Anyone who follows polish speedway will be fully aware of the pawlicki brothers, “ getting knocked off “ and getting a rerun
-
Woffinden is a very talented rider and can still turn it on at the top level and he can certainly talk the talk but for me his body language on the bike says he doesn’t really want it enough, his first ride he backed off going into first turn, did a cut back and then basically moved over to let lindgren through, that’s not the body language of a world champion

I read that grudiadz we’re going to struggle to stay up this year because they have a weak team, now that may be right that they will struggle but it’s the big hitters like Doyle and fricke who are letting them down, with those 2 firing this match was for the taking but both look down on power, even when in good positions they are getting passed

That list is still huge and amounts to around £60,000, it stretched back to the 90s, some of the non payers are no longer with us, some have just retired and gone off into the sunset but some are still riding and have no intention of paying, said this before that if any rider has a debt to a speedway van sales at the end of the season then next year they shouldn’t be granted a license till it’s paid, I know a few years ago this was the case with Aussies but not sure if that still the case
-
I can’t speak for all the spares vans but I do know he had an account at one where he was told a person would sort his bills, I think then garrity was injured and when he came back the person did a runner from speedway, leaving the bill unpaid to this day, I believe it was around £900

I don’t think he needs to prove his ability, he is a naturally gifted rider and you never forget how to do it, it’s his off track antics he needs to prove

Garrity for all his sins (and there are many ) comes across as a very personable bloke (cheeky chappie and all that ) and was pretty well liked by the majority of riders but not all, guess that all depended on if you had a run in with him, the people who travelled with him I believe were his family and they were well known for not taking any guff from anyone and were known for causing a bit of trouble, I know there were some promoters/managers in the sport who just didn’t like him and it’s my opinion that those people stunted his progress in the sport despite his obvious talent on a bike by not giving him opportunities that other lesser talented riders seem to get, as I said previously if he doesn’t come back and make a go of it in speedway then I fear the worst for him and I can’t see any other opportunities for him to straighten his life out, does he deserve it ? Well no, speedway doesn’t owe him anything but he won’t be the first rider that the sport has kept out of prison and he won’t be the last, personally I don’t think he will be accepted back but if he is then I suppose we have to give him the benefit of doubt, really hope that he takes the opportunity and it doesn’t bite us in the ass, just to finish, I remember a meeting at Sheffield and after we finished we are in the changing rooms and garrity walked in having had a poor meeting, sat down and said “im going to have rob an off licence on the way home now” we all laughed but looking back who knows

Kings Lynn vs Sheffield - Monday 22nd April
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I was actually going to this as I’m working in the area, guess not now -
Racing against garrity wouldn’t trouble me even knowing what he has done as long as he is drug free however there is another rider who I do think is a worry and certainly makes me think speedway isn’t the ideal occupation for his personality
