  1. Fair enough, I understand better what you were saying now and I'm sorry if I was a bit sharp. However current form has no immediate effect on a riders average, although it will enhance his rolling average eventually. I don't know why Drew Kemp doesn't have an average when he's completed more than the required 4 home and 4 away meetings, I'll ask the question!
  2. You’ve already said that, but however many times you repeat it it’s still nonsense
  3. Statistics such as these are purely for information, and to give some indication of current form. They are NOT the official averages that govern our sport which are the Green Sheets (GSAs) that appear on the Speedway GB site.
  4. I’d say he couldn’t guest in the PL - the regulation states: Rising Star riders can only compete in 2 leagues at any one time. although that phrase is open to interpretation…..
  5. Ignoring the majority of your post which is ill-informed rubbish, no doubt posted in an attempt to look clever - Jason Crump’s PL average is 8.00 and Sam Masters’ average is 7.52.
  6. I’ve posted many times recently that team line-ups are agreed in advance by both teams, the referee and the governing body - by definition a declared team line-up is correct.
  7. When Hans Andersen is declared into the team line-up, Proctor and Bates will be removed and an eligible rider with an average of 4.01 or less will be declared; that rider will then be replaced by Kennedy in a new declaration as soon as he is available.
  8. Yes he would http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/risingstars21
  9. Mmmm. King’s; civvies; must have got… I’d think twice before criticising others for spelling mistakes :-)
  10. Plus the 1.54 points Leicester are currently under the 39 point limit (as they have a 1* Rising Star). Current averages: Douglas 8.59 Morris 8.41 Howarth 6.99 Bates 6.05 Proctor 5.42 Dan Thompson 2.00 Total 37.46 Bates 6.05 + Proctor 5.42 + 1.54 = 13.01 Hans Anderson would come in at 9.00, leaving 4.01 for the other rider
  11. That might have been an exciting race - no way of telling from that footage.
  12. That’s correct. The way averages are calculated is all laid down in the Speedway Regulations http://www.scbgb.co.uk/regulations (Chapter 10)
  13. The meeting was cancelled at 6pm without a wheel being turned - heavy rain at 3pm and the track work was in vain.
  14. Let’s hope that from 19th July all the restrictions are removed and everyone can go back to paying at the turnstiles - problem solved. I’ll look out for ‘uk_martin’ in shades and camouflage trying not to be seen :-)
  15. I understand his complaint, and I don’t profess to have a detailed understanding of data protection and credit card security. However if the only issue is that his name appears on a seating plan I don’t see the problem. If he arrived at the track and was greeted as ‘Mr Smith’ (I can’t use his correct name as he posts here under a pseudonym) would that cause outrage? If there was a written seating plan in the restaurant with ‘Mr Smith’ appearing on it would he tear it down in disgust? I repeat my earlier questions, has he contacted the booking company or the Club to discuss the issue - or is it just an opportunity to pursue an old vendetta? Frankly I think it’s a great idea publishing names, as if I was attending Birmingham he’s the last person I would want to sit next to :-)
  16. The averages in the Speedway Star are meaningless, except as a guide to current form. The 'Green Sheet' averages that can be found at http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk under the relevant League tab are the averages used to dictate team changes and positioning. Currently Eastbourne's averages are (with effect from 1st July): Lawson 8.77 Kennett 7.96 Kerr 7.57 Brennan 5.92 Newman 5.41 Kemp 3.58 Edwards 2* RS (no attained average) Team total 39.21 Zane Keleher moves to Plymouth on the same 4.00 average that he holds at Poole. If Edward Kennett's average fell to a figure that placed him sixth or seventh in the averages then he would ride at reserve.
  17. From the Club website: Track Record: 57.4 seconds, Danny King (Ipswich) - Heat 3 Peterborough v Ipswich 13.05.19
  18. Plymouth have swopped their RS position to Bowtell, with Ruddick now in the 1-6.
  19. It’s Chris Harris at reserve, by a margin calculated to 4 decimal places!
  20. Plymouth have done exactly that with Ruddick and Bowtell in their new declaration today.
  21. I don’t expect the site is guilty of either of those things. I think it’s clear that you don’t wish to use the site, which is your decision, but your negative scaremongering isn’t helpful. All Clubs are relying heavily (if not exclusively) on on-line bookings for another few weeks - we should be encouraging people to book. Have you raised your concerns with the Birmingham promotion or the booking company - or simply posted repeatedly on here? I’m sure the Club would be happy to set your mind at rest given the opportunity.
  22. It could be Scott that drops down. If two riders have the same average the average will be checked to the nth decimal place to see if they can be split. If the averages are truly identical then the higher placed rider from the previous GSA issue shall retain the higher position. Either way it gives Peterborough another very strong reserve for the rest of July.
