  1. The soul of British speedway is back, it’s a stain on the history of this British speedway that it was allowed to close in the first place but it’s back and we move forward, good luck to all involved up in them there hills
  2. The reason Buxton closed was because the likes of cradley and Kent and others were paying stupid points money to riders to ride in the national league and Buxton simply couldn’t do that and it became impossible to field a competitive team, until the last couple of seasons Buxton were pretty much the only team sticking to the pay scales and even when they went over them to compete it was less than half what others were paying
  3. Well that lacked any real excitement, like last night it had the practice day feel about it, hope the final is better
  4. The soul of British speedway is back, should never been allowed to close
  5. Laurence is already involved elsewhere next season,,all to be revealed soon, tolley wants to be somewhere that unfortunately has huge stumbling blocks to overcome and that’s looking unlikely for 2026 so he either has Sheffield or Leicester for 2026 or gives speedway a miss until his desired choice happens
  6. Not me, I’ve spoke out about holta and even some polish riders were not happy about him riding as a pole, I even refused to go to a British final where Rory Schlien rode, in my book when you have represented your country in an official event you shouldn’t be allowed to race for another country, loram and woffinden have never tried to swap nations
  7. and there it goes once again, speedways credibility riding off into the sunset
  8. Why are they putting so much water down, the track is already damp
  9. Looking at the crowd and I use that term loosely, it seems the only nation to send some fans are us
  10. The criticism wasn’t aimed at belle vue it was at discovery and the FIM who clearly haven't learnt any lessons
  11. I think they have got some people out of the pits to sit in the stand to boost the numbers
  12. That may well be the case but until the sport sorts itself out those sponsors are few and far between and it’s not the fault of any one promotion, it’s the fault of the collective, the sport itself doesn’t know what it is or where it’s going, and if speedway doesn’t know how do you expect anyone else to ?
  13. Nobody wants the stars out of speedway including me but we don’t have the money to carry on doing the same thing, they should get the promotion from each team ,get round the table with the top boys and say here is the pot we have which isn’t enough to carry on doing the same how do you propose we go forward ? And let’s here it from the top riders
  14. You would like to think so unfortunately that’s not how either riders or promotors think, when you’re in the sport you are blinkered to the good of the sport, you are sort of carried along with it, it’s not till you step away from the sport you become aware that we are literally peeing money up the wall, I’ve tried to point out recently which the speedway star actually picked up on that we are actually going no faster than 40 years ago but spending £1000s to achieve it, riders just don’t want to hear it or believe it, they are just chasing the next pay check and the tuners and promoters are just feeding their desires
  15. There is radical change next year, heard this from the horses mouth so to speak but they are keeping it top secret, they are not telling anyone outside of the bspl or whatever they are called these days, whatever that means I don’t know but after I heard this and being made to wait it better be worth it, we can’t afford it to be a change of helmet colour
