  1. As I understood the rules, any lap started within the one minute time allowance could be completed, however the recording appears to be limited to four laps?
  2. And to have more points available for the other five riders at the beginning of the season......
  3. http://www.birmingham-speedway.com/news.php?extend.2804 8th May meeting, Birmingham v Berwick, was rained off
  4. That’s not the case. Neither Peterborough nor Mildenhall were ‘killed’ by Mick, and Coventry only ended under his ownership following the loss of Brandon which led to the unsuccessful season at Leicester.
  5. I haven’t studied the Regulations closely this season (no need!) but IIRC the fine for crossing the infield was in substitution for the exclusions that caused so much adverse comment. Historically a referee fine was deducted from the riders wages, but when exchange money was done away with they became fines from the SCB akin to a parking ticket, and were loosely based on a number of points scored and the assumed pay rate for the rider and league.
  6. In my copy it’s the very next section after the one you quote! (The final paragraph on Page 38)
  7. Certain punishments are now imposed in monetary terms under the SCB Rule Book, see Art 15.3 and Appendix A.
  8. Every track now has a .com domain.
  9. If it was the rain-off programme from last Thursday that’s hardly old........
  10. It may well do, but I’m sure the expectation is that having a strong No 1 will inspire improved performances through the team.
  11. Pretty much spot on! Birmingham’s old 1-7 was under the 38 point limit - giving them the extra point you referred to above to allow the changes.
  12. That’s right, for example here the PL and CL are professional leagues, the NDL isn’t. Other countries’ structures will have the same distinctions.
  13. A rider with previous professional experience comes in on a 5 point average, otherwise it’s 4.
  14. ? Lower league guests have always been permitted at the appropriate conversion rate.
  15. Which is the situation where a rider competes in both leagues. However there has to be some mechanism to set an initial average for a new rider to a league.
  16. Ashley’s average wouldn’t have permitted the changes to be made.
  17. Because the rules state that a rider uses his most recent MA unless he has an average in both leagues for the current season. Adam Ellis has a PL MA for 1st May 2019 but no CL average in 2019, so would come into the CL on a converted PL average. However, his CL average would then be calculated as a rolling average which would include his 2018 CL fixtures!
  18. Most recent established average unless a rider has averages for both leagues in the same season.
