There are many reason like admission is too expensive, a collection of stupid rules like doubling up but for me the 2 biggest factors are ,1 we don’t know what we are anymore , speedway has always been a working mans sport a bit like stockcars but it’s trying to be a poor mans F1 and we are stuck somewhere in the middle and don’t know who our fans are anymore .2 there has always been a bond between the fans and riders and for whatever reason it has been eroded away to the point now that it barely exsist , have a read of the Preben Erickson bit in the speedway star this week , it hits the nail on the head , the sport has become a individual rider sport that is focussed and directed at the riders and the fans seem like an after thought but are expected to pay for the privilege ,

i dont care how I come across , all I care about is the future of our sport and at the moment we are driving it in to the ground and quite frankly some the national league riders are the worst for adding to it , until we get real about the problem there is no recovery to the problem , I dont like to name drop because some people dont make their feelings known but if you are a Birmingham supporter you should look closer to home for people who share my views

I dont like to name drop but This is a quote from someone well respected in speedway and has had some input in training young riders , when you hear some of the deals these national league riders ask for it really makes my blood boil , half of them struggle to string 4 decent laps together, they should be greatful there is a league for them to ride in . I totally agree with him

i have also won a fair amount when smolinski won a GP but you will be watched if you keep putting big amounts on

I bet £25 on bomber to be world champ at 150-1 a few years ago and they had to verify half the bet , I guess they think either Im nuts or some dodgy betting going on but they are not stupid , you place a big bet on anything and they are all over it

sad to see the SWC go , for me its the best competition the sport has left

and they and the bspa have been crucified by the fans for it

i just spoke with Adam , he said he hasnt took the job yet as he will have to give up racing and he isnt sure he is finished as a rider , so he has some thinking to do

Looks like sqora is going to be new zielona gora team manager , he did mention to me when he was last over here he was at one point going to be a youth coach there because of his tie up with zengota but the TM position has become available

So it seems the way forward for speedway is to pay riders more money so as they can pay for their mortgage and keep buying the latest accessory for their bikes (well who doesnt want coloured spoke straws ) and to finance this put the admission price up for fans in the hope that all the fans that dont go anymore because they think its too expensive will see the error of their ways and return , its a genius plan cant believe I didnt think of it myself
