  1. That’s hardly a like-for-like comparison, one photo is of the main home-straight stand at Peterborough, the other of the third bend at Brandon.
  2. It does, I meant to say SGB rather than SGP - original post edited.
  3. Indeed, although the SGB website still refers to ‘BSPA Contacts’!
  4. Racing Licences are issued by the SCB, not the BSPA
  5. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000h8g3 On Radio 4 now, The Untold tells the story of Ronnie Russell's heroic act and what has happened since.
  6. I’m simply basing my opinion on the fact that the rule refers to 25% of the League fixtures not 25% of a Club’s fixtures.
  7. As planned, the PL season was scheduled to be 168 matches, so the transfer window would open after 42 matches across all clubs and close after 126 matches. Clear isn't it?......
  8. The 2020 Rule Book is now available to download http://www.scbgb.co.uk/request.php?8507
  9. After a few issues the stream now appears to be going ahead - enjoy!
  10. I understand the Peterborough v Newcastle meeting will be available to view via Tapes Up Productions after the 19.30 performance.
  11. If tonight's session is a success it is hoped to show more meetings, and care will be taken to avoid clashes if at all possible.
  12. Tapes Up Productions with thanks to Ged Rathbone and in association with Motive Car Accessories present full coverage of the 2018 SGB Championship fixture between the Peterborough Panthers and the Newcastle Diamonds - from 19th May 2018. If you would like to sponsor our next Facebook Premiere, please contact Tapes Up Productions for details of available meetings. https://www.facebook.com/tapesupproductions/videos/1294379284286403/
  13. I would imagine he's going home to Denmark to his family while he can
  14. Hans Andersen has just posted on Instagram ‘unfortunately there will be no racing this time around, speedway is on hold for an unknown period of time’; with a picture of a deserted check-in area.
  15. Apologies, the first link I posted was only part of the advice, see https://politi.dk/en/corona-virus-covid-19-in-denmark Extract: Effective today and for a period of one month, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark advises against all non-essential travel worldwide. This advice thus covers the period from 13 March until the end of the Easter holiday, Monday 13 April. The ministry has thereby changed its travel advice for all of the world to an “orange” risk classification or higher (“red”). “The top priority of the Government is the safety and security of Danes. Therefore, we are sending a clear message and advising against all non-essential travel worldwide. The message to Danes is clear, simple and serious. You should refrain from travelling unless it is absolutely necessary. If you are already abroad as a traveller, you should return home as quickly as possible,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Jeppe Kofod.

  17. I think that decision will be taken out of your hands on Tuesday Mike. Love to you both
  18. Two home/two away in the Premiership, one home/one away in the Championship and NDL, and cancel the other competitions and fixtures?
  19. From Monday all large gatherings above 500 people with the potential to impact the emergency services should be cancelled to prioritise the Covid-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. The First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced the action in Scotland to protect the resilience of the emergency services until the impact of the virus has lessened substantially. Managing large events safely can require a significant commitment and planning from the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services, as well as others such as the voluntary sector. At a time when there is severe pressure on emergency and public services as a result of the virus, cancelling such large events will free up vital resources to focus on dealing with the outbreak. Guidance on how this action will impact events will be produced before Monday. The First Minister said: “Event organisers should take action now to help our emergency services deal with the scale of the challenge we face with coronavirus. “Our frontline services are doing a fantastic job but they are already under pressure, which will increase as the number of cases in Scotland rises. “The emergency services are well prepared to deal with this outbreak but mass gatherings, such as large football and rugby matches as well as concerts, can have a significant impact on emergency service resources. “Removing unnecessary burdens on our frontline workers is the right thing to do so they can prioritise their response to where it is needed most.”
  20. I’m happy to say that many Promoters across all leagues are pleased to welcome me to their track.
  21. I’ve always posted under my own name since I joined the forum some 16 years and around 1800 posts ago.
  22. I can’t say, because I have never been given a reason. Following the 2018 AGM I was asked to continue as a Promoter under Mr Chapman’s ownership. In January 2019 for various reasons I decided I would not apply for a licence for the 2019 season and advised Mr Chapman accordingly, and handed all the Club admin I held over to the new owners in good order (and have been publicly thanked for doing so). It’s usual for former Promoters to be welcome as guests at their Club (I’ve been Promoter at Peterborough on three different occasions of course) but that was denied me, as was the ability to pay at the turnstiles.
  23. My post on February 19th read: ‘I had a discussion with one of the management team from Peterborough Speedway today. I have been advised that there will be no change to the new arrangements outlined in the Club press release of 28th January (http://www.peterborough-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3747). Thank you to all who signed...’ I don't see how that could be any clearer. If the Club press release is 'neither clear or has good reasoning' that's something to take up with them, not me. You are missing nothing, I am still dissatisfied with the situation but as it was made clear that the decision would not be changed, despite the management being fully aware of the petition's existence and the 180+ signatures, the petition was closed. I assume you meant me rather than NKI..... The new arrangements would affect me greatly if I were permitted to attend meetings at the Showground and I know of a good number of others that will be prevented from attending by the change. My approach to the issue didn't demand the new policy be dropped, but simply asked for alternative arrangements to be put in place to recognise the particular needs of disabled fans and Blue Badge holders. Despite the numbers that supported the petition, and the very personal and moving statements made by a number of fans, it seems that won't be the case. I would add that I don't believe that the Club would be so unprofessional as to condone 'Speedster15' posting on here ostensibly on their behalf, and wonder if they in fact know that it is going on.
