  1. It's never an easy decision to make to postpone a meeting but, prior to the referee arriving, that is a decision that falls to the Club promoter. We made the decision based on a number of forecasts of heavy rain, which arrived at 12.15!
  2. If you're comparing the Brandonapolis with the Swindon line-up, six riders feature in both meetings. There are five Swindon riders who don't appear at Brandon but of course four more of our own Bees do feature. Kings Lynn riders are ruled out by their Club press and practice. We have two current GP riders, (and four of last season's GP stars), the British Champion, the current Brandonapolis champion and two great entertainers in Zorro and Adam Skornicki. With live pre and post-meeting entertainment, and children's activities laid on I think we have a great evening's entertainment in store!
  3. 1 Scott Nicholls 2 Grzegorz Zengota 3 Michal Szczepaniak 4 Kenneth Bjerre 5 Krzysztof Kasprzak 6 Magnus Zetterstrom 7 Chris Harris 8 Mateusz Szczepaniak 9 Adam Skornicki 10 Tai Woffinden 11 Hans Andersen 12 Ryan Fisher 13 Bjarne Pedersen 14 Linus Sundstrom 15 Lewis Bridger 16 Aaron Summers
  4. It was good to see Havvy in Brendan's pit on Friday offering a helping hand, and then tweeting each other afterwards.
  5. A lovely touch by the SCB with the printed rule-book - it features a picture montage of the late Lee Richardson on the front cover. Brought a tear to my eye when it arrived this morning I can tell you.
  6. Coventry Storm fixtures will be released at 9.00am tomorrow (Thurs 14th February) on the official website www.coventrybees.co
  7. I rang Sky on another matter yesterday and asked about the speedway GPs, to be told not to worry they have their own dedicated channel!
  8. Joe Jacobs IS ready this year - Glasgow Tigers!

  10. This date is subject to confirmation - the continuing bad weather means fixtures are being rearranged day-to-day at the moment. Laurence will post more details as soon as they are available.
  11. Chris is entitled to his opinion without being insulted. As the qualifying rounds are there precisely to enable riders outside the top eight to qualify for the GP series on their own merits, it is a perfectly valid opinion IMO.
  12. The passage quoted by both myself and 'Danish Webmaster' clearly states prior to the start of the season rather than as you say Philip. However Jason's announcement is before the end of this season....
  13. That wouldn't have been the case this year Philip (see extract from Regulations above) is that changing for 2013?
  14. From FIM regs: Should a rider or riders who have qualified directly, either by being in the top 8 of the Final Overall Grand Prix Classification or in the top 3 of the FIM Grand Prix qualification system or who qualified through both systems, withdraw prior to the start of the Grand Prix season, the first rider or riders available on the Official Grand Prix Qualified Substitute list shall replace him or them. Still searching to see how the Qualified Substitute list is made up!
  15. Nigel Pearson has just twittered: @nigelpearson: End of an era... Jason Crump to make farewell #speedwaygp appearance in Torun. Class act.
  16. 1st September 2005 - Peterborough v Eastbourne ELA followed by Peterborough v Eastbourne ELB!
  17. http://www.speedwaygp.com/ The top 8 is now known (unless AJ produces a miracle final meeting AND Antonio has a nightmare).
  18. Chris (Holder) what had you learnt from the first few races? Don't go round Nicki!
