There is NO chance of Eastbourne happening,doesn’t matter if we think it’s the best option or it’s scandalous that there is a track not being used it’s not happening end of story, it has been tried on numerous occasions since it closed and this year is no exception,Peterborough being asked is just one of many desperate measures that have been asked and believe me some ideas have been ridiculous, at this point it’s what’s possible not what we would like,

It’s more than money, it’s owned and run by 2 former riders and they still don’t want it, tells you it all really, there is a family dispute in the background and until that’s resolved it’s going nowhere and even if it was just about money who in their right mind is going to pay someone else’s debts off just to start from scratch, that’s financial suicide

I’ve spoke to 2 former promoters recently who have looked at it and have both said the same, it’s too much money with no gaurentee of a fan base

Again nothing is going to happen there in the near future

Anyway we have 9 days to wait to find out what shambles is being presented to us to part with our money, I’d like to say I can’t wait but that isn’t the truth

Newcastle doesn’t have a track anymore,Skegness has failed once because of low crowds and isn’t it tarmac now ? Eastbourne is I believe a family feud on top of money owed from last promotion and sittingbourne as in Kent doesn’t have a track anymore,sittingbourne as in iwade does but premier league status, there are a few stock car tracks scattered around but are tarmac, one of the tracks I mentioned is Rye house, we all know the situation there but I have heard snippets from a couple of people,don’t know if that would happen in time for 2026 though

I genuinely think the cost of Northampton is issue there, the money being banded around is £150,000 with no gaurentee of a crowd, that’s a big cost and a gamble for someone with money and no tolley isn’t interested

And this is the reality, at least 2 ongoing possible situations are at the mercy of courts and could be years away, at least another 1 is at the mercy of the council and planning, and there is one other that is trying a new approach but getting blood out of stone comes to mind at the moment, so what’s left is mildenhall Bradford,Northampton, iwade, Isle of Wight, who all have up and running tracks but all have issues to overcome, the last option is a championship team running another premiership team, I think it will be 5 with Ipswich

I was told on Sunday that Doyle will be Ipswich no1 ? The people who are running the meetings, Nora doesn’t have any rules regarding speedway, they have general rules about tracks bikes etc but no rule book regarding the actual race format

Nora doesn’t have a format for any meetings, it is only really the same as acu, it has no say in how a meeting is run, it’s basically a licence and insurance company, they are cheaper and some would say less complicated than the ACU and you find more and more disciplines are turning to Nora because of the incompetence and the price of the ACU
