We left Wolverhampton on Thursday around 2pm drove to Dover to catch 8pm ferry to find Mrs had booked wrong date 😂, sorted that out then drive straight to zielona gora (12 hours split driving between me and Mrs ) where booked a hotel for the night, went to meeting, brought merch from the ZG shop then back to hotel, next day had fabulous breakfast in hotel and then drive to Wrocław where we booked in the radison blue hotel, spent the day in the old town where in a market I found a book I was in so brought it lol and went to GP via an uber and back to hotel again in an uber where we were in the bar with all the travel plus lot, next morning drove to Gorzow, parked right opposite track for free ,again purchased from their shop, after meeting we set off home, stopping in services somewhere mid Germany where we slept for 4 hours and got food then got the 6pm ferry back to Blighty arriving back around 11pm in Wolverhampton, I had loaded my van ready to go to Isle of Wight next morning but it was called off so I went to work instead

I would go as far to say zmarzlik should receive a red card for that,it was a overly hard unnecessary move even if it was his team mate

I’ve just noticed something about zmarzlik’s riding style and where it differs from other riders, on entry to corners zmarzlik is sat on back of his seat with all the weight there over the wheel where others are sat at the front on the tube with all their weight on right footrests

In 2026 they are using a harder compound tyre in the extraleague which will in theory give the bikes less grip so engines will have to get de tuned to get more forward momentum, sounds good in practice and I hope this has been tested out and not just brought in and we have a situation like the solid block fiasco

Well done Częstochowa and to their travelling faithful who made a real noise all night, great atmosphere, I love speedway, long drive home now, one blessing is Isle of Wight is called off on Tuesday so will at least be able to get sleep

£8.14 to get in Gorzow tonight, just tucking in to my polish sausage, loving the build up, crowd buzzing, bikes warming up in background, jeez there truly is nothing like speedway when it’s done right

He always looked faster because nobody does or has ever raced a speedway bike like zmarzlik, there are quite a few riders lighter than zmarzlik, zmarzlik is by quite a distance better than any rider in history, that’s not to say he isn’t beatable and it’s not just in GPs either, the guys will to win in any event anywhere is untouchable

This has been pointed out many times not least of all by Keith hewen even though he was talking about riad racing but the same applies, back in the day Olsen briggs mauger Collins etc they are far superior equipment to the rest of the competitors so they always had an unfair advantage, that is not true today nobody in the field has anything better than anyone else so it’s harder to win a world championship today than it’s ever been even if you think the field itself is weaker
