Going on previous promotions from the past and their ideas of wisdom they may go as ackney awks running out of Brafield to tap into the former east London fan base

The prospective promoters are having a meeting with the stadium owners tomorrow, not sure what’s to discuss at this late stage but anyhow they have decided on a team name, wonder how or even if they can bothered to tell us plebs their wonderful news ?

I would like to see a rule implemented where riders have to prioritise the own country as part of their licence requirements and that includes riding in British final and the governing body’s from each country work together for the good of world speedway to avoid clashes

When it comes to social media exposure Northampton and the rest of the premier league could learn a lot from the Buxton promotion, even using catchy slogans like get your backside trackside and tales from the dales

When you take a deep look in to the sport in the grand scheme of things, it actually does ok for itself, with no funding whatsoever and very little sponsorship and media exposer, there are a lot of other sports that get far more of the above and far smaller crowds and are far more in debt but speedway could be so much better than it currently is and that’s down solely to us as a sport

The thought of listening to me babble on about speedway is mind numbing 😂 and the Mrs just agreed with me 😂

This northampton situation is the strangest business model I’ve ever seen annd I know I’m not alone,apart from buster and his digger what is going on ? Were they pushed into making a decision to run by the time scale but haven’t actually secured the finances to run yet ? How do they expect to attract a fan base from the local area when nobody knows it’s actually happening, opening a new sport to an area that’s not really got a history of it and making it a success is hard enough but they seem to be giving themselves the worst possible start to achieve it,
