Don't know why Pappalaro was missing. Meeting was abandoned after 16 heats with all riders having completed 4 rides. Run Off was required for the final Qualification Place.

Still waiting to hear from Bob on how the riders briefing went.
-
Riders have been sent away and told to reconvene at 5pm (4pm BST) for a briefing. If it doesn't go ahead today they (I presume they means the FIM and the Gorican Club) are talking of running tomorrow at 9am. Rain never eased all night and is currently heavier than yesterday. Oddly enough, it's the first rain-off in 29 meetings.

Riders Briefing has been called for 7pm Local Time to decide what happens. Still pouring down though at Gorican.

Thank You. Darn that Google Translate Nonsense!!!

Live Updates from the Gorican Qualifying Round can be found here: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ind&action=display&thread=6442 It does look like this won't go ahead though as the 1pm practice was cancelled as was the 2pm and 4pm practices. FIM Jury are insisting if there's no practice then there's no meeting as 6 of the field have never ridden there before. The Club say they are happy to wait until 10pm if necessary.

Check the torrent sites out a day or 2 after the GP and it can normally be downloaded. Or some justin.tv streams archive their streams so it can be watched the day after etc etc. -

Wow! Top Danish League Clash
youngy105 replied to manchesterpaul's topic in International World of Speedway
Wasn't it just Paul. It was hands over the eyes stuff at times during the race. Patrick is enjoying his time at Belle Vue and I see no reason for him to move. He's getting all his big track experience in Poland, Sweden and Denmark and Belle Vue is just fine for learning to ride the smaller tracks. -
Really enjoyed watching this meeting and was surprised to see Maciej Janowski and Janusz Kolodziej adapt to the track so quickly. Had to laugh at Wells and A N Other playing Paper, Scissors, Stone to decide on gate positions.

Maybe I'm being slightly biased here but I've been mightily impressed with Patrick Hougaard tonight. -

Wouldn't really see the point in Nicki doing that. He's as good as admitted his World Title has gone and I don't think he really needs the money either. It wouldn't be a bad combination though would it. The 'Pedersen Is A T**d' chant would need to change though should it ever happen. -

Ruthless first lap from Nicki in heat 7 there.
