  1. Zmarzlik read lambert like a book there, every move, every block all while planning his attack on kubera, I have never seen a rider as good as zmarzlik
  2. I think he has recovered now but he had a stroke a couple of months back
  3. Wright hard on lebedevs there, not that we were given the privilege of actually seeing it
  4. That is a fair point and if it was so then yes I probably would of gone, well at least for the Saturday
  5. It was going to be on top of athletics track, it was Alexander stadium not Alexandra palace sorry, got abit confused by name
  6. I hope there is another John postlewhite out there with a vison for the GPs but if we are at BV for the long run how do we attract the missing 1000s to belle vue ?
  7. Not hard enough, backs out to many times, he was better than kubera when they were at leszno but kubera cracked on and smektala went backwards, he is on a par with lampart , could win a few races if he gates but nowhere if he doesn’t, Birmingham need someone like buckowski or woryna or even drabik who may not top of their game but you can’t question their effort and at times ruthlessness but would they want to come ?
  8. Pretty much backs up my observation of Sam when I’ve seen him
  9. Anyone know what was the thinking behind FRI/SAT rather than SAT/SUN to run the GPs? Stadium availability? Because surely they know Friday is a hard day for a lot of people if they travelling distance, surely sat sun would of got a full crowd for both or did they just think it willl be sold out no matter when they run it
  10. Or very good accountants, when a company is that big inexperience or incompetence don’t not exist but is regularly used as an excuse to pull the wool over prying eyes, it is my belief that dropping Cardiff was planned a few years before they did,the plan is to get people glued to their TVs not watching live and if you look around it’s working not just in speedway
  11. Possibly but we/speedway have the product and in the grand scheme of things yes it’s not exactly a the greatest product in the world but it’s a product and it does have a market and discovery know this otherwise they wouldn’t bother and if we could negotiate a deal that was at least a couple of million which is still peanuts compared to other sports then we wouldn’t be in the dire financial mess we are now, we are in charge but if you have ever tried to deal with the SCB you can’t even get a call back from them, the appointment of Phil morris is a good one regarding what happens at a track but it looks like he is again is Peter butterworth character in carry on camping doing everything and that isn’t how it is meant to work and it won’t work, many who have tried and many more who will try in the near future know you can’t change the sport from the inside the SCB walls are made of strong stuff and protected by a layer of self interest, just as a side note what happened to the 5 million sky gave speedway back when they started to show speedway ? Well it wasn’t invested in the sport let’s put it that way
  12. Discovery do pay a set fee to teams per month for their coverage although not sure if it’s for whole year or just months of season(think it’s the latter) but it’s not a sniff of what they should be paying for our sport, compared to what they pay other sports it’s laughable
  13. They have to put forward first and clearly nobody put him forward, why anyone would want a badge of honour from that shady lot anyway is beyond me
  14. When I read about the catering problems last night with Mike lemon having to serve behind the bar as Well as his other roles at BV it’s reminds me of Peter butterworth in carry on abroad as the hotel owner doing all the jobs 😂
  15. I agree about Alexandra stadium in Birmingham, it’s really close to me but I didn’t want it there as it would of been just another meeting like BV was but with crap racing thrown in, it needs to be a stadium in a city center like Newcastle, yes there is no speedway in Newcastle but you have 2 tracks with 60 miles and another 3 within 120 miles and I’m sure there is some sort of fan base left from the diamonds, the football stadium holds some sort of rugby weekend festival there which is what speedway needs to be
  16. And that’s a perfect reason to get discovery out of speedway, they couldn’t care less
  17. And while watching it on tv moaning or otherwise continues it will be the death of the sport in the uk but at least the racing will be great eh, which is the whole point I’m trying to make, we have to make people want to go and great racing isn’t it unfortunately
  18. Well the complete lack of understanding of the current financial crisis that is hitting the country by the speedway world is alarming to say the least
  19. There is a huge football field over the road from track, would it have been a massive stretch to hire the field and make some sort of speedway village for the weekend for fans to meet up and socialise,As for where else, there are 100s of stadiums in this country, some located in city centres, these days a lot of stadiums have false floor so different events can be put in there, who would of thought of Cardiff until someone thought of Cardiff ? There was a enquiry into Alexandra stadium in Birmingham before BV but that didn’t happen because from what I understand some of the stadium board didn’t want it,fantastic stadium but again not the greatest area
