I think the sport on league level has reached a point of its needs a mechanical overall, it’s becoming more like F1 by the year but a poor man’s F1, the product this year has been very poor in all countries but nothing will change, the sport is run by the riders and the tuners for the riders and the tuners

Was just about to post this too but it’s not just Toruń, Częstochowa and grudiadz have become gate and go tracks too, with the later 2 nobody is riding round the fence like in previous seasons, is it these anlas tyres ? Or is a new shale being used ? Whatever it is it’s not doing polish speedway any favours

I posted about this at the time, pawlicki is bordering on dangerous when he isn’t scoring well but the exclusion of dudek was bizarre, he was still going so didn’t stop the race, the ref stopped the race because he saw what we saw that was dudek getting well and truly stuffed but then excluded him for it ?

Batchelor looks like he riding an engine with an unfamiliar set up for him, he was riding like a novice who’s bike was taking him for a ride and he had no confidence in it ,so given that you have to ask why he was used in heat 15 -

Not that’s it really relevant but my memory of that day was a strangely poignant one, although still riding I was also mechanic for hynek stichuer and we had gone to stay with hynek while going to the czech GP, on the Sunday we went to pardubice track, there were only us there and we were having a drink in the workshops under the pits of which one was formally lee Richardson’s, his stickers were all over the benches and cabinets, we locked up and went for food and we heard the news he had died, it’s was sickening when I think back to it but just felt odd and poiniant that we had been in in old workshop at the time he was killed, as I said not really relevant but reading this thread just reminded me of that day -
The track has quite a large adverse camber on both bends a bit like rye house had making impossible to use the last quarter of the track up by the fence, if you watch Jorgensen in one of his rides last night he had a good outside run but went over the camber and just lost ground, the adverse camber wasn’t always there but has been there for a few years now, not sure why it’s been allowed to happen or if it was deliberate but it places most of the racing focus on the white line which doesn’t make for good speedway, the size and shape does make it a technical track but imo it needs the adverse camber taking out and the racing would be better
