  1. The figures you have quoted are the home guest average for the current (June) GSA - not for the revised (July) GSA. It's a quirk of the way the Green Sheets are presented at the end of a month. Home guest averages are + 5% so Hans' will be 8.14 from 1st July etc
  2. New GSA from 1st July as follows: 1 Hans Andersen 7.75 (8.00) 2 Chris Harris 6.78 (6.61) 3 Michael Jepsen Jensen 6.53 (6.54) 4 Kenneth Hansen 5.85 (5.75) 5 Kyle Howarth d/u 5.10 (4.98) Edit - to clarify, June GSA in brackets
  3. COVENTRY will host local rivals Cradley Heath in the second leg of the Travel Plus Trophy at Brandon this Friday, June 27 (7.30pm). The meeting, originally scheduled as the season-opener back in March, was abandoned after six races and the re-staging date has now been agreed. The tie is evenly poised after the sides met at Monmore Green on April 1 and the Heathens will bring an eight-point lead into the return fixture after a 48-40 win. There was then a dramatic National League clash between the clubs on Easter Monday when the City Gearboxes Storm ran out 46-43 winners, to inflict the only defeat on the Heathens so far in 2014. The Storm have been short of meetings recently and several of their team members are making returns from injury, so Friday’s match comes at a good time ahead of the KO Cup trip to Buxton on Sunday. The Trophy is backed by Travel Plus Tours, whose chief James Easter operates trips to all major speedway Grand Prix and World Cup events. Coventry would like to place on record their appreciation to Cradley for their agreement to Friday’s date.

  5. COVENTRY will not be affected by this weekend’s Grand Prix qualifying semi-finals when they face Poole at Brandon on Friday. The Buildbase Bees’ top two of Hans Andersen and skipper Chris Harris will once again be lining up for their club, having made arrangements to head out to their Saturday events in Croatia and Poland respectively after the clash with the Pirates. It’s a gesture which is once again warmly appreciated by the Coventry management and supporters and underlines the spirit which runs through the team this season. Lower down the order, Bees are forced into changes due to injuries and unavailability. Kyle Howarth attempted a comeback from his weekend ankle injury when Workington rode at Peterborough on Tuesday, but he was only able to take one ride before withdrawing and will not be fit for Friday, with Aaron Summers coming in to guest for his former club. At reserve, Jason Garrity has a prior commitment with Rye House and is replaced by club asset Joe Jacobs, whilst James Sarjeant needs further time to recover from his horror crash with Stefan Nielsen at Brandon last week, and Bees have therefore booked Simon Lambert to replace him. Poole will be without Polish duo Przemyslaw Pawlicki and Maciej Janowski due to the GP qualifiers, on the instructions of the PZM, but Vaclav Milik will be racing at Brandon. Daniel Nermark and Simon Gustafsson will guest for the Pirates, who hope to have Josh Grajczonek back from injury subject to a fitness test later this week. The visitors are led as usual by captain Darcy Ward. My apologies, I misunderstood your post.
  6. Reserves not permitted in Ht 15 - two of top three in averages OR two of top three scorers (incl bonus points) from programmed rides only.
  7. 18.10 FACILITIES a) Absent #1: G or RR b.) 1 Absent Rider (2 – 5): RR c) More than 1 Absent Rider (1 - 5) 1 x RR facility and G for all others d) Absent #6: G e) Absent #7: NL G* f) Absent #6 and #7 Riders: G (for the absent #6) / NL G* (for the other) g) “No Facility”: NL G* NL G*: a Rider eligible for a NL Team who has never achieved an actual PL MA of 4.00 or above
  8. Danny's PL average of 11.18 converts to 6.71, his current EL average is 6.73. SR 17.6 states 'If a Replacement PL Rider also has a current EL MA then the higher of the MA’s will dictate the eligibility', so 6.73 determines his eligibility, and is below Craig Cook's EL average of 7.32. Refer also to: SR15.10 The result of a Meeting can only be amended if: a) the Referee has made an error in the recording of a Heat or the Meeting Results or b.) that a Rider absent from the Meeting and having been given a Facility is subsequently found to have ridden elsewhere in contravention to the Facility so given.
  9. Extract from official PR: “Hans would have picked himself for Heat 15 having only dropped one point but he said he’d sit it out as we’d already won the meeting to give someone else a chance, and you can see straight away that Michael can ride a bike – hopefully he’s going to be a really valuable asset for us.
  10. Looks like evening/overnight closures with diversions http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/road-projects/a47-kings-lynn-bypass-rewaterproofing-resurfacing/ As 'Star Lady' says, there is a safety issue for speedway racing with the hospital being the other side of the closure.
  11. The meeting will be going ahead. Bees line-up already in place and looking good! I'm sure Poole will bring an attractive and competitive team as usual.

  13. An announcement will be made tomorrow I believe.
  14. Coventry pits have a viewing area open prior to the meeting.

  16. Kyle & Hans both ride, Simon Lambert is the guest for Jason.
  17. With respect, it speaks volumes that neither me nor the Club conduct our business via an internet forum. Look on us as a swan if you wish - serene on the outside but working hard out of sight......
