  1. Thursday was an excellent performance given the race-day problems that had to be overcome, and I thought Carl got all the programme changes pretty much spot on. I always try and be fair and reasoned - it's just a shame I don't command the same respect from the new promotion.
  2. That’s not the case as Danny would still have to take three ‘rides’.
  3. Ostergaard, Becker, Morley, Agertoft. You’ve ‘never even heard of one of them’? • Peterborough stalwart for many years • 2019 Wolverhampton rider • 2018 Lakeside rider (did we race then at all last year?) • Agertoft as a CL reserve I accept may be off your radar. Given the timing of the rider withdrawals, and the other fixtures last night - what would you suggest? And no, postponement wasn’t an option.....
  4. Ged sold the Club to Mr Chapman. Ged and I ran the Club on Mr Chapman’s behalf until mid January, than handed it into Mr Pratt and Mr Johnson’s custody.
  5. As we’ve had nothing to do with the Club since January (not even seen a race), the events of this season are nothing to do with us. The Club was handed over with a fine 1-7, good season ticket sales and a complete fixture list - and with every opportunity to succeed this season.
  6. Just leave this here, what a difference a year makes..... http://www.peterborough-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3452
  7. Thanks both, so he’s riding as a no-facility guest - makes sense.
  8. Under which rule is a facility available for a rider failing to arrive at a meeting?
  9. Panthers have ridden nine home meetings, as have all PL Clubs (Wolves and Belle Vue slightly more). Are the other Clubs’s riders unable to invest too?
  10. If the Showground is booked for full-week (or longer) events, the week's rent for the whole Showground will significantly exceed a season's rent from speedway. In that context Sunday or mid-week raceday is irrelevant.
  11. I said that the Showground would not close. I don’t expect that the speedway Club will fold at the end of this season, but its future direction will be dictated by track availability - as Mr Chapman clearly indicated in last week’s press article.
  12. I suspect that Health and Safety has a part in this. It used to be commonplace for tractors and bikes to be on the track at the same time prior to a race, now that’s not the case grading is a longer process.
  13. The fixture is at Kings Lynn, disregard the incorrect thread title!
  14. Appearances for a rider’s own Club play no part in the 8-day rule. For example a rider could appear as a guest at Berwick on a Saturday, ride for his own Club there on the following Saturday, then guest once again on the following Saturday. He could not however appear as a guest on successive Saturdays. There are a couple of exceptions to this rule - if the rider is guesting for the home No 1 or is an NDL rider guesting for the home team.
  15. The 8-day rule only applies to guest bookings, not appearances for a rider’s own Club.
  16. Chris Harris is guesting for Robert Lambert at Kings Lynn
  17. Based on the evidence received and with the support of 2 SCB Officers, the following penalties have been applied -Craig Cook - SCB Registration suspended for a period of 12 days 12th August - 23rd August 2019Claus Vissing - SCB Registration suspended for a period of 10 days 12th August - 21st August 2019Edward Kennett - SCB Registration suspended for a period of 10 days 12th August - 21st August 2019 ...................................... APPEALS have been received against suspensions by both Craig Cook and Claus Vissing. These appeals have been considered by the SCB members and it can now be confirmed that Claus Vissing's is rejected. However, following new information submitted by Craig Cook, his appeal has been accepted and a date for a full SCB hearing will be set.Craig Cook is therefore free to continue racing until the hearing but Claus Vissing's suspension remains in place until up to and including Wednesday August 21.No appeal has been received from the other suspended rider, Edward Kennett. Both from www.scbgb.co.uk
  18. Irrelevant, as... 28th August is correct, so any last minute changes are made using August GSAs
