It’s not just you.....

Tom has ridden two seasons in the Championship, the NDL isn't classed as a 'professional league'.

Tom Bacon is a Peterborough asset and graded 4*, Jordan Palin is neither.....

Correct, my point is that the conversion factor is 1.6, not 60% as you stated. CL average multiplied by 1.6 to get PL average, PL average divided by 1.6 to get CL average (or whatever the factor is, maybe 1.5) Posted before I read down to THJ's post -

The conversion in that case would be 8 * 1.6 = 12.8, (or 8 / 1.6 = 5 CL to PL), however that may be a moot point given THJ’s post above. -

If he’s an 8 I agree, if he’s 8.2 with a 1.6 conversion.... Maybe we’ll get the averages and rules soon :-) -

If that’s correct it makes a mockery of any conversion factor for doubling-up or down. -
Would Wilbur Hancock meet the criteria for a work permit?

It's the last achieved average in either league that's used, converted as necessary
-
Taken from this article Jason Crump would have started 2020 on an 8.20 average. Bjarne Pedersen's last EL average was 6.91. If the conversion rate is 1.6 the averages convert to 13.12 and 11.06 respectively, if the conversion is 1.5 as mooted on this forum those averages become 12.30 and 10.37. With an overall team average of 39 or 38 points for the top six, and the top two taking up 24.18 or 22.67, that would leave 14.82 or 16.33 for the other four riders. If these figuresare confirmed there will be great pressure on Crump and Pedersen to score big points every meeting.

Bjarne rode in the Elite League for Poole in 2016.

That's correct, no mid-season change. Like you, I assume it stays at 1.6 for 2021 although I've not seen it written anywhere -

I expect he'll get a team place much closer to home.......

I can’t speak for the current rules, but the teams certainly used to be confirmed well before a meeting. In the case of late injuries etc teams could still be changed of course.
-
This may have been the case some years ago, but a few seasons ago a system of pre-validation of line-ups was introduced which prevented any issues persisting until race day.

Peterborough’s stadium is used by many other events through a normal summer, attracting crowds of many thousands. -

The forthcoming AGM may introduce new team-building rules and procedures....

John, your confusion may be because one of the key parties in the Mildenhall noise saga is a gentleman by the name of Dave Coventry. This explains the references to ‘Coventry’ which have no relation to the speedway Club, formerly of Brandon Stadium.

You are correct It seems the original link I found was incorrect or incomplete.
