Good to see a couple of teams will be represented at this weeks speedway show, maybe me calling them out for not doing it has pricked their conscience but then again it’s the bspl members and they are oblivious to what’s going on in the speedway world let alone what I dribble out

My service is 24 hours but very rarely gets used, make no mistake promoters and riders run this sport for themselves, riders more so, until the customer and credibility get put to the front of that pecking order we will fail

And right there is the bspl arrogance, 5 teams is a joke,supporters don’t want it, just go one league, I’m convinced we are at rock bottom but the bspl keep coming back to show there is still further we can fall, I’m also convinced the bspl is broke financial and what you see on their balance sheet every year is the bond for each track

Then I urge all the promoters do what’s best for their business and come march no fans turn up anywhere at any track and see how that business works, the fans are number 1. My business which is as successful as I want it to be is so because I see what the customer requires and I deliver that service and they all require different service,customers are the be all and end all of any business, without them you don’t have a business

With that attitude you should work for them, the point of speedway and therefor the most important people are the fans, without their money the bspl doesn’t exist, every decision should be made to please the fans

So is the AGM taking place on Wednesday or not or is it January ? They certainly not giving anything away, it’s like the bloody mason’s with all their secrecy

If it has a market then it’s certainly worth a try, my viewpoint has always been that modern technology is drawing people away from real things like speedway especially the riding side, it always infuriated me when I hear kids or adults saying oh I played this game and it’s graphics are sso good its just like the real thing, no it isn’t it could be further from the real thing, I want to get these people, put them in their gaming chair and stand behind them with a baseball bat and wait till their car or bike goes off the track and then beat them with the baseball bat, that’s what the real thing feels like 😂

Got to honest here and I suppose I’m showing my age even though I’m not old, apps don’t really float my boat, my phone has the bare minimum apps on it and most of those are used for work, what’s app, bank and Waze being 3,I’m not on twatter or instagram or TikTok or any of those apps, I do use FB but that’s more for buying and selling and do have or accept any friends on there,I don’t use any speedway apps at all and wouldn’t if one was created, I guess this is not really aimed at me though, I like to live my life in the physical world and just don’t get the fascination with them

I agree with this although wolves alway did alright in their Monday race night but even I preferred back when they rode on a Friday

Yes I know an amatuer rider who has this and he has his own FB page and if you didn’t know him you would think he was a real superstar and he has been riding about 30 years and still rides in novice class at amatuer meetings

There is very little discipline in speedway with regards to riders and their demands, they ultimately push the price of things up themselves with vanity and the pursuit of speed and expect the fans to pay for it, does zmarzlik go to the FIM and say I want this much £ to ride in the GP ? No the FIM say this is what it is like it or lump it and this is what British speedway and polish speedway need to adopt, I’m frankly staggered what riders get these days compared to 20 years ago, then it was just the top riders, now it’s every top dick and Harry gets it, I don’t like to single out anyone because it’s a collective problem but I saw 1 rider selling a complete set of rear sprockets,half of them never been used because he wants a new different colour next year, that is pure vanity but he will argue how much the cost of things have gone up and demand more money/deals next season and ultimately promoters will give in and then the next does it and then the promotion has to put the price up to pay for it, I know it’s the GP at the moment but something I see and just think wa***er is the hat stand in the pits with 4 helmets on it or the little fridge for their cans of sugar in it, really ????

Bspa fees including ref , paramedics, rent for stadium, insurance , that’s a good chunk of that £5000 left over

Yes and who ultimately is paying the high admission prices for these vans/bikes ?

When people on both sides of the fence are owed money after the season has finished then clearly we can’t afford it

British speedway can’t afford it, it is broke and the fans can’t afford it either

No disrespect to Francis gusts but him getting bikes,a van and mechanic provided by Oxford just about sums up everything wrong with the finances of British speedway

I think what we seeing now is the result of years of neglect finally coming to a head, I do feel abit for the bspl for the current situation that we find ourselves in but then I think this is of our own making

It did make me smile when I read Alex harkess in the speedway star saying why does an amateur sport like ice hockey get 3 times the crowd that a professional sport like speedway gets ? Describing speedway as a professional sport 😂

From what I hear we can’t afford that

And that benifits who ? Not even the hard core fans of the top 5 teams want a league with 5 teams or even 6 teams if they could pull one out of the hat, roll on next Wednesday I can’t bare anymore rumours cause that’s all it is at the moment but I can’t help but feel next season is going to be awful for British speedway at the top level
