  1. Pretty much spot on! Birmingham’s old 1-7 was under the 38 point limit - giving them the extra point you referred to above to allow the changes.
  2. That’s right, for example here the PL and CL are professional leagues, the NDL isn’t. Other countries’ structures will have the same distinctions.
  3. A rider with previous professional experience comes in on a 5 point average, otherwise it’s 4.
  4. ? Lower league guests have always been permitted at the appropriate conversion rate.
  5. Which is the situation where a rider competes in both leagues. However there has to be some mechanism to set an initial average for a new rider to a league.
  6. Ashley’s average wouldn’t have permitted the changes to be made.
  7. Because the rules state that a rider uses his most recent MA unless he has an average in both leagues for the current season. Adam Ellis has a PL MA for 1st May 2019 but no CL average in 2019, so would come into the CL on a converted PL average. However, his CL average would then be calculated as a rolling average which would include his 2018 CL fixtures!
  8. Most recent established average unless a rider has averages for both leagues in the same season.
  9. 36.90 http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/championshipteamissues19
  10. Up to and including the 23rd monthly
  11. Not bizarre Rob, but a quirk of the rolling averages that Ged and I used to good effect when building the original 2019 Panthers team. The same applied to Ben Barker.
  12. You ( I assume Berwick) would need to beat Edinburgh to be sure of qualification as best runner-up. 12 from 6 with a draw would be inferior to Somerset’s 9 from 4.
  13. That’s not the case. Ged made it clear that had a sale of Peterborough Speedway not been forthcoming he would have continued to run the Club himself this season.
  14. The possibility of the Showground authorities allowing that are so slim as to be inconceivable, in my opinion.
  15. Craig Cook should come into the PL from 1st May on a 7.00 average (10.51 CL average / 1.5) - see Art 16.2.5 and 16.2.6d
  16. Not sure it’s harsh, we (Ged and I ) used the situation to our advantage when building the original 1-7 - knowing that Ben and Lasse’s averages would increase on the first green sheets but allowing a strong top end.
