Dreadful racetrack

Think you’re missing the point of team sports, the danger aspect is irrelevant , speedway is and has always been a team sport on bikes not a motorcycle sport, hence bikers don’t really go to watch, speedway should be like football or rugby, it is territorial, poland is a classic example of this, the fans support their team and don’t support any other speedway except the GPs in great numbers, they are passionate about their own town/club like football over here

Right there is speedway is run by the riders for the riders, we need to decide are we a team sport or are we a Motox type sport which is a competitor sport not a fan one ? We can’t carry on with this charade posing as team sport when it’s a team sport in name only

Killing team sport using my home town wolves as an example Sam masters rides for Edinburgh .Nick morris rides for Leicester. Ryan Douglas rides for Scunthorpe Steve Worral rides for Poole. Drew kemp rides for Poole .leon flint rides for Berwick, only Luke Becker rides only for wolves, right there is why team speedway has died in Britain, how is anyone new to the sport supposed to follow their club when it’s just a glorified swingers club, speedway has many other issues as why it is dying but as far as team speedway goes this has killed the team concept

I’m sure there were good reasons behind it but you have to wonder why Leszno got rid of smektala and more so kubera and kept Lindsay and pawlicki

Been banging this drum for a few years now, British speedway is run by the riders for the riders and until someone somewhere within the sport realises the fans are the be all and end all the sport will continue to die

Professional team speedway in Britain is finished, it’s the greatest sport on earth but the lack of will to treat its issues and it has many are just killing the sport

Freddie Jacobsen has proved quite a signing for grudziadz

Look at it this way the sport is littered with riders who quit then went on to be injured or killed doing other things, life is for living, if you still can then why not

That’s not how the mind of a racer thinks, once a racer always a racer and when the age of reason hits the reason side of the brain is often over ruled by the racer bit

I think pawlicki has reached the point Pedersen was at a few years ago, pedersen has matured a bit and although hard doesn’t seem desperate now pawlicki is desperate and dangerous

Who is RR for in Grudiadz team and where are the ultra fans on the 4th bend ? Stand is completely empty

Zmarzlik clearly didn’t like that track but put 3 good heats in his first 3 rides, pretty much putting him the semi and put in good 2 first corners when it mattered and it’s job done, stretches his world championship lead

A couple of heads have dropped cause of track surface and a few others are settling for safe places after 1st corner rather than chasing the win, can’t blame them really but it’s meetings like this that make a world champion

Couple of weeks back Piotr pawlicki was using someone else’s bikes at Lublin , it looks like smektala is using the same bikes tonight

I think the sport on league level has reached a point of its needs a mechanical overall, it’s becoming more like F1 by the year but a poor man’s F1, the product this year has been very poor in all countries but nothing will change, the sport is run by the riders and the tuners for the riders and the tuners

Was just about to post this too but it’s not just Toruń, Częstochowa and grudiadz have become gate and go tracks too, with the later 2 nobody is riding round the fence like in previous seasons, is it these anlas tyres ? Or is a new shale being used ? Whatever it is it’s not doing polish speedway any favours

Who was the young Dane that rode for gorzow last year ? He had jan o pedersen helping him

I posted about this at the time, pawlicki is bordering on dangerous when he isn’t scoring well but the exclusion of dudek was bizarre, he was still going so didn’t stop the race, the ref stopped the race because he saw what we saw that was dudek getting well and truly stuffed but then excluded him for it ?
