  1. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW try this link and it should, hopefully, direct you to what you're looking for.
  2. I have this meeting on VCD...if you would like to borrow it and burn yourself a copy e-mail me.
  3. The 73 Final is currently for sale on ebay. Go to http://www.ebay.co.uk and do a search for speedway video...think there is still a few days left on the auction.
  4. Falcace...I have the 73 Eng Vs Swe Final On VCD...take it you are referring to the one where Michanek puts Collins in the fence. Also have the full meeting of the 1993 title decider between the Aces and Wolves. Eng Vs Usa, there is some footage of it on a video by Mike Bennett called Stars and Stripes. This included a documentary on Scott Autrey which included footage from the 1980 test series. As for the other 2 I'm sorry I can't help.
  5. That's a shocker seeing him at BV as he's a UTG (Used To Go).

    Dream Teams

You're right there, youngy. A Belle Vue dream team must be almost impossible. Considering you've left out Eric Langton, Frank Varey, Louis Lawson, Ove Fundin, Ron Johnston, Max Grosskreutz and Cyril Maidment. Another whole team. But then who would you leave out of your team to put any of those in??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Norbold..I put Langton and Varey into My B-Team or Colts as I would prefer to call them. I didn't count Fundin as didn't he only ride half a season for the aces. I completely forgot about Lawson, Grosskreutz and Maidment. I also missed out the Morans, Billy Hamill, Bobby Ott, Larry Ross, Les Collins, Peter Ravn....who do you leave out to put any of them in.
  7. My Uncle, Alan Armstrong, rode at reserve for Middlesbrough in the early 80's. I think he rode for a few other clubs too. I do know he was in the Workington side that was thrased by Crayford, but he doesn't remember much about that meeting (I wonder why...maybe cos he failed to score but then again he wasn't alone). Anyhow I was just wondering did anyone have any funny stories about his speedway days or has anyone got any footage of him riding. If anyone has got footage i'd be more than happy to pay for a copy of it. Thanks

    Old Videos

I have a growing collection of speedway videos ranging from 70's onwards. Some of these include Kenny Carter riding for England and in Individual meetings but not any of him riding for Halifax. The only vid of KC at Hyde Road is the full edited highlights of The 1983 Northern Riders Final, originally broadcasted by Granada, which includes a classic heat involving KC and 'The Mighty Mort'. I do have all of the Aces Of Yesteryear videos and all 5 History Of Speedway videos. For a full list e-mail me at chris@greenday79.freeserve.co.uk I also have the 83 Northern Riders, 2003 Norwegian Gp, Ipswich Vs Belle Vue (2002) and Belle Vue Vs Coventry (2003) on VCD. I'm currently putting the 2003 ELRC onto VCD as well. Hopefully I'll be putting a lot of my speedway videos onto VCD so then I can sell the videos on ebay.......keep your eyes peeled.
  15. Don't remember match details but it was the first Belle Vue Vs Coventry match of the 1979 season. I was only a babby so can't remember much. The first meeting I remember that sticks out in my mind is the 1983 northern riders final....Belle Vue provided the first 3 with 'Mighty Mort' scoring a 15 point maximum and providing the best race of speedway i've ever seen when he came from the back to beat Kenny Carter. That was what speedway is all about....pure racing:D
  16. I'm sure PC had a hand in making the weslake popular with his magnificent win in the 76 world final
