  1. Up to and including the 23rd monthly
  2. Not bizarre Rob, but a quirk of the rolling averages that Ged and I used to good effect when building the original 2019 Panthers team. The same applied to Ben Barker.
  3. You ( I assume Berwick) would need to beat Edinburgh to be sure of qualification as best runner-up. 12 from 6 with a draw would be inferior to Somerset’s 9 from 4.
  4. That’s not the case. Ged made it clear that had a sale of Peterborough Speedway not been forthcoming he would have continued to run the Club himself this season.
  5. The possibility of the Showground authorities allowing that are so slim as to be inconceivable, in my opinion.
  6. Craig Cook should come into the PL from 1st May on a 7.00 average (10.51 CL average / 1.5) - see Art 16.2.5 and 16.2.6d
  7. Not sure it’s harsh, we (Ged and I ) used the situation to our advantage when building the original 1-7 - knowing that Ben and Lasse’s averages would increase on the first green sheets but allowing a strong top end.
  8. That’s my understanding too Dave, and a similar situation applies to Ben Barker.
  9. There has to be a delay in implementing new averages to allow for teams to be declared for meetings, guests booked, programmes printed etc. A new team line-up needs to be at the BSPA for approval 72 hours before becoming valid.
  10. It is possible that revised team declarations have been submitted that have not yet been issued by the BSPA, to take effect prior to 1st May.
  11. As of 1st May the current 1-7 will be just 0.07 under the points limit - http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/premiershipteamissues19
  12. Last year Peterborough went through to the semi-finals from the three team group as 9 match points from 4 matches (2.25) was a better record than the 13 from 6 (2.16) of the other two runners-up.
  13. I can’t answer that - each track homologation differs in its requirements. I suspect that the Showground authorities would be reluctant to have the fence moved in front of the grandstand (or at all) - speedway is only one user of the track and surrounding facilities.
  14. They’re not particularly close, but would be if the fence was moved back. That’s exactly my point!
  15. I was responding to your first post, where you referred to widening on the inside line ‘on the cheap’, by pointing out that there are various permanent Showground fixtures that would have precluded widening the track on the outside - regardless of budget.
  16. The track can’t be widened on the outside because of permanent obstructions outside the fence - such as the grandstand and hospitality areas.
  17. This is all nonsense, as it was when it was raised before. Ged’s account was correct, the first post above is not.
  18. Yes it was, and my dad was the starting marshall. For quite a while my brother-in-law was with us in yellow, and my sister played the music (vinyl in those days).
  19. https://youtu.be/YjG_LavdVpI Note the dapper start-line assistant in blue!
