Probably the most stupid thing I’ve ever read. You don’t like him fair enough but to say his injuries are self inflicted is idiotic. By that reasoning all speedway injuries and deaths are self inflicted, because everybody bullies be it first bend or any other part of the track, it’s called racing. it’s desire to win that’s why he is a world champion.

Tai’s Charity work goes further than you think. It’s what you don’t see that counts more than what you hear or read about. A lot of famous people do lots of untold work for G.O.S.H.including regular visits to wards, donating items for raffles and competitions etc and don’t wish to publicise this. And I do know this for a fact because my daughter works at the hospital. In everything there’s always bad things/people attached to fund raising. Ego trips or just to get some headlines. Best ever arguments/opinion run on forever that’s the beauty of them.

Thanks mate but I booked a train to torun.

My first Torun gp. Doing a pretty unconventional trip but flying into Bydgoszcz and flying out of Warsaw next day But with ticket , flight and train only cost £56 it’s incredibly good value. Where do people normally plot up before the meeting during the day ?

Can’t remember the year. Hackney v Poole top of table clash. heat 15 scores 42 all. Galvin , schoefield v Boyce and Langdon. I think someone recorded something like 15passess in 4 laps. Unbelievable race Poole got a 4-2 to win the match. -

Loving all the ex world champions and esteemed keyboard riders on here commenting that Tai should have slowed down to block Emil. -

Thanks for your reply. I’m willing to hire a car or get a train from a match to Krakow. I’ve looked at google maps etc for distances and I know some are about 4 hrs drive or more. But if there’s like a derby match or a team with unbelievable experience then I’m happy to travel.

World Cup Final 2nd August 2014
rocketrod replied to mickthemuppet's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Perspective check...The top 3 tonight are the best in the world, and you would expect them to be top 3 every year. The rest of the speedway nations that compete are really only ever gonna fight for the last place in the final, tonight that was G.B so in reality getting there is an achievement in itself.Ok tonight we were well behind, but you cant say that the team or manager let anyone down,On the whole it was a good campaign. And an improvement on last year The real test is going forward and pushing to be in the top 3, Progress for me too ,i've just realised how to take the underline off my text -

I'm thinking we should embrace the Nige and Kelvism's in a game of Grand Prix Bingo.... So members of the forum send it say 16 Nige and Kelvism's my contribution is "Greg Herbie Hancock".."How On Earth Did He Stay On The Motor Bike" We put them all on a bingo type card, and one by one during a grand prix we tick them off until we get a full house and reward our smugness with a beverage of our choice, hot or cold, alcoholic or non alcoholic whatever you feel is apt. We then branch out to Elite/Premier league bingo on sky..Happy Days -
8 pages of topic because a bloke picks up a rake shows that: 1) Some people have no idea or concept of entertainment values within sport, The last heat dragged on because of crashes, now has anyone stopped to consider maybe just maybe Tai Woffinden was entertaining the crowd during long delays, humour isn't for everyone but I thought it was a bloke stated digging with his foot, thought hang on i'l get a rake and a dog poo scooper and see what I can get away with in front of a crowd and a television audience. 2) Every sport has heroes and villains, but every sport needs both to survive, How many of us are looking forward to the next Zagar/Pedersen race ? 3) We have an English world champion, he might not be in your team , but back him while he's here, looking at the state of British Speedway which WE all follow it's gonna be a long time before we have another Tai Woffinden. Im not a Wolverhampton fan nor a Tai Woffinden devotee ,all im saying debate is healthy and fantastic , but some of the comments on here and in the forum in general makes me think its little more than playground bickering.

Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.
rocketrod replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Brilliant publicity for the kid, im guessing all those that posted on here and who read the star will follow his scores with interest if he fails or succeeds. -
very shrewd signing.he took a year off to take stock of his career and his life.he knows this is his last chance.he is fully aware of his mistakes at Plymouth and redcar, though redcar didn't exactly cover themselves in glory behind the scenes with him.but that's in the past and so a fresh start is what he wanted and got and hopefully Justin will fullfill his undoubted potential...

British Speedway Promoters Meeting
rocketrod replied to dantodan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
apologies in advance but I cant be arsed to read 58 pages of waffle, rumour and conjecture.ive just read the bspa statement about next season. so are teams now going to consist of 3 permanent riders,2 double up from premier league and 2 national league juniors or has this not been decided yet.?
