it cost me a fortune over 20 years but I didn’t care, I just wanted to race speedway and being in a team was fantastic, I had some really crap deals financially like at Berwick but I didn’t care I loved every minute, to me there are things in life that money can’t buy and winning races for your team is one of them, I came into speedway with nothing, left with even less but those memories are worth a million
  4. Me, great track but stadium does nothing for me, hence the only time I go is when I’m working there either mechanic or other job, think I’ve been once just to watch
  5. Łódź stadium is only slightly bigger capacity than Belle vue and is rarely over half full but has that wow factor about it, Belle vue is nice but no wow about its design, a speedway stadium should be like a gladiatorial arena, it should make you feel part of it and Belle vue doesn’t capture that although I will say it’s better on the back straight than in the seats
  6. Now is the time for the uk to go it’s own way, take a step back, change the sport, appeal again to its working man’s audience again, stop trying to be something it isn’t, it’s apeal has always been its rawness it’s connection to its fans , change the engines, stop lining the pockets of the tuners, nothing is gained by the pursuit of speed in our sport, there was a quote in the polish section of the SS a couple of weeks ago where a guy said polish speedway has lost its soul and as much as I love polish speedway it’s true it has, the balance has tipped in favour of business, when we finally get through this covid crap, the world will have changed and if people think speedway will just pick up and carry on as normal then they are in for a shock, now is the time to change the sport for the better, I honestly believe poland won’t be far behind us
  7. I always felt that with the NSS they had a blank piece of paper and that’s the best they could come up with ? When you see something like Toruń or gorzow or even Łódź which are very basic in design but very effective and creates their own atmosphere even when you walk into them when they empty they give you a sense of a special place ,the NSS doesn’t do that,
  8. So sad to see the pictures of rye house track being ripped up, loved racing there, was always well prepared, another one gone
  9. Been to lydd today for a skid, crashed in my first ride, oh how I’ve missed that winded feeling, then the rain came and that was that, happy days
  10. Some do recycle it, they put it in the chain oiler after it’s been dropped from engine, some don’t
  11. This is a strange one to many but not so strange to many who have ridden speedway, since Kevlars have been around and they get washed so much in the washing machine they seem to hold the washing powder smell, when you walk in to the changing rooms before a meeting that smell of freshly washed Kevlar is very strong, also if you walk into a riders workshop it smells of speedway especially if you’re not used to it, I love going in workshops because they all have a sort of story to tell, like something writ on the wall or something insignificant but you know it means something to that rider, I’ve been in some amazing workshops and I find them fascinating and they all have that speedway smell
  12. Me too, I’m fed up with this one for the future line or to gain experience, you’re in a competition to win
  13. They also beat poland at Bydgoszcz a couple of weeks ago with 6 man teams
  14. Professional Sportsmen and their teams are exempt from quarantine unless they test positive
  15. Then ban dirt deflectors they have never done a damn thing anyway
  16. Being rained off is the only storm that KK will be involved in
  17. Gorzow need to get their bike set up changed and quickly, they look off the pace, I noticed the dirt up against the kickboard before heat 1, it looks liked they bladed the track of its dirt, might of been done cause of the weather but looks like slicker than what gorzow were expecting, hope gorzow can at least make a match of it
  18. Is it 25% everywhere in poland ?? I saw a post listing tracks where it was and leszno wasn’t on there
  19. More to do with the engines they use than the rider now but last year we had a falubaz rider over at Wolves and he was shocked of how deep the dirt was on the corners as in poland the tracks have barely any dirt, it took him 2 rides to get a full skid on, riding in Britain should be a must for any rider to learn how to ride a technical often rough track, anyone can go fast on s billiard table of a track
  20. Bewley showing some big names up here, knuckling down and attacking a grippy track
  21. I stopped the conversation by saying you should know what you’re talking about before making accusations, you know nothing about if I or my family are in a vulnerable situation, you just assumed I was taking a slot of a vulnerable person or persons ,I am not going to use my personal or my family health situation on this forum to justify or make a point, that’s why I stopped the conversation there
