The season is NOT over, it has another 18 days to run and a quick look at the BSPA site will show you there are several fixtures left. The 'get the play-offs in before Sky start showing more football' abbreviated elite league might have finished (bar one match) but the season does not finish until October 31st. However, I do agree that t & c for next season should be in place before now to allow the promoters to start getting teams sorted.

And ride where they want to, usually where they get the best deal for themselves.

It's not us trying to stop other riders coming here. The Poles have said they don't want riders they sign riding in more than one league other than the Polish league, and even then it's only the top Polish division apparently. The inference there could be that any riders riding in GB and Sweden won't be given rides in Poland. Nothing wrong there.

What Would You Like From The Agm

Which could be cut back tremendously if the Polish thought of Polish and one other league only comes into being. -

Maybe, maybe not. But what they can say is that they won't employ them if they ride in both GB and Sweden. -
The Pzms New Two Team Rule.

But your own top rider and current world champion saying 'up your's' to his own country's league (until the continental money dries up) gives me a slight doubt that the riders might stand together to beat this. -

True, but the Poles are at liberty to not pick any who ride in Sweden and GB for the Polish matches. -

Don't see it as arrogant. It's a way of ensuring they get their riders for their matches and, let's be honest, if we could do something to ensure EL riders ride EL first, the rest afterwards, we would. Trouble is we're now too small in the world of speedway to try it. Woffy sat out the EL, Freddie did the other year, Puk was going to this, so can't see that riders won't bow to it if the PZM really mean it. -

I suppose it will come down to who pays the most, GB or Poland. Don't see how not wanting your workforce to moonlight in more than one country (and the GPs for some) can be seen as illegal. -
Speedway Star Article : 'lindback Adds Up'
Vincent Blachshadow replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yeah, but wouldn't the 'professionally presented evidence' have a clue or two in there somewhere? -
Probably because substitutions of one sort or another are part and parcel of most sports these days and the subs could only score the same points as the opponent if they finish in the same place (3 for the win, 2 for second, 1 for third). A competitor finishing second outscoring the man that beat him doesn't seem right.

Poole Sign Lindback

Just posting how I see it. Sorry we don't see eye to eye, but not everybody sees this as right or good for the sport. -
Poole Sign Lindback

Whether Ford asked for the reassessment, mentioning the figure the average must be under and suggested the way this could be achieved (the 11 match figure mentioned) or just asked and sat and waited for the result (which suited perfectly) someone did help. I can't believe the 7 average was decided on without knowing the target figure but one can believe whatever one wants as to how it was arrived at. -
Poole Sign Lindback

Unprompted and with no input from Ford, the MC bloke came up with an average that fitted in nicely with the proposed change. Yeah, right. -
I suppose that depends on whether coming back in the pre-play-off strengthening procedure after the European fixtures dry up can be classed as a return to British speedway. The chance to earn a few extra thousand quid and to deprive another rider of an EL 'Champions' medal doesn't count as a come-back in my view.

Probably emanating from the source that originally fed that line to whoever agreed the reassessment. -

In other words, it's not recorded anywhere. Never had that average then. -
Kelvin And The Agm

Of course they are, it doesn't mean they believe that to be true. They're hardly going to say Poole are only where they are by bending rules and influencing the hierarchy even if they believe it to be true. They're after attracting viewers not losing them. -

Where's this 6.34 recorded Steve?
