  1. Art 19.7.4 of the Speedway Regulations: It is mandatory for riders to appear in the NDL 4TT, NDL BP and NDLRC; riders will be suspended from their next 2 Home Meetings in contravention, subject to the Directors confirmation.
  2. Acceptance wouldn't take long. I would expect a professional rider to be ready to ride at all times in case of a guest booking. I believe Ben lives in Essex. Once again, as the why, where, how isn't known it's not possible to draw any conclusions.
  3. Art 18.8.1 - If a rider is representing their FMN in an FIM Speedway Championship, irrespective of the rider’s MA, a choice of G or RR facility is available.
  4. But you don't know the why, where and how any more than me - so you can't assert 'he could have been there'. Anyway - would you lend Jason a bike............. :-)
  5. What you know from Ged and I is factual, from face-to-face discussions - and you can be sure that should you misquote us we would let you know! I never really saw myself as enigmatic - more diplomatic......
  6. That would very much depend on when, where and why - and I won't comment on this particular case. However, in some cases it might be possible to rent a replacement van, or double-up with a team-mate (or opposition rider!)
  7. Thursday was an excellent performance given the race-day problems that had to be overcome, and I thought Carl got all the programme changes pretty much spot on. I always try and be fair and reasoned - it's just a shame I don't command the same respect from the new promotion.
  8. That’s not the case as Danny would still have to take three ‘rides’.
  9. Ostergaard, Becker, Morley, Agertoft. You’ve ‘never even heard of one of them’? • Peterborough stalwart for many years • 2019 Wolverhampton rider • 2018 Lakeside rider (did we race then at all last year?) • Agertoft as a CL reserve I accept may be off your radar. Given the timing of the rider withdrawals, and the other fixtures last night - what would you suggest? And no, postponement wasn’t an option.....
  10. Ged sold the Club to Mr Chapman. Ged and I ran the Club on Mr Chapman’s behalf until mid January, than handed it into Mr Pratt and Mr Johnson’s custody.
  11. As we’ve had nothing to do with the Club since January (not even seen a race), the events of this season are nothing to do with us. The Club was handed over with a fine 1-7, good season ticket sales and a complete fixture list - and with every opportunity to succeed this season.
  12. Just leave this here, what a difference a year makes..... http://www.peterborough-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3452
  13. Thanks both, so he’s riding as a no-facility guest - makes sense.
  14. Under which rule is a facility available for a rider failing to arrive at a meeting?
  15. Panthers have ridden nine home meetings, as have all PL Clubs (Wolves and Belle Vue slightly more). Are the other Clubs’s riders unable to invest too?
  16. If the Showground is booked for full-week (or longer) events, the week's rent for the whole Showground will significantly exceed a season's rent from speedway. In that context Sunday or mid-week raceday is irrelevant.
  17. I said that the Showground would not close. I don’t expect that the speedway Club will fold at the end of this season, but its future direction will be dictated by track availability - as Mr Chapman clearly indicated in last week’s press article.
