There is considerable size land around wolves and cradley heath/stourbridge but for one reason or another it’s deemed not suitable for speedway or it too expensive to buy and if some is found it’s usually owned by the church and they are just sitting waiting for houses to be put on it and they will literally wait decades for planning, I was stunned to find out just how much land around the West Midlands the church owns, not all over ground either but also councils and councillors are 2 faced liars and say one thing to your face and do something different behind your back and just to top it all off speedway itself does no favours, there is no go to plan/manifest for potential new tracks to resort to when planners what questions answered, and even when you finally get a reply after calls and emails, what they send out is pathetic at best and doesn’t give the answers the planners request

They haven’t officially said anything, the j11 talk was woffinden and adams gossip at their talk in, no land available means the council haven’t got any land to give them free of charge, doesn’t mean there isn’t land available, it is my belief that the desire from the current promotion isn’t there anymore and not for the first time in speedway we have a case of it’s my ball and if I can’t play with it then nobody else can, whatever the situation it needs an official statement stating where we are not total silence

Didn’t seem to care when he rode for wolves either and got sacked when he didn’t bother to catch his flight on one Monday -
Then they should say there is no land available and there is no chance of wolves returning and if anyone else wants to take up the challenge to find some land then go for it, as it is at the moment there are wolves fans who still think we are coming back sooner than later, plenty of gossip going round about various locations but it is just gossip because the promotion have been silent

Anyone remember Wolverhampton speedway ? Feels like it’s disappeared off the face of the planet, no updates from the promotion, total official silence, the odd snippit from woffinden and adams but that’s 5years + away if it ever got off the ground, I think it’s safe to say it’s never coming back unless a new ambitious promoter can be found who really wants it and that isn’t the current promotion, feel like another Cradley situation is happening

Looks like Craig cook gone Leicester, Birmingham dodged a bullet there -
Imo, the best league signing since sayfutinow by Ipswich, the guy is a real racer, over enthusiastic? Yes, but the sport needs the Vinnie foords, as a little side note watching an interview with Peter adams a while back when asked about the sort of rider he would manage he is talking about riders like foord

I have a gut feeling that Craig cook, Ben barker and nick morris all figure in some way in Birminghams plans -

Zagar is a brilliant rider (when he is in the mood) otherwise he takes the money and runs and it’s a lot of money, not what Birmingham need at all, if they looking abroad again they need to look at hard riders like buczkowski or woryna, don’t know if they would come but they are exciting to watch but they still need a number 1 and for what’s available muselak seems the only rider left to fill the gap -

Unfortunately prices are bombing in the classic car and bike markets including speedway bikes, 2 valve Jawas are particularly bad, japs have pretty much halved in price, weslake’s seem to be holding up but have never really been high priced, there have always been dips and highs and it’s definitely a buyers market at the moment but this time I struggle to see where the next high is coming from, the older collectors are dying off and the younger generation are just not interested in classics, in the car market things like pre 1970 cars are not selling as the new collectors couldn’t care less, they think a classic is an escort XR3I or a sierra cosworth
