Redcar Vs Leicester 10/09
NeilWatson replied to MartinBSN's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Guests are available at 4 and/or 5 in the averages under certain circumstances. It is theoretically possible to run with seven guests! -
The showground falls into the constituency of Shailesh Vara, the Conservative MP for North West Cambridgeshire. https://members.parliament.uk/member/1496/contact

The Arena is the large indoor event centre to the south of the Grandstand.

Glasgow or Leicester could still top the table if they take every point available to them.

NeilWatson replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
http://www.scbgb.co.uk/news.php?extend.113.1 Following a meeting with the Members of the Speedway Control Bureau this evening, it was discussed that due to the 2021 season has not been disrupted by any further Covid issues, the following Regulation will be reinstated with immediate effect for all three leagues, Premiership, Championship, and the National Development league: 010.3.1 Cut Off Date No team changes will be allowed after the 28th August 2021 with the effective date being the 31st August. Except riders returning to the team after injury who must re-take their position, dictated by their MA, with their replacement being released. -
Peterborough v Ipswich Monday 6th September
NeilWatson replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's still mathematically possible, but it would require Peterborough to take a draw or better at Wolverhampton (as well as 3 home wins and a 4-point win at Sheffield). I would expect Wolves to take Sheffield in the semi-final if they have the choice. -
The Premiership rules are different

SR 10.2.2 doesn’t appear to make any distinction based on ability: Riders new to Championship League racing are categorised as follows: - a) a rider riding in a professional league in a previous or current season will enter on a 5.00 MA b) a rider who has never ridden in a professional league will enter on a 4.00 MA c) a new rider who is eligible to participate in the NDL will enter on a 2.00MA However all team declarations have to be approved by the Directors as being in the interests of the sport.

Sheffield vs Belle Vue 2/9/21
NeilWatson replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You can't. The only change permitted after the cut-off is for a previously injured rider to return to the 1-7 with his temporary replacement leaving. -
Birmingham v Poole. 1st September 2021
NeilWatson replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes, IRR is a thing. A No 8 might have helped Poole as they are using RR - it would be no assistance to Birmingham as a No 8 can only take RR rides (not IRR). -
It would be interesting to see how that rule would be viewed by the Directors should a CL Club try to sign, say, Artem Laguta.

Birmingham v Poole. 1st September 2021
NeilWatson replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The use of under 3.75 average guests was under a 'no facility' facility, any absence now of Basso would attract a normal facility which would be RR if he is the only rider absent. -
Birmingham v Poole. 1st September 2021
NeilWatson replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Or a missing reserve, or one of no 4 & 5 in averages if both are missing. In certain circumstances it is possible to have seven guests if riders are fulfilling official fixtures elsewhere! -
Birmingham Brummies 2020
NeilWatson replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The cut-off point for changes has passed, so unless a change has been lodged with the BSPL but not publicised yet the team will remain the same. -
Any CL average prior to 2021 is irrelevant if the rider has a 2021 PL MA. If Bewley were to ride in the CL he would use his PL converted average as the latest achieved MA. The same would apply for a 2021 CL with an old PL average.
-
Danny King’s average from 1st September rules him out home and away. There are few options for guests for the play-offs if a signing doesn’t materialise.
-
Midnight tonight, effective 31st August. There could be a number of changes across both leagues that have been declared to the BSPL but not announced publicly.
