I have said it for years the national league should go their own way with the blessing of the bspl, ultimately the higher leagues don’t and never have cared for the NL unless there is some sort of financial gain for them, they get jealous of any NL club that has any financial success and set out to penalise that club, the fake outrage when a Nora league was mooted was speedway in a nutshell, our way or no way, the likes of Barry bishop understand the bspl mentality, don’t expect any help because they don’t care

It is possible but I don’t believe Louis would do that, there is definitely beef between the bspl members despite rob godfrey saying they are all friends and they all get along but them not liking each other is a healthy thing if there was an independent body running the sport but there isn’t so it’s to the detriment of the sport

Speedway was a massive sport in my school even in the early 80s, we had a huge 15ft speedway painting on the wall above the science block that was painted by a pupil years before, 2 of my teachers were speedway fans, we had quite a few cycle speedway riders as pupils who raced for the Wednesfield aces and pretty much all of my mates rode it, although we had a couple of lads who dabbled in either speedway or Grasstrack I think I was the only one who went on to actually race it, we also had a few motox riders too,we also had a school classmate who went on to play basketball in America, his name was Spencer dunkley he went on to have quite the career over there ( Wikipedia’s has his career )though but on the whole I would say speedway was massive in my school and although I played football for the school I didn’t really notice that football was really big but maybe I was slightly blinkered by bikes and I have told this bit before but on my last school report it actually said Dean could do a lot better if he learnt that there is more to life than 2 wheels, oh how wrong they were 😂

The fixtures have been released to the clubs, so expect general release soon, some riders seem not best pleased at the gaps in fixtures

Only went outside to the auto jumble briefly on Saturday between 9-10 and although it was peeing down it was packed, inside Saturday was a really good day, lot more people imo than previous years, I did ok, Sunday not so good as is usually isn’t but still did fair, spent more time catching up with my ex team mates than selling stuff and finding out what’s going on in the speedway world, I think it’s a really good social event and another missed opportunity for British speedway, on Sunday Henry cole and his two sidekicks turned up to film shed and buried, well it’s fake, they came set up a fake stall and pretended to buy something of it,filmed it, filmed them having a cup of tea then packed up stall and cameras and left .fake tossers

Fabulous couple of days at the show,made a couple of pennies and hopefully along Jan staechmann, Aiden and Les Collins Buxton, belle vue and Workington and their stands all got speedway out there. Where were the bspl ? Where were speedway futures ? Where were all the other teams, it’s FREE for clubs to have a stand to 1000s of folks, I despair at this sport at times

Well after much grovelling on my knees to the Buxton promotion today I finally have a position at the club, I’m going to be the mascot, hello MR Bull S**t 😂

It’s good to see bspl members all getting along just like Rob Godfrey said 😂

Gutted I didn’t get the Buxton team manager job,,begged and pleaded with them but they turned me down, so I settled for the track to be renamed the Deano Machino arena 😂

Bit injury prone but they just said his average is too high

I think it’s a bit of confusion with the name, they have the same first name

I just spoke to Buxton at the classic off road show at Telford, they say it’s not him who I was told

I wouldn’t be suprised if he did

Ive got 7 bikes and a van and all the riding gear but there isn’t enough werthers origonals or saga holidays to temp me to ride in the leagues again 😂

They can’t afford me these days, my demands are on a par with zmarzlik

None of the above but we need to attract all these riders back to plug the gap in the rider market but I not going say who has been touted as it’s not my place but I’m told he will be having a practice next week so let’s see,I will say he was the last person I thought it would be I wouldn’t be suprised if it turned out to be wind up

If you think Simon lambert has raised a few eyebrows in the national league wait till you hear Buxton’s last signing, when I was told who today I thought it was a joke but apparently it’s happening and he has a fair bit of experience at Buxton

He must of forgotten to mention the gaurentee on top of that then, yes that must be what’s missing

You do realise giving them a pass for their incompetence does exactly that, to be honest I’ve got no skin in the premier game anymore, I will attend more polish matches than premier league this year but that more to do with no home track than the state of the sport,if I do any regular speedway it will be at Buxton, so really I’m sort of past caring what the premier do but whatever the outcome the bspl and speedway futures has treated the fans with absolute contempt and don’t deserve any support

Yes we just need the bspl to remember they have a fan base/customers and to stop stringing us along to a point of folk have lost interest and all will be well in the sport 🙄
